“Bonnie was extremely caring for my Bruno Mars. He was happy and tired when he got home which was great. I an very thankful she was able to take him on short notice. I cant thank her enough”

“Gurdeep was able to put all my fears at rest. This was the first time we boarded Sasha and I can’t say enough about how happy she was. The house was clean and welcoming. I will definitely bring Sasha again.”

“Today was Tucker’s first visit to Jacqueline. He said he had a great time and can’t wait to go back!! Very easy to see Jacqueline really cares about the dogs and takes good care of them.”

“A returned customer. Yanina is very patient and accommodating. She made sure our puppy’s specific needs were cared for and was very understanding when we were late for pickup.”

“I am very happy I found Jose. He took my babies in at the last minute and was great at keeping in contact with me and sending pics and videos. If I ever travel back here with my pups again he will be my go to.”

“Joy had very good time with Sudhesh and his family. He regularly sent us pictures and updates. She felt at home and playeda lot with their dog. I recommend him and will definitely contact them again for future dog sitting/boarding.”

“Katie did a great job with our senior dog and really helped us out in a pinch. Out of all of the sitters that I contacted who advertise themselves as accepting same day, last minute appointments, she was the only one who responded in a timely manner and had availability to keep our old lady for a few hours. She spoiled our big baby, was very communicative during the brief time that they spent together, was very friendly and welcoming and her rates are fair. I’d definitely utilize her services again if we’re ever back in the area and in need of a pet sitter.”

“This was our first time using a dog sitter and we chose Jessica based on her good reviews. She def lived up to her reputation. She is so sweet and friendly. She asked all the right questions to prepare for my pups visit. Baxter loved her. He came home exhausted. Her knowledge of dogs is awesome. She gave me tips and advice on how to continue training my pup. I received pictures through out his stay.”

About: The second I look at a dog or a cat, I feel my motherly instincts kick in!! I’m currently a per diem nurse and mental health therapist—giving me plenty of time to be home and love my babies. I noticed lot of pet owners via county pages on fb and I just want to be an extra help to my area while making annoying baby noises gawking at the cuteness of any fur baby. I do live with my morkie, Cinnabon who’s a sassy baby boy. And my partner has his cats, Cheesecake and Chandler Bing who are very friendly towards everyone. All my pets are healthy and on anti flea/tic medications! I work per diem as a nurse meaning my shifts are sparse and short- so I’m home 90% of the time. I love spending my free time with both cats and dogs and would love to meet yours! I have a small fenced yard that is regularly mowed and cleaned. I always replenish the water periodically. I keep my home tidy since I’m used to being around many animals at once. For baths, I either use my tub or the laundry sink basin for my own dog. As for cats, I do have the mesh bath bag that prevents them from clawing. I’m very gentle with my own pets!
About: I have always been a passionate animal lover and understand that pets are cherished members of the family. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and personalities, providing them with the love, attention, and patience they deserve. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, feeding, administering simple medications, or simply providing companionship, I ensure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I pay close attention to each pet's routine and individual needs and keep owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. My goal is to create a stress-free, loving environment where every pet receives personalized care and plenty of affection, just as if they were my own. I am currently working from home and available over the weekend. We are a family of four, so we can always have someone at home in case I have to step out. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervised play, fresh water, and a cozy place to rest. I make sure they get regular exercise and lots of affection while maintaining a calm, stress-free environment.
“Natalia and Ilian were terrific. They took Maisie on a long walk, gave updates, and made us feel assured that our dog was taken care of. Maisie was really tired when she got home, which was great! I would definitely recommend Natalia and Ilian to anyone looking for a Rover employee!!”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up, my childhood home was always full of love (and paws) with more than three dogs at a time. Today, I’m the go-to pet sitter for all my friends whenever they need someone to care for their dogs, cats, or even rabbits. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets and take them on short and long walks as needed. I don’t have any pets myself and I only allow one pet at a time to make sure your pet has my full attention.
About: turning every walk into a tail-wagging adventure and every stay into a pup’s dream vacation. my devotion to their needs will never stop. I enjoy taking care of your Pup! I’m your dog’s new best friend—reliable, energetic, and 100% devoted to their happiness. Available 7 days a week, rain or shine!” Trusted and reliable everytime. Your pup’s safety is my #1 priority. “Srilatha took good care of Benji. She would keep me updated on what and how my dog is doing. She is very prompt in responding back as well. I highly recommend her and will use her services again!”

“From the meet and greet to the stay next day, Kajal was very warm, friendly and caring towards Romeo. She made us very comfortable to leave our little one with her. Kajal made sure she sent us pictures and videos and kept us upto date with him. I know Romeo was in good and trusted hands and would definitely leave Romeo with her in the future.”

About: I have taken care of dogs of many kinds. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and take care of their dogs. I recently retired so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am flexible and available to walk or board your furry friend. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your or my dogs and/or create separate space at the house.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Iselin
Jinjie was absolutely amazing with Mika! She was so kind and careful with her, and it really showed. Mika always seemed genuinely happy coming home from her stays, which says everything. She kept me updated with tons of adorable pictures and videos throughout, which I loved. Beyond that, she just seems like an absolutely great person, I felt completely at ease knowing Mika was in such caring hands. Can't recommend her enough! And will definitely book her again!!

Dhruvit has been very accommodating and catered all Zorro’s needs. We travelled all the way from Michigan and was looking for someone reliable and it worked really great for us at the last minute. Would definitely recommend for people in and around NJ. Would love to keep Zorro for another time.
We left Cody for a few hours of daycare and had such a positive experience. The sitter had great communication before and during the stay, and even sent a video update which I really appreciated. It’s always reassuring to see your pup having fun! Cody came home happy and completely worn out — the best combo. Highly recommend!

Rupali did an excellent job of watching our dogs for doggy day care. She sent several photos and videos. She has a large fenced in yard and both my dogs loved playing there with her dog. My one dog that does not easily take to new people took to rupali within a few minutes - as evidenced by offering her belly for belly rubs.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
