“Shang was amazing with my dogs. She was always on time and communicated when she arrived at my house. One of my dogs requires more time to get comfortable with and Shang was very patient with him. She understood their own comfortability levels which allowed them to trust her. I can tell that the dogs are fond of her from the smiles in the photos she sends me! Shang is reliable, caring and I would recommend her to anyone looking for help with the pups!”

“Natalie is so kind, patient, and reliable. My dog Sage is a rescue dog and needs a very calm, gentle, and consistent approach. She’s never hesitated to make my dog feel comfortable, I will continue to book with Natalie whenever I need her to help me out with Sage! She’s great.”

About: I have always had a passion for animals, and I even have a few pets of my own! I have 5 cats between my sister and I, and they have the biggest variety of personalities. I took a break from pet care due to moving and job changes throughout the years but I’ve always loved caring for people’s pet babies. I used to work as a Dog Camp Counselor back in my hometown, and that was one of the most rewarding experiences to date. Family, friends, and friends of friends always come to me when they’re in need to pet sitting or caring, and rest assured the care of your loved one is always in the forefront of my mind. My current schedule is very flexible to even the earliest of times, so don’t be afraid to reach out! I live in Fairfield but have no issue driving to neighboring cities. I prefer to go to clients’ homes, and with that I make sure to obtain detailed instruction on how to care for their furry friends
“Always can trust Whitney to check on my dog while I’m away! She has walked and visited my dog a few times and is great at following instructions. My dog is always happy to see her.”

“Maya is a great communicator, super sweet, very punctual and extremely attentive and loving with our Coco. I highly recommend her as a dog walker and for drop in visits as these are the services she has provided for us.”

I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, or staying in your home while you're away, my focus is on making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that being away from your pet can be stressful. That's why I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing they're happy and well cared for. I want you to feel connected and reassured every step of the way. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals whether that's playing fetch with an energetic pup, taking a leisurely walk, offering extra cuddles on the couch, or simply keeping a nervous pet company until they feel comfortable. Building trust with animals is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. My goal is not just to care for your pet's basic needs but to provide companionship, attention, and affection while you're away. I want them to look forward to our time together and feel loved, even when they miss you. Thank you for considering me to care for your pet. “I'm so happy to have found Samantha to walk my dog while I'm at work. She responded to my initial request almost immediately and has been very responsive ever since. I needed someone on short notice and Samantha was super accommodating which was a relief. She was great with my dog at the meet and greet and I know she'll be great with her every time! She's wonderful to work with and I'm looking forward to my dog seeing her on a regular basis.”

“He watched our dog while we were out of town for four days and he was reliable and communicated with us during each visit. He sent photos of our pup on each visit and also fed and filled his water bowl. We will definitely be booking him again in the future. Thank you, Cedric.”

“As first-time Rover users, we chose Alexandra and all we can say is Alexandra is the best! She is extremely prompt & communicative and was eager to help us navigate the app and Rover support when we realized we were being charged holiday fee outside of the holiday period. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she cares for while the owners are away. Thanks Alex!”

“Shelby feels like family. I asked her to stop by so I could introduce her to Lala and walk her through the routine. She was on time, and she made me feel very comfortable. She was at ease with Lala, who is almost blind, and somewhat stand offish. She is definitely, a keeper!”

About: I’ve loved dogs and animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent time around my aunt’s Golden Retriever and was always excited to meet and spend time with animals. In high school, I had my own Chihuahua named Aurora, which gave me experience with daily feeding, care, and companionship. I also fostered a Pit Bull from a local animal shelter during a time when the shelter was overcrowded and needed temporary foster homes. While living in Hawaii, I helped care for my cousin’s Chihuahua, Brownie, as part of my everyday routine. I fed her, cleaned up after her, spent time with her, and took her on walks, beach outings, and car rides. More recently, I’ve spent time caring for a senior rescue Pit Bull, Tyson, who has experienced neglect and multiple owners. My experiences have taught me that every dog deserves patience, kindness, and understanding. I enjoy helping pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while their families are away. I currently have an open schedule for the summer and am available throughout June, July, and most of August. This flexibility allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether your dog needs walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, or companionship, I can provide reliable care that fits your pet’s routine. I also understand that pet care needs can vary, so I do my best to accommodate scheduling requests whenever possible. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I’ve been around dogs of different breeds and personalities, including Chihuahuas, Pit Bulls, and Huskies. Village 12 dog parents share their Rover experiences
Payton has been a really good match for Maddy. She’s consistent, communicative, and clearly puts real effort into the walks. I appreciate that she makes sure Maddy gets good mileage while still being mindful of things like weather and pacing—especially since Maddy tends to go all in. The updates are also really helpful. I feel very comfortable having her take care of Maddy.
