“It was great having Kirra do drop-in visits for my two cats while I was out of town. When she came to meet them she had a very calm approach, allowing the cats time to interact with her on their terms. I was very pleased with her care for the cats and hope to book her for my next trip. Many thanks!”

“Emma did a great job with my gentle giant I have a German shepherd he is big and hyper sometimes but they had the best time she was so attentive and made sure Bruno had everything he needs and gave me plenty of updates I’d definitely let her watch him again and recommend her to other! Thanks again Emma you are the best!”

“Meagan is amazing! She really makes sure you can leave your pets feeling like she will handle it. Plus I got home from a friday night shift & she had tidied up my living room area where we all hangout. She truly is the best & she cares for your animals as if they’re her own. I would leave more than 5 stars if I could! Such a great experience every time with her.”

“Gabrielle was amazing! We were out of the country and our pet sitter had to leave early on our last day as we were traveling back home. We worked everything out with Gabrielle through the app. She showed up when we needed her to, and she did everything we needed so we didn’t worry about our babies as we were traveling home. I will definitely use her again, and I would recommend her without hesitation. And our babies seemed to love her!”
“Karlie did a wonderful job checking in on my kitties making sure they had fresh litter, food and water. She followed directions and communicated with me so that the visit went smooth. She also helped me out by stopping by on a whim. I will continue to use her services.”

About: With over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, I have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies to senior cats, I provide attentive, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and well-loved. My commitment is to treat each animal with the same respect and dedication I would give my own. I’m currently working part tome while also attending school but can provide frequent check ins for your pets while also provide house sitting on weekends if needed. I provide dependable in-home pet care, ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away.
“Leighanne is amazing and I highly recommend her for any of your pets needs. She’s friendly, warm and my dogs were immediately obsessed with her. She took amazing care of my babies and kept me updated during every visit. We will definitely be booking with Leighanne anytime we need a pet sitter!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life and absolutely love them! I worked at a doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, and I also have two dogs of my own. My first dog was reactive, so I understand how to handle situations where a dog may be nervous or reactive around other dogs or while on walks. I love animals and will make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away! During the summer, I have a flexible schedule and can work around your pet's needs. Until the end of June, I have practice from 7–9 AM, but I'm free the rest of the day. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or just some extra attention, I'll make sure they are well cared for and keep you updated while you're away. I always try to keep pets comfortable and stick to their normal routine as much as possible. Whether we're out on a walk, playing, or just hanging out at home, I'll make sure your pet is safe, happy, and getting the attention they need.

“I've only used Paula once so far, but she was wonderful. Booked her for 7 days, and she was always on time or early. My dog, Sirius, can be a pain with new people and took him a bit to warm up. She took him on a walk, and he was hooked. I will definitely use again if she is available.”

About: After taking a long hiatus, I’m excited to offer dog services again! 🐾 My schedule varies weekly, so my availability varies week to week — but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need care on specific days. I’m happy to see if we can make it work. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find someone you truly trust with your furry family member. I had the privilege of loving and caring for my golden retriever mix for 16 wonderful years, and she taught me just how special that bond is. Providing dependable, loving care is my way of paying that love forward to other dogs and their families. A little about me: - 16 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog - Comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, and special needs dogs - Experienced administering oral medications - Active and enjoy neighborhood walks and local trails - Attentive, patient, and committed to making your dog my top priority Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first. They’ll receive plenty of love, attention, and exercise while in my care. Meet-and-greets are required and held in a public location to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable — especially your pup! Please feel free to message me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I only except to host dogs on my days off so will be available for them 24/7 during their stay. Therefore they will get walks and plenty of opportunity for snuggles, activity, and let out times. Your dog becomes a part of our family and is welcome to roam the place. We do not have any rules against animals on furniture as long as that is your rule too. Our goal is provide a fun, loving, comforting, and safe home away from home.

“Shanna was absolutely great with our cat while we were away. She has excellent communication and always made us feel comfortable during drop-in visits by sending plenty of pictures and updates daily. We highly recommend Shanna and would definitely request her to pet sit again in the future.”

