About: I've raised my dog, Pax, from 3 months old to now 4 years old, using training methods from Zak George's books and videos. This approach focuses on patience and building strong communication with dogs. Thanks to this training, Pax is friendly, well-behaved, and loves playing with other dogs. As I work from home, I can give your pup plenty of attention and time outside. I’m excited to offer the same care and positive training techniques to your furry friend! I work from home as I have a dog to care for. I live in an apartment complex with a fenced dog park on the property. I already walk with my own dog every few hours, yours would join us and be kept entertained I have a well trained German Shepard / Husky mix. I do best with high energy dogs as I am personally quite active. Know that my home is a loving, patient environment with plenty of outlets for high energy dogs.
“Jalisa was great and treated our dog like one of her own. She was very responsive, sent lots of pictures, and was flexible with changes to the pick-up/drop time. About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover who understands that your pets aren't just animals—they are family. I know how important it is to have absolute peace of mind when you are away from home, which is why I focus on providing a structured, safe, and loving environment for every dog I care for. Pet care is a true family affair in our household! Because I partner directly with my mother, we are able to offer round-the-clock, highly flexible care that fits seamlessly into any pet's routine. While I manage a structured schedule during the day, my mother has excellent daytime availability to ensure pets are never left lonely, missed a potty break, or skipped a feeding. I am fully available every evening and all weekend long. This tag-team approach means your furry family member gets the absolute best of both worlds: constant companionship and supervision during the day, and dedicated exercise, walks, and playtime in the evenings and weekends. Someone is almost always home, making our schedule incredibly reliable! I have a fenced backyard and an in ground pool to keep your pups cool during the summer. I also have my own 3 dogs who are all friendly and welcoming.

“We left our dog Whiskey with Jessica for a five day vacation stay. Jessica was outstanding! She made us feel so comfortable leaving him with her. She sent pictures everyday and he has a bud for life in butters. Jessica gave whiskey bones and play toys throughout the stay and treated him like he was her very own. We will leave him again and again with Jessica from now on because we trust her and appreciate her tremendously! Thank you so much Jessica!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Keasbey
I couldn’t be happier with our dog sitter! From the moment I met her and her husband, I knew I could trust them. I’m extremely picky about who I leave Princess with—she’s my baby! But they went above and beyond. I got daily photos, videos, and even thoughtful little gifts when I picked her up. Princess was so loved and cared for—it was clear from their experience (she was a vet in Colombia!) and their passion. I’m beyond satisfied and relieved to have found someone I trust in New York. If you’re looking for a dog sitter, look no further. I’m so grateful for them, and Princess had the best time!

Kexin came through during holiday period when no other sitter was available. She not only was available but she offered a very reasonable rate. She took good care of my cats also. She showcased professionalism throughout the stay keeping us posted. She genuinely cares for pets. She is definitely someone I would book with.
Overall, had a good experience with Peter! Aside from a minor communication issue, Peter was a good doggie sitter for Yumi. He appeared to follow instructions regarding feeding/walking and kept me updated throughout Yumi’s stay. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times and Yumi seemed to enjoy her stay. Would book with Peter again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
