“Jennifer was fabulous. Very, very communicative. Lots of pictures and videos. Jennifer is very friendly, kind, and very caring. I came home to a spotless home, healthy plants and happy dogs. Highly recommend Jennifer!!”

“Top notch Dog Sitter!! I highly recommend Ashleigh!!! I have so many good things to say about her service. She went above and beyond. Ashleigh was so attentive to my dog. She was challenged with a senior dog with high separation anxiety. I asked if she’d stay home with my dog more than be away. She spent long days and evenings with my girl just like I asked. She put the dog food, meds and treats in refridge after she noticed a line of ants on my counters. Ashleigh was so kind to voluntarily wash the bedsheets and put new ones on for me. That saved a lot of time for me after a long flight I can’t keep up with all the extras she did for me and my dog. Oh and she’s so fun to talk to as well. I was so pleased she was at a mature age rather than too young to know how to run a household. I feel my dog was in safe hands with Ashleigh and I’m already hiring her for 3 weeks from now for more overnights! She’s trustworthy, reliable and responds timely. Plus she just moved to Prescott, still unpacking and accepted my request on a last minute request. Thank you, Ashleigh for a job well done! Jingles thanks you! We have more trips where we will definitely hire Ashleigh. I just hope she isn’t booked”

“Absolutely fantastic housesitting experience with Beth. We are very protective of our little buddy and Beth delivered across the board. She was communicative and always put our pup's needs first. I look forward to Beth staying with our little guy again!”

“Cassidy was absolutely amazing! Regardless of a mixup in location on my part she made sure to be nothing less than a perfect dog sitter. She sent tons of videos and pictures which made me feel so happy and stress free when out of town. I knew my dog was feeling loved when I was gone and couldn’t be more thankful for her!”

“Gail stayed with our 2 poodles while we were away. She kept us well informed of their daily activities. I couldn’t be more pleased with how she made us feel at ease as our sitter.”

“Scott was an incredible dog sitter! We have two dogs — one elderly and one very high energy — plus a cat, and he handled all of them so well. He sent lots of great photos and updates throughout our trip, which gave us so much peace of mind. When we got home, the house looked fantastic, and it was clear our pets had been very well cared for. Beyond that, Scott is just a genuinely great person. We were so happy with him and will definitely use him again!”

“Anna took outstanding care of our three kitties while we were on vacation and our home was perfect upon our return. She sent frequent updates with pictures of our fur babies playing and being their goofy selves. The communication was excellent which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our time away. Highly recommend her friendly, professional service.”

“Chris is amazing! By far the best experience we have had. House was spotless, all animals were well taken care of. I would absolutely book her again. Words do not explain how well she did. Thank you so much Chris!!!!!”

“Jack did an amazing job watching my three dogs! He was attentive, responsible, and clearly loves animals. My pups were happy and well cared for during my absence. I highly recommend Jack for anyone in need of a reliable dog sitter!”
“Sharlene was awesome! She took care of our puppy Comet and was available under very short notice. She took him on walks and he was pretty happy when we came back ?”
“Aayana was great to work with and the cats/house were well taken care of. She was incredibly flexible when we had inclement weather affect our travel plans and we will definitely use her again in the future!”

“As always, Mackenzie takes amazing care of our Pickles and goes above and beyond. We are so grateful for her help when we are away. You won’t regret hiring her for all of your pet needs. She’s a star!”

“Queston took care of Charlie like he was his own. Ran him a ton (which he needs) and took some great action shots! I really liked that he checked in each morning and night and was available when I reached out to him. I highly recommend!”

“Caitlin was amazing! We don't have kids and very protective of our furbaby. Caitlin treated Bella like she was her own pup. She did all the basics, followed our instructions, but so much more. Loved all updates and pics she sent. Bella was definitely spoiled. Caitlin also took great care of our home. We will definitely be booking her again.”

“Lauren took great care of our dog and home while we were out of town. She is very responsible and clearly loves dogs! She will be our first call when we are in need of someone to housesit again.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all shapes and sizes: fish, chickens, goats, horses, and of course cats and dogs! I started working with dogs and training them when I was 7 years old in county 4-H, and then when I was in high school I assisted with puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, where I helped raisers socialize young puppies from 10 weeks to 18 months before they went back for further training. I’ve helped family and friends raise puppies they can live with and love, and my own dogs have been the best part of my life. I’m a current graduate student at Embry-Riddle, and I’m reliable, safe, and experienced in animal care. I’d love to work with you and your fuzzy family members! I work early shifts, so I’m available most of the afternoon and Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I love taking walks in the early morning, before it gets too hot and the sidewalk is still nice and comfortable. My favorite thing is letting the dog set the pace, and sniff to their heart’s content. I can visit most homes in Prescott and Prescott Valley during the workday if needed, and have flexibility for other events or longer trips if needed. I make sure to keep as close to the expected routine as possible whenever I pet sit. Everyone likes to know when they have to get up in the morning or when breakfast is coming, and your pets are no different. I’m comfortable working with dogs of varying personalities, and can understand when they might be more open to play or socialization, versus when they just need some calm and relaxation.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 500 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bumble Bee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bumble Bee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bumble Bee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bumble Bee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bumble Bee. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
