“Jackie took great care of my pup while we were away for the weekend - great communications, videos and pics that kept me informed and he clearly had a good time hanging with her and her sweet dogs!”

“Winston had another wonderful stay with Marlene for 5 overnights. Marlene's communication is excellent and we are so thankful to how attentive she is to our Winston while he is in her care. Marlene provides daily updates and pictures of Winston and it means the world to us!”

“I went on my trip with a peace of mind knowing that my baby is safe. She kept me updated on what he was doing and sent me pictures and videos. Teddy looked very happy and he had so much fun. My dog have anxiety problem. She did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable and happy. Thank you very much for keeping my little baby safe and happy”

“Katie was great to work with and my dog came home tired and happy. Communication was easy and I received lots of photos. She lives near a nice park which my dog had a blast exploring. I would definitely book again with her!”
“It was my first time booking with Melodie. She was wonderful and professional. She sent pictures throughout the boarding period to let me know my dog was well taken care of.”

“Gurdeep, is a true gem. Her and her family has been the first and so far the only other family outside of mine who has watched my dog Rocky. She communicates effectively and is super accommodating. I truly do trust and appreciate her; and I would definitely recommend her to other pet owners.”

“Maureen and her family are naturals! They definitely had a way with dogs. Our puppy Kyoto immediately took to them and their lovely and spacious home. Maureen sent many updates and videos to show that Kyoto was being cared for and was happy in his new environment. Maureen even enabled him to socialize with another puppy successfully. I am so grateful to have found a safe and happy home away from home for Kyoto. Thank you, Maureen and family! Until next time!”

“We had the pleasure of having Jackie dog sit for us while we were away on a family vacation, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the beginning, she was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, always quick to reply and very reliable. Throughout our trip, Jackie sent us daily updates and photos, which gave us such peace of mind and kept us connected with our pup. It was clear from the pictures and messages that he was happy, well cared for, and in great hands. Jackie, and her family, truly went above and beyond, and we felt completely confident leaving our dog in her care. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive pet sitter!”

“My anxious pup with a complicated medication routine was well cared for. He settled in quickly and his routine was followed as requested. Jaimie kept in good communication throughout his stay. Will happily book again!”

“Mary has took a great care of my cat and dog while I was away for many weeks. They’ve been happy and I could also feel relieved knowing my babies are in good hands! Thank you Mary!”

“Vernisha, did an excellent job from the beginning of our communication until the moment we picked him up. She kept us informed throughout our getaway and sent photos and videos, including updates from the park when she took our dog for a walk. We really loved the way she cared for him and kept us updated on his well-being. We highly recommend her!”

“We felt so comfortable boarding our dog with Seureon and Dongkwan! We received tons of photo updates throughout his stay, and they were responsive and flexible whenever communicating through logistics. Our dog is very hyper, but he seemed nice and worn out from playing when we picked him up. We will be boarding our dog here again!”

“I needed a place for our little dog to stay for the long weekend. And I wanted to make sure all his training rules stayed in place. We are training him from a rehoming situation so it is an important transition period. Margarita and Ramon have a lot of experience with boarding and fostering. I did not have to go into long explanations about what was needed. They understood exactly what our plan was and kept up the plan all weekend without issues. I received daily video updates. When I picked up our little buddy he was relaxed and happy. He was comfortable with Margarita so I know he has been at ease in the house. Margarita had another small dog boarding on tge weekend which was an appropriate match for walks. They also have a low key larger dog whom I felt was calming for the house atmosphere. Overall I feel confident to return my dog for another stay without any concerns.”

About: I love animals and have experience working with and sitting for a wide range of them, including dogs, cats, and small or exotic animals. I myself have owned over twenty parrots (currently have two in the aviary!) and have extensive experience with fishkeeping — I have four cycled, walstad fish and shrimp tanks! I can walk your dog, clean your cat’s litter box, and even do water changes for your fish if needed! Anything to make sure your little guys are well cared for! I’m a graduate student who will be free over the summer, so my schedule is flexible until late August. I can make myself and my home available as needed. I live in a townhome that features a large, lush, and open neighborhood to walk your dogs in. My home has two floors; the first floor is where your pet will stay. When your pet is in my home, they are treated like members of my family. They will be fed, walked, and enriched on your schedule, and will be allowed to sit on the couch and even sleep in my bed at nights if comfortable. I take great care to ensure that your pet’s stay is comfortable and fun-filled. In my home, I currently have two budgies in a large cage and two betta fish, each in 5-10 gallon tanks. The parrots are allowed to free fly for most of the day, but they will be put away or kept caged when your pets are being boarded. When I am in your home, I cultivate the utmost respect. I try not to disturb or move anything that’s not necessary. I’ll make use of only what’s given to me with regards to caring for your pet, and leave everything else exactly how I found it.
“Jennifer was wonderful! I wouldn't definitely use her service again. She had great communication, sending lots of videos and pictures. I felt at ease while I was away”