“Janie is so sweet and amazing! She watched both our dogs last minute while we went on an 11 day trip. She was very responsive and let us know any updates that we needed with plenty of pictures! Highly recommend”

About: I’ve had experience watching dogs for my entire life. I know how to give medicine, including injections, to dogs and cats. I am also certified in first aid and have completed a “Stop the Bleed” course. I’m available most days with a few days notice. I am able to come over and walk your dogs or just spend time with your pets. I can easily come to you and do whatever is needed. Walks, feedings, etc. I am very attentive and love to play with your pets.
About: I've grown up surrounded by animals my entire life, and that hands-on experience is what truly sets me apart. I was raised with three cats (2 indoor, 1 outdoor), caring for them from kittenhood all the way through end-of-life care, including demanding daily routines and administering medication. I also have two dogs of my own: a Mini Australian Shepherd I raised from a puppy and personally trained. He’s so smart he keeps me on my toes, which means I know exactly how to handle high-energy, high-drive breeds and the escape artists of the dog world. The other is a large pitty mix we adopted at age two who came to us with leash pulling, reactivity, excessive barking, and rough play habits, all of which I've worked through and successfully managed. I know how to confidently handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Beyond cats and dogs, I've owned two guinea pigs, a hamster, and fish, so I understand the specific and often overlooked needs of small pets too. I've also assisted my sister in fostering cats, many of whom were shy, post-surgical, or required medication and special feeding instructions, so I'm completely comfortable with pets that need a little extra patience and TLC. Most recently, I pet sat a kitten over spring break 2026, and I'm always happy to sit for other pet owners' animals as well. As a sophomore in Alpha Chi Omega, I bring the same reliability, respect, and communication to pet sitting that I bring to everything I do. I treat every pet as if they were my own, follow your routines to the letter, and love keeping owners in the loop with regular updates, photos, and videos, as often as you'd like. If you're looking for someone experienced, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about animals, I'm your person! I currently only have one exam left, so my schedule is essentially wide open! I'm in Blacksburg and available May 9–12 and May 16–22, with virtually nothing on my plate during those windows. Whether you need someone for a full house sit, multiple check-ins throughout the day, early morning visits, or late night drop-ins, I can make it work. Flexibility is my strong suit right now, so don't hesitate to reach out no matter the timing or frequency! I'm happy to care for pets both in my home and in yours! For in-home sitting and visits at your place, I'm completely comfortable following whatever routine, rules, and setup you have in place, your home, your way. If you'd like your pet to stay with me, I welcome that too! Just note that I live in an apartment, so I don't have a fenced-in yard, but my complex has a dog park and is surrounded by beautiful neighborhood nature trails that are perfect for walks and exploring. I'd also ask that you send everything your pet needs along with them (crate, food/water bowls, bed, toys, leash, etc.) so they have the comfort of their own familiar belongings, which is honestly better for them anyway!

About: Mike's first job was caring for his neighbors' pets. Mike has had pets since he was 10, and travelled around the world with his dogs and cats during his military career and regional sales role. Roscoe, Higgins, and Freyja are living the dream in the Pacific Northwest with frequent road (work) trips and cross-country visits to the family in Indiana and Massachusetts. Let me know if we can help you with your fur babies. Mike works from home and is an early riser. While the coffee is brewing, all the animals are waking up with bathroom breaks and breakfast. Mike walks Roscoe after breakfast and dinner. Since Roscoe is a senior, we frequently split the two meals into snacks and shorter walks. When the cats are interested, they climb into the backpacks and go see the world with us. I pay attention to the animals' behavior and routines. Consistency in feeding and bathroom breaks has made my pets very comfortable with my work and social routines. I have the flexibility to meet your routines and maintain the consistency you expect with your family while away from home. I recognize when it's time to stop playing, reduce the mileage, or go to the vet.
“Highly recommend! At the meet and greet she was so easy to talk to and our dog Luna loved her! While we were away I didnt worry if callie and luna were taken care of, she sent pictures of them getting all the love and attention. I think our house was cleaner than when we left too, 10/10 will be using every time we go out of town!”

Woodhouse Corner pet parents share their Rover experiences
Kirra has been walking my dogs now since I think December ish. She has been nothing but wonderful. To my pups and I appreciate that so much. She’s just a great person overall all. I forgot to turn my sprinkler system off in the morning and I called her while she was at my house and she turned it off for me no problem. Thank you again Kirra!! And being sweet to my pups.

ashley went above and beyond! i could tell our dog apollo enjoyed having her company while we were out of town. i informed her we had a cat in the house and that he didn’t need anything while we were gone (he has an automatic feeder) but she went ahead and ask if she could do anything for him without hesitation. i can tell she truly cares for the animals she’s caring for. my husband and i will without a doubt rebook with ashley in the future!
