About: Hi, my name is Marley, I am currently home in CT from studying my undergraduate degree at Oregon State University where I am about to start my final year come the Fall. Since I was 10 years old, I have volunteered at local dog and cat shelters whenever I have a couple open hours within the day: CPR (Companion Pet Rescue, Southbury CT), Heartland Humane Society (Corvallis OR), and Safe Haven Humane Society (Tangent OR). I have been dog sitting and cat sitting for local families for over 5 years just to help out and absolutely love it. I am always responsible of a pet’s health and prioritize them always. I currently have a part-time job where I do not work longer than 3-4 hours in a day (I only work about 2 days a week), so I have a wide open schedule and will prioritize visiting, hanging out, and caring for your animal before anything else :) I think that one of the most important jobs as a pet sitter is making sure nothing is rushed, which is why I spend as much time as needed with the animals I watch. I think it is crucial to make sure the animals are happy and healthy both when I arrive and when I leave. I love to take dogs on long walks, play with them outside, and give them the care they need (from feeding to outside time). As for cats, I think they deserve the same amount of attention and I will never pass up the opportunity to give a cat some pets!

About: I'm strong enough to where no matter the size of the dog, I can move them in and out of cars, houses, bath tubs, dog beds, anywhere they need to go without hurting them. Moreover, I've seen the full breadth of a dog's life between the 2 who I've owned from puppyhood to old age. I know the carrot and the stick that young dogs need to grow up well-adjusted, and I know the special needs that elderly dogs often have. Any lesson I've learned from rearing a dog, I made a point to never forget it. I'm currently between jobs and desire to exercise more, so I've got plenty of time and motivation to play with your dogs. Be it walkies, fetch, tug-of-war, or just running around, I'm your Huckleberry (hound?). My dogs keep within an invisible fence and take the older one out on a leash whenever he needs to slow down in his old age. They don't play much any more, but even back when they did, I was the undefeated tug-of-war champion of this and any other house. Any discipline is issued verbally, with the only physical discipline being holding their mouth closed while I scold them. Thankfully, they're well-trained and well-mannered enough to where I don't need to scold them often. They're good dogs, unless you're a snapping turtle.

About: I have had pets; mainly dogs my whole life. It’s so important to give them attention, play with them and to walk them on a consistent basis for them to be happy. I have done this for numerous people over the past 5 years I currently am looking to care for dogs and to walk dogs to supplement my income. ABOUT ME: I'm an experienced caregiver whose strength is listening to your pet and their owner. I started dog walking and pet sitting to cope with the grief of losing my two senior dogs and it couldn't be going better. (Shout out to all the pets who supported me during that time!) If your dog, cat, fish, hamster or unicorn is aging, anxious, dramatic, grouchy, dribbly, clingy or just a bit of a nosepicker, I love them already. If they're well-behaved, that's okay too! Please be clear about your pet's rules, otherwise we'll be watching movies and eating Dorito's while you're on vacation. I will love your pet like family and treat them like a friend while making them feel safe, secure and comfortable. Reservations do not overlap. Whether it's walking or boarding, your pets will be my one and only focus. I'll be home with them most of the day and night. When/if I do have to leave them alone, it will be briefly and not before they have really settled in, which usually takes a night. I live alone in a 2 BR condo on the second floor of a fourplex in Heritage Village with fenced balcony. (I'm not of retirement age, but while caregiving for my Mom, I built strong connections with other residents. I live near sidewalked areas or can drive to dog-friendly (but not off leash) parks. The condo is on the second floor, so there are a couple steps in the the foyer and a straight flight of carpeted stairs. Crates are welcome if part of your dog's regular routine, but are not required. I can provide litter box and litter unless your cat insists on their own.

I was a technician in day practices and ultimately ended up in specialty emergency referral hospitals. I worked as an ICU nurse, in triage, surgery, internal medicine, and across other various departments Ultimately landing in management. I have taken care of the sickest of patients and been apart of the most severe emergencies. I am capable of CPR, knowing what to do and where to go in case of an emergency and I can help with any medical management needs your pet may have such as medication administration, injections etc. I can handle most pets and some farm animals. I’m looking to work for myself and create some more freedom in my life. My oldest son is going to college this year and I will have my two middle school aged boys at home. I want to have the flexibility to be around. Right now I am open and flexible. I strive to to just become your pet’s friend, I want them to love me and feel comfortable with me… I have private liability insurance and will follow whatever instructions are asked of me.

About: I have had cats since I was a baby and had chow chow dogs since I was 13 years old. I also worked at a kennel off and on for 12.5 years. I learned a little training but not a lot. I have worked with all different breeds of dogs. I love snuggling with cats as I grew up with having them in my household. I currently work full time however, full time is 30 hours for me so it allows me to have 3 to 4 days off towards the end of the week depending on the week. We have a large back yard with a dog run and as far as my cat. He is an indoor cat and gets spoiled indoors.

About: I have grown up with dogs, mainly big dogs, but I have also cared for small dogs as well. My first dog I’ve ever had quite literally taught me how to walk.
