About: I worked at the zoo for a year handling and caring for the small animals. In addition, I have own many different species of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, and reptiles! We currently have three cats and a leopard gecko. In the past, I have stayed at houses to care for pets and we have also welcomed pets into our home. My husband and I currently stay home and thus can offer lots of quality time with your pet! We both love animals and are excited to welcome them temporarily to our family. We have a fenced in yard and a private suite that allows the pets to have their own space away from our family pets and gives them some alone time as needed.

Whether in your home or mine, I’m looking forward to caring for your pet. My home’s layout is naturally divided into sections that create the cat side and the dog side. The dog side includes a doggy door to my expansive back yard for daytime access. The cat side boasts two cat trees, a bay window, and a bird feeder. My dog is a 3-year-old black lab, fully vetted and vaccinated. She is quiet, friendly, and playful. Because my spouse is a certified dog trainer and canine handler, our pup is well trained. She was crate-trained originally, but now sleeps on our family room sofa where your dog is also welcome. I have experience administering insulin to a senior dog for whom I care in the owner’s home. I also have experience caring for a cat with a feeding tube in my home. I am comfortable giving oral and injectable medicines to both cats and dogs. Because I exclusively work from home and have flexibility in my schedule, I am ideally set up to provide pet care, including to dogs and cats with special needs. I can accommodate dog walks or in-home medication administration during daytime and evening hours. Thanks to my experience overseeing a childcare center when my children were young, I am skilled at logging and communicating pet routines to keep you updated while you are away. About: I have an Advanced Certificate in Animal Behavior and Conservation from Hunter College in NYC, where my dog participated in canine cognition studies (she's a genius). I have cared for my own dogs for 20+ years and am ready to open my home to your fur babes + fur bros as well. My girl is a poodle/ terrier mix, 9 years old, with a puppy attitude in a middle aged body (she gets tired). My previous dog was quite sick in her senior years and I cared for her, managed her appointments and medications, for several years. When I adopted my current dog she was not housebroken and didn't know any commands, and now she is perfect. I apprenticed with a dog trainer in NYC and am very comfortable training basic commands. I always care for my families dogs when they travel, so I've had up to 3 dogs here at a time. I have a cat, but he is very dog friendly, and if the dog doesn't seem to like cats, he will go hang out in his kitty man cave (the basement). I am comfortable with all sizes of dogs, but will need to make sure my dog is comfortable if we are doing day care or boarding. I'm currently freelancing, so I am free a lot of the time. I won't accept bookings when I have freelance gigs, so your dog will have my full attention. I have a large fenced yard and I love to sit on the deck and watch my dog sunbathe; I will pay very close attention to your beloved fur child. I don't leave my dog unattended outside, and will do the same for your dog.

My Golden retriever and myself are active volunteers with a local non-profit K9 search and rescue team where my dog and I specialize in live find rescues for lost persons. I am Fear Free certified and have experience with dogs of various ages, breeds, sizes and special needs (with a soft spot and so much love for our shy and senior pets!) Whether caring for your pets in my home, or yours, I would love to have a meet and greet prior to caring for them to ensure the best possible match for all! In my home, your pet will be accompanied by my pets (2 dogs - a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever - and 1 cat) as well as my husband and my teenager daughter! I love taking photos and will ALWAYS share photos and daily updates of my time with your pets while you are away! During the week, I do work outside of the home and am unable to remain in the home 24 hours a day while caring for your pets. I have the ability to crate dogs in my home for those who may feel most comfortable having their own safety net, along with the ability to provide pets with their own room at night or anytime when being left home alone unsupervised. Your pets will have their own space for feeding time. To ensure the safety of all, clients' pets will never be left unsupervised with my resident pets.
