“It’s our first time with this application and Bhavani was kind enough to guide me through the process … Romeo first time with his sitter was awesome 🫶🥰 he was happy and exited from the moment he went inside her house and made a new friend and happy to leave when the care was over. Bhavani was very informative, detailed , and was almost in communication with me through the day with videos and pictures updates … very nice and spacious backyard for Romeo to run around 😊 followed instructions with food and potty accordingly.. I will definitely choose her over and over again trusting her with our family dog … thank you Bhavani 🫶 for making Romeo stay an awesome and trusted stay.”

“What a great experience. We left our Goldendoodle puppy, Woody, for daycare while we attended a Yankees game. The attention, kindness, and love shown our baby was top-notch. Courtney's family also has a handsome Goldendoodle, so she was well aware of the breed and how to care for them. Woody was super happy when we picked him up. We will definitely recommend her services and will be using her again.”

About: The second I look at a dog or a cat, I feel my motherly instincts kick in!! I’m currently a per diem nurse and mental health therapist—giving me plenty of time to be home and love my babies. I noticed lot of pet owners via county pages on fb and I just want to be an extra help to my area while making annoying baby noises gawking at the cuteness of any fur baby. I do live with my morkie, Cinnabon who’s a sassy baby boy. And my partner has his cats, Cheesecake and Chandler Bing who are very friendly towards everyone. All my pets are healthy and on anti flea/tic medications! I work per diem as a nurse meaning my shifts are sparse and short- so I’m home 90% of the time. I love spending my free time with both cats and dogs and would love to meet yours! I have a small fenced yard that is regularly mowed and cleaned. I always replenish the water periodically. I keep my home tidy since I’m used to being around many animals at once. For baths, I either use my tub or the laundry sink basin for my own dog. As for cats, I do have the mesh bath bag that prevents them from clawing. I’m very gentle with my own pets!

About: I am a very playful and caring person. I have had pets almost all my life, since I was 3 years old. My schedule is flexible. I usually go to the gym, run a few errands, and spend time with the pets I’m taking care of ❤️ I care for the client’s pets in their home or my home by offering they time to play outside or cuddle with them depending on their personality.

“As usual Levi had a great time with Jessica. He was tired and ready for bed when we came home which was perfect since it was late. Jessica was very accommodating to us running behind schedule due to traffic.”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up, my childhood home was always full of love (and paws) with more than three dogs at a time. Today, I’m the go-to pet sitter for all my friends whenever they need someone to care for their dogs, cats, or even rabbits. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets and take them on short and long walks as needed. I don’t have any pets myself and I only allow one pet at a time to make sure your pet has my full attention.

What a great experience. We left our Goldendoodle puppy, Woody, for daycare while we attended a Yankees game. The attention, kindness, and love shown our baby was top-notch. Dhruvit has been very accommodating and catered all Zorro’s needs. We travelled all the way from Michigan and was looking for someone reliable and it worked really great for us at the last minute. Would definitely recommend for people in and around NJ. Would love to keep Zorro for another time.
Apollo had a great time with Natalia and Ilian. He had a few furry friends joining his stay and you can tell that he got lots of love and play time. Felt like I dropped him off at school. Came back with a pic and colored picture from his little human friend😍. The pup was tired the next day. P.S. we have a language barrier but I think it's amazing regardless of that barrier, we are still able to communicate the care for Apollo and there's no issue on the love they showed him.

Rupali did an excellent job of watching our dogs for doggy day care. She sent several photos and videos. She has a large fenced in yard and both my dogs loved playing there with her dog. My one dog that does not easily take to new people took to rupali within a few minutes - as evidenced by offering her belly for belly rubs.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Woodbridge commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
