“Donna is such a lovely and kind person and took excellent care of our dog. He is shy, timid and cautiously friendly but it didn’t take him too long at all to start trusting her and getting comfortable! Donna kept us updated with texts and photos throughout his stay. We felt completely at ease knowing he was with her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“I’m so happy I found Kristin to watch my girl. She took great care of her and was extremely communicative. My dog is a very anxious girl but Kristin was patient and and kind to her. Will definitely have Kristin watch her again.”

“Krista and her family were awesome as always with boarding Indie for a short work trip! Krista has a clean home with a large backyard and 2 super friendly dogs. I am a repeat customer and would highly recommend her boarding services! She is very communicative and was flexible with my drop off and pick up times when my flight got delayed and I needed Indie to stay a few hours longer.”

“Julie was great with our golden doodle Bodhi! She watched him while we were away for a few days and we felt very at ease that he was in great hands! We got daily updates/pics which let us know Bodhi was having a great time without mom and dad. We will certainly book with Julie again and definitely recommend her!”
“I wanted to go visit my daughter who lives 3 hrs away, I couldn’t take my dog with me. I searched the website and found Kyle N. He is a wonderful person, kind and professional. He took good care of my baby Rocky, send me pictures of him making himself at home and taking him on a walk. I will consider him anytime and recommend him to anyone. You rock Kyle N.”

“Alexis was GREAT when she boarded my dog! She made us feel really comfortable with leaving our pup there over the weekend! She was really accommodating and responsive too! I would definitely bring my dog back to stay with Alexis.”

“Tereza did a wonderful job with my dog. Tater Tot clearly liked her, and I came home to a happily tired dog. She was very communicative and took great pictures. It's obvious that she played with him a ton and even brought him on a nice long hike with her pup. Her dog was very sweet and polite. I felt like my dog was in really good hands. I hope she's available every time I go out of town.”

“Cynthia and her Husband Lance were welcoming and willing to help us out last minute. They took really good care of of dog and made him feel like home. Would 100% recommend them! Thank you again!”

“Nanci and her husband were wonderful and you can tell they truly love dogs. Molly seemed to enjoy being with them and they took her for regular walks and kept in contact with photos. We definitely plan to use them again!”

“Megan was super nice to work with and I highly recommend putting your dog in her care.. My sister and I put our two Maltese, Holly and Baeu with her for 5 days and I could tell they were well taken care of..”

About: I am a Certified vet assistant trained in animal nutrition, grooming, and care. I have worked at Sight and Sound Theaters as an Animal Caretaker, Animal Handler, and an Animal Trainer. I have had several pets of my own and love all animals. For grooming I can clip hair, brush teeth, trim nails, and check basic health of animals. I know all basic animal training and can work on a multitude of things with your pets; ranging from standard things like sit, stay, lay, to more advanced things like crawl, speak, spin and other fun tricks. In addition to cats and dogs I have worked with birds, horses, camels, rats, pigs, cows and skunks. I have a lot of experience in training, healthcare, and grooming.
“D was a great dog sitter and our boy Dyson came home utterly exhausted from running and playing so much. She took time to figure out his particular needs and personality and made sure he felt comfortable and safe. He most certainly did! Great updates and videos! Can't wait to send him to D's farm again, lots of stimulation, he had no time to miss us.”

“Sheree did a great job taking care of my dog, Theo. She constantly kept me updated on how he was doing and sent plenty of pictures. Theo seemed to have a lot of fun with her dog Charlie. I would definitely book with her again if I’m in need of another sitter!”

“Foxy was great with my two dogs. She provided pictures and updates. Lincoln has separation anxiety, and she knew how to calm him, to the point that he owned the house. Blitz is a high-energy boy, and I know he kept her busy. This was a last-minute booking instead of the kennel at the vet - So glad the boys had a great vacation too!”

“Sarah was outstanding in every way! Kodi was in excellent hands and treated like family with her. We are so thankful to have met her. She’s an outstanding sitter and person to trust your fur baby with. We will absolutely reach out to her again. Wish I could give her 10 stars for how fantastic she was!”

“Mai was fantastic! We were nervous since it was our first time using Rover. Mai sent us updates and pictures to ease our worries! Nalah was very well taken care of and cared for! Mai even went above and beyond and brought Nalah to the venue to get wedding pictures with us! We would definitely let Nalah stay with Mai again!”

We last minute needed a pet sitter the night before we were leaving for a trip for a week. Laura was amazing, quick to respond and gave daily updates. She worked diligently to make sure that my boy was comfortable in his new environment. There's no one else that I will contact in the future. Thank you so much Laura.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
