Nibbler had the best time at Lindsey’s today! She was so patient and understanding with him since this was his first real day away from his home spending time with other dogs and people for an extended period of time. Nibbler can’t wait to go back!

About: Energetic nurse, dedicated pet parent, and lifelong animal lover here to give your furry family members the royal treatment! I have a 1.5-year-old medium size rescue, whom I’ve trained from day one. I fully understand the wild puppy phase, the endless energy, and just how much patience (and love!) it takes to raise a well-behaved dog. Thanks to my super active lifestyle, your pets will always get plenty of fun exercise, zoomies, and playtime to keep their tails wagging. I have 100+ volunteer hours at the Franklin County Dog Shelter under my belt, working with pups of every size, personality, and energy level. Plus, as a nurse, I bring an extra layer of expert care to the table—I’m completely comfortable administering oral meds to cats and dogs, as well as handling injections. Whether your pet needs an adventurous brisk walk, a precise medical routine, or just heaps of love, I’m ready to make their time away from you absolute perfection! I am a nurse so on my days off I have basically the entire day wide open. I am a very active person and love going on walks. I am very flexible on time so whatever is best for your pet I can work the rest of my schedule around that! As a volunteer at the Franklin County Dog Shelter I have received training on how to handle, crate, walk, and feed dogs of all behavioral styles. I have gained over 100+ hours of volunteering at the shelter which has given me the confidence and experience to care for dogs of all type. As a nurse I am all about safety and will care for your pet in a way that makes both you and the pet feel safe and comfortable.

Shanelle was great with my senior dog Remi! Remi can be a little slow to warm up and Shanelle (and her dog Ray) respected her boundaries as she was getting comfortable during her stay. I loved the photo updates while Remi was staying there, as well as the clear and concise communication from Shanelle. I’ll be booking with her again! :)

About: Hi! I am a pet owner and enthusiast. Since I am a professor, I work from home and have a lot of free time in summers and holidays to hang out with your wonderful dog. Additionally, my husband works from home so your pooch will never be alone and will have frequent walks around the many green spaces in Franklinton. Our favorite is the river. I love getting to know a pet’s wants, anticipate their anxieties, and most importantly play! My work requires me to be on-site part time, so I am quite flexible for overnight stays, extra long walks, and boarding at my place with my sheltie Flora. I have a two bedroom apartment with my sweet, spayed sheltie Flora who loves to play and take naps. I am quite active so I would be happy to take your dog on long epic walks.

Clark had the best the day with Sally! I am so happy I am able to leave my boy with her. She clearly made him feel right at home as he went right to play. What I love the most is that the safety I feel she is giving him and the comfort of his own home. She is offering her place so your dog still feels at home while they are away, and that feels really special. It takes a good person to be able to pull that off.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since 2015, but I’ve had pets all my life. I truly treat every animal like family. Caring for my pitbull for 13 years and my cat for 8 years, immediately after that, I understand deep, loyal love. What sets me apart is my calm, intuitive energy. Pets feel safe, seen, and comforted in my care. I’m currently in the slow season with my company and have lots of time to dedicate to taking care of your fur babies. I have 2-4 hours of time I may have to work a day but the rest is becoming besties with your bestie. ☺️ I have a fenced in yard and no existing pets. Your fur baby will feel nice and safe like they are on vacation too with lots of love and attention.

About: I am a dog mom, cat mom and a part time MBA student. My two cats are very well socialized with dogs, and my puppy Suki is absolutely obsessed with other dogs. We live in an apartment in downtown Columbus with plenty of space for a small dog guest. There are small grass patches in my apartment where I can take a dog to potty, they would need to be leashed the entire time. In my spare time, I like to spend time outside walking the scioto mile, and I like to paint. My current daily routine is flexible so I would be able to provide any care necessary. I used to have a senior dog that required a lot of TLC, and now I have a 4 pound puppy with a fast metabolism that also requires TLC for other reasons. suki is partially potty trained, but we do use indoor pads and a live grass patch. It’s OK if your dog is small and pad trained, I have plenty of cleaning supplies to take care of any accidents. I take safety very seriously for all pets. My cat takes a consistent medication every night at 9 PM and we haven’t missed it for the past four years. Also small dogs take a special amount of attention to keep safe.

About: I’m an animal lover that wants to give your pet the best vacation experience possible! I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in capable hands. I have experience taking care of my own dog for 10 years. I also have great knowledge of how to handle a variety of problems with various pets, and will adhere to each and every one of their personal needs. I’m comfortable with administering any medication or taking any special care for an individual pet’s needs. Making your pet feel comfortable and happy when away from you is my top priority. Please feel free to contact me with any questions! I currently work from home and make my own hours, so I’m very flexible and can give your pet round-the-clock care whenever and however they need it. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly pup of my own that gets daily walks and enrichment toys. About: Hi, I'm Daniel, and dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've cared for up to three dogs at once and even bred one of my own, who had a litter of eight puppies. That experience gave me a deep understanding of dogs at every stage of life, from newborns to adults. Your pup will be in experienced, loving hands with me! I work from home, so I am able to spend quality time with your dog and take them out on a regular cadence. I am flexible with my schedule. I live in a house with a fenced-in yard, so your dog will also have the opportunity to roam around off-leash. I keep pets safe by ensuring secure, escape-proof spaces, maintaining their normal routine, and giving them constant attention and affection in a calm, comfortable environment they can feel at home in.

About: I’ve been a foster parent for Columbus Humane for 5 years. I’ve fostered everything from big dogs rescued from abuse cases to litters of kittens and their moms to pregnant guinea pigs! I also grew up in a house with 5 dogs and 2 cats—so nothing can surprise me. I have experience with breeds of all sizes, puppies, special medical needs, senior/end-of-life care, mixed animal homes (dogs AND cats, for example), and behavioral issues (other-dog aggressive, skittish, etc). I study from home all day and relax by going on walks with a science podcast. Your house, my house, whatever works—I’d love for your pup to join me! I’m currently studying from home full-time! So plenty of time for play, walks, potty breaks, or cuddles. I can do overnight boarding and doggy daycare at my house (I have a fenced backyard). I can offer lots of walks and attention as I study from home. I have a fenced-in backyard for playtime/potty and spare rooms for separation if needed. There is 1 set or stairs, but I can carry those who cannot do stairs if they are under 30lbs. I have experience with medical needs and first-aid. I’m happy to discuss your unique situation and see if we fit!

Lindsey saved my day. Was able to drop off my dog day-of after a doggy daycare failed to open on Labor Day, despite discussing with me over the phone twice that they would take her. Lindsey took great care of Calypso and was very understanding when I was 30 minutes later picking her up than I'd originally said. My dog was very happy and very tired when I picked her up, the perfect combo. Could not recommend enough.

Annie was wonderful! This was our first time using Rover, and she made it such a great experience. She was very communicative throughout the day, sent lots of pictures and updates, and it was clear that Roger was in great hands. Roger had so much fun with Annie and her dog, Tank—they got along so well! It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was being so well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience and will definitely be booking with Annie again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

5 stars! Tracie and her daughter live near me and graciously offered to pick my dog up from our house and drop him off at the end of the boarding. I asked for her help because I was hosting a toddler birthday party and needed my dog out of the house since he steals food. She handled my hyper Vizsla so kindly and her excellent communication and offer to pick up and deliver my dog really preserved my time to enjoy the party. I’d definitely schedule with her again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Upper Arlington on Rover is $33.3 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 637 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Upper Arlington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Upper Arlington commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 637 sitters in Upper Arlington, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
