About: My name is Jennifer Martinez. My love for pets is what caused me to enter the pet sitting world. As far back as I can remember I have always loved and been around animals. I come from a dog loving household and have gained experience by watching the dogs of family and friends. I have studied animal care in college and have hopes to one day become a veterinarian. I currently work as a case manager, which means my weekly schedule is flexible and varies day-to-day. I have appointments at different times throughout the week, but I’m able to come and go as needed. With a little notice, I can schedule my work appointments around your availability and your pet’s routine. I’m used to balancing a dynamic schedule, so making sure your pet gets the consistent care, walks, and attention they need is always a priority. As a dog mom to two high-energy, love-filled pups, I know how important structure, attention, and affection are. At home, our days include frequent walks, plenty of yard time to burn off energy, and a consistent meal and treat routine. We use clear, consistent verbiage for commands and always reward good behavior; lots of praise, treats, and even more snuggles. I love keeping dogs mentally and physically stimulated, so car rides, errands, and controlled socialization are a regular part of our routine. I bring that same approach to caring for pets in a client’s home. I follow your instructions closely, keep your pet’s routine intact, and make sure they feel safe, understood, and loved while you’re away. Whether they need exercise, structure, gentle reassurance, or just someone to hang out with, I meet each pet where they are and give them the same level of care I give my own.

“Mary and her family took care of my 2 dogs for 2 nights and they did a great job. If there are other dogs in the house they keep them separated with supervision so there won't be any confrontations between dogs. Both of my dogs receive medications and a special diet and they were given their pills, food and supplements according to the instructions I had given. They have a nice size fenced in yard for potty breaks and outdoor time. Mary was very prompt at communicating with me via texts and sent me a photo with a brief update everyday.”