About: With experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages, I tailor my approach to each pet’s unique needs—whether that’s energetic play, calm companionship, or following a specific routine. I make space in my life for animal care, not just fit it in, and I always take time to learn about a pet’s favorite activities, schedule, and temperament to ensure they feel safe, understood, and loved. I work a steady 9–5 schedule on weekdays with weekends completely free, which allows me to build reliable, consistent pet care into my daily routine. Mornings and evenings are dedicated to caring for animals—whether that’s feeding, walking, administering medication, or just spending quality time. On weekends, I’m fully available for extended visits, drop-ins, or overnight care. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in—it’s something I intentionally make space for in my life. Whether your pet needs a calm companion, detailed attention, or a familiar routine while you’re away, I’m here to provide dependable and loving care every time. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or welcoming them into mine, their comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. In Your Home: I understand how important it is for pets to stay in their familiar environment. When caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with the utmost respect—leaving everything exactly as I found it, or even better. I follow your instructions closely, maintain your pet’s routine, and always make sure they’re calm, comfortable, and cared for like part of my own family. In My Home: I live in a single-level home with a large, fully fenced-in yard—perfect for safe outdoor time and play. Inside, we have two spacious bedrooms and a relaxed, open layout. Pets have unrestricted access throughout the home so they can settle in, explore, and feel completely at ease. I aim to make it a true home-away-from-home experience where your pet feels loved and secure at all times.
“Another excellent stay with Maisha. Bentley always has a great experience and enjoys playing and making new friends. She provides excellent care and keeps me consistently updated with photos, which I truly appreciate. I also value the way she treats Bentley with the same care and attention as her own. Thank you again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodbridge
I couldn’t be happier with our dog sitter! From the moment I met her and her husband, I knew I could trust them. I’m extremely picky about who I leave Princess with—she’s my baby! But they went above and beyond. I got daily photos, videos, and even thoughtful little gifts when I picked her up. Princess was so loved and cared for—it was clear from their experience (she was a vet in Colombia!) and their passion. I’m beyond satisfied and relieved to have found someone I trust in New York. If you’re looking for a dog sitter, look no further. I’m so grateful for them, and Princess had the best time!

Yanina, and her family treated her like she was already part of their family. They were especially understanding when we had to drop our dog off later than our initial time. She sent us pics during our vacation and updated us. I was relieved that they had a fenced in yard because dalmations love to run. We picked up our fur baby in great shape. Thanks to Yanina and her family we will definitely rebook in future.

Kexin came through during holiday period when no other sitter was available. She not only was available but she offered a very reasonable rate. She took good care of my cats also. She showcased professionalism throughout the stay keeping us posted. She genuinely cares for pets. She is definitely someone I would book with.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Shandy! My puppy stayed for 3 nights, and I was so impressed with the care, love, and attention given. From the start, communication was excellent, and I felt completely at ease leaving my pup in such capable hands. She went above and beyond to make sure my puppy was comfortable, safe, and happy. I received updates, videos and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When she dropped off my puppy, I could tell she had been well cared for and loved—happy, relaxed, and even better with her routines. It’s clear that Shandy truly has a passion and talent for caring for dogs. I’m so grateful to have found such a trustworthy and reliable boarder, and I will absolutely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional care for their furry family member!

Overall, had a good experience with Peter! Aside from a minor communication issue, Peter was a good doggie sitter for Yumi. He appeared to follow instructions regarding feeding/walking and kept me updated throughout Yumi’s stay. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times and Yumi seemed to enjoy her stay. Would book with Peter again!

Thank you so much Marissa for making Smores feel At home the best way you could , tho his anxiety took over his personality you were so patient with him that he was a bit better towards the end of his stay with you . A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
