About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and bunnies since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to babysit, walk, and feed their pets. I work full time mostly from home. I only board pets when I’ll be home to care for them. I own my own home, have a dog run, and designated potty area on my deck as well. I provide affectionate and interactive care. My home is pet friendly and my kiddos are very respectful and loving with our visiting furry friends! We have a cat, dog and bunny that all do well with other animals.
About: I have experience pet sitting for 20 years. I am familiar with dogs that require medication and can also administer insulin to non aggressive dogs if needed I work from home full time and can provide daily walks multiple times a day based on your dogs needs, frequent potty breaks, belly rubs, treats, and endless love to your dog. I own a home with a fenced in yard. I have three children between the ages of 8-13. I have yellow lab that’s approximately 2 years old and a 5 year old female Keeshond.
“This was the first time we had left our puppy with someone and we were a little apprehensive, however, Holly was awesome. After talking with her in person we were at ease about leaving Ruger with her. I will use Holly again and I highlighted recommend her.”

“Anthony is the best! Our dog loves to stay with him for daycare and boarding. Anthony provides a great environment, and has an amazing passion for dogs. We have now been taking our dog to Anthony for nearly one year. You can be confident your dog is in great hands, and will come home happy and tired :)”

“Nicholas has been very flexible and accommodating with our weekly day care schedule. Our 6 month old puppy, bruce, also loves hanging out with AJ and the other dogs! Highly Recommend!”

“Brenda was great. My dog is anxious with new people and she made him feel right at home without minutes. She sent me updates and pictures throughout the day that made me feel confident that my dog was in good hands.”

“Stephanie was great! Super friendly and timely. We really appreciated the pick up/drop off option. We can tell our pup had a great time and was well cared for. 100% will be going back the next time we need someone to watch Finn!”

About: I’ve been caring for my family dog, Louie, a Coton de Tulear, since I was 12 years old. Growing up with him taught me so much about responsibility, patience, and the unconditional love dogs bring into our lives. From his playful puppy days to his calmer senior years, I’ve been there for every walk, meal, vet visit, and cuddle. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet — and I treat every dog I care for with the same love, attention, and respect that I give Louie. My schedule is currently wide open, so I'm available whenever you and your pup need me! Whether it's weekdays, weekends, or last-minute bookings, I’m happy to accommodate your needs. Building trust is important — I give each dog space to settle in and earn their comfort through consistency, patience, and lots of positive attention. Whether we’re at home or outside, I create a stress-free environment with gentle care, a calm tone, and plenty of love.
“Sarah was wonderful with our puppy Oakley! She watched him for 3 weeks and he enjoyed every minute at her house playing with other pups. He couldn’t wait to go back the next day. If you’re looking for someone who will take amazing care of your pet you won’t be disappointed with Sarah. Thank you for taking such great care of our puppy!”

About: Growing up both my wife and I have always had pets in our homes. My family and I love animals. I grew up around cats and my wife grew up around dogs and between the two of us we have decades of experience. We currently have a dog and 3 cats living with us. We got our puppy when he was only 4 months old and I am comfortable with the demands of caring for such a young puppy and making sure their needs are met. We also believe in force free training of our pets and our puppy has been through professional training classes (both puppy manners and teenage manners) so we are comfortable providing our knowledge and expertise to your pet! Our cats are very aloof but we separate them when there are new pets in the home. Safety of our pets and yours is very important to us! Our cats have access to their food, water, and litter upstairs and away from new puppy friends so all the animals have a stress free time while your puppy stays with us. We are calm and patient people. We have both grown up with animals and understand that accidents happen. We provide frequent potty breaks during the day, encourage breaks in play time, and plenty of mental stimulation. We love taking your puppy for a walk or throwing a ball around to get out some energy. My wife works a hybrid workweek and we have a 16 year old who loves animals. Your pet will be deeply cared for. We love giving pets and snuggles and loving on your puppy. I have baby gates and a portable crate on hand (for large pups!). I have a fenced in yard and a friendly pup for yours to play with. Our puppy sleeps with us at night and is allowed on our couches but if that is not ok for your puppy we are comfortable following your rules, including crating at night.
About: I love working with dogs, they bring happiness to my life! I have 2 dogs on my own that I walk every day. I pay very close attention to my dogs when I am walking them. I treat them as I would my own children. My house is dog safe because my own fur babies love to get into things they shouldn't, which has improved my techniques as an owner. As a dog loving house, there are treats and food available always. I am a big believer in fresh water daily for my pets. I have been around dogs since I was little, I love to care for them and know how read their body language. I started pet sitting for my family and friends. I have a fenced house where dogs can play safely. In my house dogs can be on the couch. I will spend time playing and caring for your dog or cat as well as walking with them.
About: I grew up with two dogs and they were always part of my life. I have a pet now, his name is Leo, I can't imagine a life without him. I have taken care of my friends dog when they go out on vacation. Leo is very friendly and he loves playing with other dogs. I am working remote and I have a flexible job, so I have enough time to play with your dog. I always spend time with Leo and we take him out 4 times a day. We will give the same care for your dogs as well. I don't have a fenced yard but I make sure your dogs get enough play space in my home. I prefer taking care of them in my home.

I am very active also, and I like to take dogs for a walk. I can play, hug, and give much love to your pet. In Florida, I used to be a volunteer at the local shelter and rescued organizations as well. I am also Bilingual English-Spanish. I work in the office and sometimes remote, finish by 5PM . When I am remote I have more flexibility -Mondays and Fridays usually. I have weekends for myself, but visit my grandchildren usually few hours on Saturday. About: What sets me apart is that I have real hands-on experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve owned both big and small dog breeds, cared for puppies, and also have experience with senior dogs. Right now I currently own two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ve also owned cats, ferrets, and other kinds of animals, which has helped me become very patient, attentive, and adaptable to each pet’s unique needs. I truly love animals and care deeply about their well-being, so I always do my best to treat every pet like they are my own. I currently work from home half of the week so I’m available Friday Saturday Sunday Monday all day and Tuesday-Thursday I have less time personally but both my mom and sister work from home so they would still be taken care of by then I have two of my own dogs one is a senior the other one just turned 1! We love animals in this house! And your fur babies would be looked after with the upmost care! I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for whether they are in my home or in a client’s home. In my home, pets have space to play and get exercise since we have a fenced yard, and there is also a football field right in front of us where they can play too. We also take our dogs on walks often, so pets staying with me would get attention, activity, and lots of care. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. That includes feeding them on time, giving them fresh water, taking them on walks, playing with them, and making sure they get plenty of attention and affection. I always try to make pets feel relaxed and cared for while their owner is away.
“Alia & Ian are great! I felt like they cared for my Coco as if she was their own. They kept me updated throughout the day and made pick up and drop off a breeze.”

About: 15 years of shelter volunteer work plus caring for my own dogs for 16 years. Frequently dog sit for both of my daughters and my son-in-law. After losing my last dog at 17, I would love to provide care, love and walks for yours. I work from home and set my own appointments outside of the home so I can determine precisely when I'll be home. Although I don't have a fenced yard we have a great neighborhood for walks. Dogs should be able to free roam as I don't currently have a crate; or you can provide a crate. Please bring any special toys, bed, etc. that will help your dog acclimate!
“We had a very good first sitting with Lynn and will definitely rebook in the future. Lynn clearly cared a lot about Blue’s well being, comfort, and safety. I knew without question that he was well cared for with her.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wixom commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
