“We just hired Courtney this past weekend, to drop by and take care of our Sheltiie, Sarah. I was a little nervous at first if this was going to work out because Sarah, like all dogs, doesn’t like it when we go away. In addition, she had an upset stomach. But my worries were put to rest, as Courtney sent a picture of Sarah and a summary of how things were going, with each visit. I truly appreciated that! Sarah was perky when we came home . About: I have taken care of many breeds of dogs since I was practically 6 I am able to stick to a schedule and direct direction. I can work whenever I’m needed for however long and mix in the time with my pets and animals but balance it with other pets I will make sure of what it okay for your pet to be doing and that everything is put away where I got it I will make sure not to touch anything not involving the dog I will message if I need further information.

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats all my life. I have owned dogs ranging in different sizes and breeds: St. Bernard, Maremma Sheepdog, Boxer, Cocker Spaniel, German Shorthair Pointer, and Hush Basset. I have experience with Ragdoll, Himalayan, and Persian cat breeds. Also have experience with rabbits, sugar gliders, geckos, and guinea pigs. We are a family that loves animals, and we would be happy and grateful to love on yours while they are in our care! I am a stay at home mom so I have a fairly flexible schedule, and am available to pet sit most any day of the week. I have 3 female dogs that are all very friendly, and get along well with other dogs and cats. We do not have a fenced in yard, but we do have a cable, and an outdoor kennel run for dogs that would like some outside time.

“Jess was such a great choice to watch my Sammy boy. We were gone from 5/22-6/1 and had no idea it was getting VERY warm here in Iowa. We did not yet have our window air conditioners in. At one point, it got to 85 in our house. I was able to have a neighbor install the window ac’s. Jess was concerned for Sam and offered to stop by to check on him (on a day that wasn’t originally on the calendar). I truly appreciate her doing that! We were in Florida and that helped eased my mind!! We’re already set up to have her take care of him later this summer. Thanks again Jess!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was very young. I’m very patient and love animals so much. I travel too much to have a dog full time so this opportunity is perfect for me. I have 3 boys that are absolute animals lovers. My 14 year old often times likes to come play with or walk dogs with me. He’s a great asset in helping burn some energy of your fur babies while you’re away. Please let me know if you or your pet are not comfortable with this. My schedule is flexible. I do travel for work but I know well I’m advance so I can make my availability open to other things. Your pets safety is my number one concern. If I am coming to you I will follow the rules you already have in place for them and try to adhere to that if they come to me as well.

Any animal in Mackenzie’s care will get the attention that any pet deserves. As her husband, I can see first hand her care for animals; visiting pumpkin patches in the fall isn’t just about the corn mazes, it’s about being with the farm animals, or even the farm cat that happens to walk by and ends up getting its belly scratched - Mackenzie will always find her way to make the animals the feature of any activity. This love has been imprinted on our older daughter who loves her dogs and also loves any animal she comes across.”
