About: Eight years ago my husband and I adopted our first dog, Foxy Cleo. At a year and a half old, she had been returned twice. It was our mission to show her love and affirmation - we knew we would be her final, true home. Unfortunately, she recently lost her battle to cancer which seemed to have happened overnight. We loved her so much, and she showed me the reward of caring for and loving her in return with that sweet face and wag of a tail. I'm so happy to have been her dad. Foxy was a healthy, active, happy dog - we'd play all the time, go on hikes, and runs at Curtis Park. I'm more than happy to help with your dog (or cat) when life gets in the way. I work from home, so I'm able to be very attentive to your loved one. I have a relatively flexible schedule and can quite often adapt as needed. We have a quarter of an acre yard that's fenced in for them to play in. When my dog was alive, we would play outside quite frequently. I also live close to Curtis Park, and she and I would go on long walks there a couple of times a week.

17. Sienna C.

About: I am currently studying animal science and I hope to apply to vet school. Working with animals and people has always been my passion. I worked at an animal shelter for 2 years. I worked with dogs inside the kennels, out in the play yard, taken them on walks, made peanut butter Kongs for them, enforced positive behaviors. I also did a yolo county animal behavior internship which included supervising puppy play, learned about dog behavior, trained and enforced positive behaviors, explaining the process of adoption to potential adopters. I have also worked as a vet assistant for 4 years. I worked with cats and dogs. My duties included restraining animals, vaccinating, monitoring, taking dogs to potty brakes, cleaning kennels, going over procedure and estimates with owners, etc. I am currently working a part time job and going to school but I can work around my schedule to take care of your pet. I take this job very seriously because I know how important my animals mean to me. I take into account all of the animals & owner's needs in order to make them feel safe and trusted.
19. Breonna F.
“Breonna is extremely caring and knowledgeable when it comes to animals. She stayed at my apartment and watched my indoor cat for 2 weeks while I was away on a trip across the country and I felt so relieved knowing that my cat was in amazing hands. Breonna sent regular updates and pictures of my girl throughout the trip and kept me informed. It was hot while I was away and Breonna noticed my cat was not getting enough hydration, so she was kind enough to stop by the store to get wet food to keep my girl healthy and hydrated. Breonna has such a nurturing and loving nature towards animals but she is also able to uphold the rules we set in place for our cat, such as not chewing plants and not walking across our computer work station. She also kept her on track with her feeding schedule and diet. If you are looking for a friendly, responsible, and knowledgeable person to care for your pet, Breonna is more than capable! I would leave my pet with her again in a heartbeat.”

About: I have two adopted senior dogs. Edward came to me with a lot of health issues and has made a great recovery, even after his recent diagnosis of congestive heart failure. Getting him an allergy panel test did wonders for his quality of life. Sophie was with an older lady who didn't socialize her so we have been working with her the last couple years to be accepting of other animals and this Rover experience has done wonders. We have trained them on a button or too. "Treat" is never forgotten. Lol and we are constantly watching videos and learning how to work with different dog behaviors and its been a fun experience. I usually just move through my normal pet routine of getting up, letting the dogs go out while I prepare food. Lounge and digest for a little bit and head for a walk. And so on. I have a fenced in yard with dog door access in and out of the house. I have 2 small dogs under 20 lbs that like to lounge around and relax and eat treats.
