Cheylee was absolutely lovely! She took meticulous care of our 2 dogs and a cat, and our home. Our senior dog had special needs and she went above and beyond caring for him and sending us daily updates and pictures. She left our home cleaner than we left it. I will hire her again in a heartbeat and I would highly recommend her!

Anna took outstanding care of our three kitties while we were on vacation and our home was perfect upon our return. She sent frequent updates with pictures of our fur babies playing and being their goofy selves. The communication was excellent which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our time away. Highly recommend her friendly, professional service.

Scott was an incredible dog sitter! We have two dogs — one elderly and one very high energy — plus a cat, and he handled all of them so well. He sent lots of great photos and updates throughout our trip, which gave us so much peace of mind. When we got home, the house looked fantastic, and it was clear our pets had been very well cared for. Beyond that, Scott is just a genuinely great person. We were so happy with him and will definitely use him again!

Appreciate Tami taking care of girl even though Aurora took some time to warm up to her. She took her on walks even in the Phoenix heat and stayed with her as well as gave us updates. We felt secure knowing that Tami was with her.

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated animal lover and experienced pet caregiver with a home full of personality including my two Shar-Peis (Dior and Hercules) and two tortoises(Cleo and Franklin). Caring for my special needs Shar-Pei Hercules has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how important individualized care is for every pet. I know pets are family, and I treat every animal with the same love, safety, and attention I give my own. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, routine, or extra patience, I’m committed to making them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work part-time (8 days per month), which allows me to dedicate a large portion of my time to pet care. My daily routine already revolves around caring for my own pets, including two Shar-Peis—one with special needs—and two tortoises. Because of this, I’m experienced in maintaining consistent schedules, providing attentive supervision, and adapting care based on each animal’s individual needs. I’m able to offer dependable, flexible care and give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a loving, calm, and attentive environment where pets are treated like family. I understand that every animal has different needs, personalities, and routines, and I make it a priority to follow their schedule as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervised play, potty breaks, exercise, and affection. I have experience caring for my own two Shar-Peis, including one with special needs, which has taught me patience, awareness, and the importance of individualized care. I also care for two tortoises, giving me experience with animals beyond dogs as well. I’m attentive to behavior, eating habits, and overall comfort, and I’m happy to follow any feeding, medication, or care instructions you provide. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home while giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I have lifelong experience caring for both cats and dogs, including rescues, seniors, anxious pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. I’ve lived with pets my entire life and currently care for my own animals, so I understand how important routines, safety, and trust are. I’m comfortable with a wide range of services — drop‑ins, walks, house sitting, feeding routines, medication (oral), litter box care, crate training, and supporting pets with mobility or confidence challenges. I adapt my care to each pet’s personality. Whether your dog is energetic or slow‑moving, or your cat is social, shy, or spicy, I meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel safe and understood. You’ll always receive reliable communication, updates, and photos so you know exactly how your pet is doing while you’re away. I treat every animal with the same love, gentleness, and attention I give my own. I am a full-time mental health counselor and have a passion for taking care of animals. I am available almost every day of the week and have a flexible schedule! I always keep a sharp eye on any animal to ensure their safety and overall wellbeing are in good spirits. Nonetheless, whether it is on leash or a fenced in yard, your child is in good hands!

There aren't enough posititve words to describe Shelley. She is amazing. Benson loved every minute with her. She was very communicative and sent lots of pics and movies. She willingly got up at 4:30am for his morning walks before the heat set in. She went above and beyond with the way she left the house so clean. I was really able to enjoy my vacation because I didn't have to worry about Benson. She will be our sitter from now on!

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have four of my own, so caring for pets is something that comes naturally to me. Through the years, I’ve gained experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities, and I’ve also helped care for dogs belonging to friends, family and others when they’ve needed a reliable sitter. I currently work a low-stress, remote job on weekdays, so I can be attentive to your pets for most of the day, whether it be taking them outside, playing with them, taking them on walks or whatever they need. When caring for pets, I make it a priority to keep them feel safe and comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, whether it be feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications and any special care requirements. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their personality and preferences to help them feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away.

Landon was so great! Our dog sitter of ~6 years has moved on from sitting, so we needed to find someone new. Communication was so clear, direct, and quick. This was his first sit for our Fifi and he asked many questions and sent updates, which was much appreciated. Fifi is pretty easy, but does have a lot of small routines to follow and medications at different times. It felt like he really cared about her and making sure he got it right. Will definitely be trying to book Landon for our future sitting needs!

Landon was a great housesitter for us for Thanksgiving this year. He was very attentive to our care instructions, asked detailed questions, and was even flexible with some last minute medical needs for one of our dogs. Landon was very trustworthy and we came back to a clean house and happy, healthy dogs!

FAQs for House Sitting - Wranglers Roost

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wranglers Roost on Rover is $79.12 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,762 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wranglers Roost. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wranglers Roost walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wranglers Roost maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wranglers Roost choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wranglers Roost. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
