About: I grew up with all sorts of animals and livestock, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and providing care based on each pet’s individual needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and am happy to follow training routines, feeding schedules, and any special care instructions you provide. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and will keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away if wanted! ☺️ Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work in an office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. most weekdays, so I’m available before and after work, on evenings, weekends, and many holidays. On days I work from home or have flexibility in my schedule, I can often accommodate additional visits as well. When caring for your pet, I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure they’re cared for according to their routine. Whether it’s morning walks, evening playtime, drop-in visits, or overnight care that fits my schedule, I’ll provide dependable, attentive care and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages. I have a securely fenced backyard where dogs can play, explore, and get plenty of exercise under my supervision. I also have a friendly, well-socialized dog who enjoys the company of other dogs, but I’ll always introduce pets gradually and make sure everyone is comfortable. If a dog needs their own space for meals, rest, or simply feels more secure in a crate, I have a kennel available and will follow your preferences and your dog’s normal routine.

About: I'm an experienced animal caregiver of many species. I have owned dogs for about 10 years and have lots of experience administering medications and providing specialized treatments. I have worked previously with mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, etc and currently own chickens and dogs. I'm comfortable providing a nail trimming service and bathing if requested. I love meeting new furry (or scaled or feathered) friends and hope to hear from you soon! I work full time in Ames but would be happy to care for your pets around my work schedule. About: I've always had pets be apart of my life ever since I can remember. I love all animals! I've had experience with both cats and dogs. I'm familiar with senior pets as well, my furry friend is living his best senior life right now. I'm able to give oral medications as well if need be! I am comfortable caring for pets with special diets and administration of oral medicine. I have school on weekdays, but I'm available for walks during the lunch hours from 11am - 1pm. I'm also available after 5pm Monday - Friday and have full availability on weekends. Your pet's comfort is my number one concern so I have no problem coming to you or taking your pet to their favorite park. I'm comfortable walking larger dogs that pull the leash and explore or older dogs with limited mobility. My dog has a vestibular issue, so I'm experienced lifting pets to help them up and down stairs and getting into cars. I'm also experienced giving oral medication, clipping/shaving nails, and bathing.

About: I’ve had for dogs of every age and size for my entire life, but have been a serious caretaker of them for about 10 years. I can give medicines including insulin shots, and will heed every dietary and exercise need given to me. I’m currently working full-time, however I commute from Ames to Des Moines every day so I am used to driving long distances. I also have a very flexible schedule and can work from home if I can give at least 2-3 days notice; I can leave for long periods at lunch; and I can get off work early if a drop-in visit is needed before 4:00. I can also stay as late as necessary into the evening, as long as expectations are communicated beforehand. I am extremely communicative and I will let my clients know if I am early, behind, or unable to complete a task. I cannot take pets into my apartment or workplace, however, I have experience with strictly and loosely trained animals in just about every situation under the sun. I am comfortable staying the night in a well secured home, or taking a few minutes to play with the pet(s) in the middle of the day. I am extremely clean and organized and will strive to leave my clients’ homes in the same shape or cleaner in case there are any accidents, as I am also well-versed in cleaning up after any mishaps from being left alone or too excited.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
