About: Hi, I’m Sofia! 🐾 I’ve had pets my entire life—dogs, guinea pigs, and bunnies (though not birds). I grew up in a dog-loving family, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Back in my home country, I spent 4 years rescuing and rehoming stray dogs and cats. During that time, I helped over 30 animals find loving homes. Here in the U.S., I’ve fostered for both the city shelter and a rescue group, and I also adopted my sweet girl, Hope, from the shelter. She sadly passed away in June 2025, and while I’m not ready to adopt again just yet, I would love to open my home and heart to pets through Rover—especially on weekends. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets, from tiny Yorkies to big pittie mixes, and I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages—energetic puppies, anxious or reactive pups, and senior dogs who need extra gentleness. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your furry family member like their own, I’d love to help! ❤️ I’m currently working full time during the week, so I’m available most weekends, at anytime (morning, afternoon, evening) we can talk about it, make it work for both! I provide loving, attentive care for pets both in my home and in my clients’ homes. In my home, I ensure a safe and comfortable environment, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and social interaction tailored to each pet’s personality and needs. I maintain regular feeding schedules, provide fresh water, and give medications if needed. I also clean up after pets promptly and keep their spaces tidy. In clients’ homes, I treat pets and their environment with the same care and respect as if they were my own. I follow any specific instructions provided for feeding, walking, playtime, and routines, and I communicate updates to the owners so they feel reassured while away. I have years of experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and bunnies, including fostering and rescuing over 30 animals in my home country, and fostering for local shelters in the U.S., which has taught me to adapt to different temperaments and household situations
