Now I’ve never been able to connect with a dog on that level since her but I still love them. & hope some day I will be able to give my kids that. I am a single mom with 3 kids under the age of 6. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting on and off for family friends and neighbors since I was a teenager, but started doing so more professionally in the past 5 years. Most of my experience is with overnight care for dogs (ranging from a single night to a full month at a time) but I’m an animal lover with personal experience caring for every kind of pet imaginable (horses, ferrets, fish, cats, bunnies, reptiles/tortoises). About: I'm was professional pet trainer at a major retail chain. I've lived with a dog, cat, chinchilla, hamster, bird, or fish most of my life. I love fur babies and want help people when they need to be away from their beloved pets. Most recently, I helped sit a household with four elderly dogs with various medical needs. Ideally with pet sitting, my wife and I would meet the dogs and/or cats before we pet sit to learn their specific needs, and learn where the food and treats hide. About: Hello! I have been taking care of animals since I was very little and have over 10 years of experience. I currently have 2 large dogs of my own and have owned other dogs and small animals in the past. And while I haven’t owned them, I have taken care of cats and reptiles in the past as well. I previously worked at a dog daycare for 3 years, and I’m currently working at a veterinary hospital. In working at the daycare I have experience working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from Great Danes and Pitbulls to Chihuahuas and Dachshunds, and working at the vet has given me much more insight into animal care as well. I have experience with the following: senior pets, handicapped dogs, anxious pets, epileptic dogs, medications, and training puppies. I know how stressful it is to leave your pets so I pride myself in giving the same kind of care I would want my own fur babies to have. I currently work part time during the summer, so I will have plenty of time to help out with your pets! During the fall and winter I attend college and work. I will still be available during those times, my availability just may be slim. Note: I work 6-8 hour shifts on my work days so potty breaks on days I work would be would be at least that far apart plus travel time I pride myself in giving the same kind of care I would want my dogs to receive. At this time I am not offering boarding in my home, but I am more than willing to stay at your home (with potential overnight stays if needed). I find that dogs are less stressed when they stay at home rather than at a strangers house. That being said, I always make time for cuddles and other activities to try to keep your pets at ease so that going on a trip is just as relaxing for your pets as it is for you.
