“This was my first time using Rover and leaving my two cats, Shadow and Luna, in the care of a sitter. Meegan was terrific and took excellent care of my furry babies, sending me regular updates and photos. She did two drop-in visits per day for 6 days. When Meegan came for our first meet and greet, Luna who is normally timid came right out to say hello. On the second meet and greet, Luna plopped down and offered up her belly for a rub, which I took as an excellent sign! Meegan remembered every Instructions I gave from one meet and greet visit to the next, and asked probing questions to make sure she knew all she needed to care for my cats. When I got home from my trip, the two litter boxes had visibly been scooped and refilled, the water bowls were filled, and my cats seemed happy and content with no indication of separation anxiety. Meegan is punctual, professional, friendly and obviously an animal lover. I would absolutely use her services again, and highly recommend her. Rover also made it very easy to communicate.”

About: Growing up, I had a Lab and then a Boxer and two cats. I've also helped my aunt at the doggie daycare she runs out of her home where she often has more than 10 dogs at a time. Everything from a Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds to Doodles to Yorkies. And it's always so much fun! The care I'll give your pets will really depend on them and their needs. There's a very large unfenced grass area behind my apartment building that would be perfect for walks or play. And there are multiple parks in the area too we could explore. At yours, I'd keep whatever their normal routine is. Whether that's taking walks, throwing the ball or just sitting and chilling and scratching butts. Their butts of course! About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals since I was very little. I am a equine major and own 3 dogs and a cat. I am working evenings part time on both weekends and weekdays around my softball schedule. I am looking forward to seeing and meeting all different animals. I am very responsible and trustworthy and care for your pets just as if they were my own. I would never want to put you in a place to have to worry.

About: I've had cats my entire life, I pet sit for 2 dogs during the summer before I could get a job and would love for it to become a regular part of my life again. I enjoy spending time with animals sometimes more than people. I'm a college student and a caregiver currently so feel free to reach out with questions about availability. I have 17+ years of working for a guide dog organization, where I trained, evaluated, exercised, and cared for puppies and adult dogs, and taught families basic obedience and proper leash-handling skills. I am not currently offering boarding services, but I will take care of your pets in your home with the utmost kindness and love. About: Growing up, my very first chores were dog- related, so animal care has always been integral in my life. While I sadly no longer have any furry friends of my own, I am an animal person at heart. I’ve pet-sat for family, neighbors, friends, Rover clients, for pets of all breeds and sizes, and I’m very comfortable around any dogs. I grew up with 2 German-shorthaired pointers, and I was responsible for their care daily before and after school. As we (me and the dogs!) all got older, I was the primary caretaker of them in their senior years, so I’m very familiar with the struggles and ailments that come with elderly dogs. I am strong enough to lift most dogs if stairs are any issue- our dogs were around 60-70lbs. I have had roommates with cats who I’ve become very close with. I’ve always loved cats, so learning to care for them and earning their trust was so exciting. I’ve cared for the cats for a week’s time before, so would feel comfortable caring for cats as well. I love pet sitting- it’s nice to have a furry friend to visit since I lack one in my own family at the moment! Any client of mine gets all the pets and attention they could ever dream up. I am also very active, and I walk or run every day, so having a companion there is a bonus for us both! I am currently between full-time jobs but keeping my calendar updated very frequently with my summer availability as I am hoping to pick up work either ongoing or on a one-time basis! Depending on the comfort of each pet, I always spend some time introducing myself and getting to know them at first. Spend some time petting them and getting them comfortable with my presence in their space, and next playing with them if they’re up for it. Once they know they can trust me, we’ll take the day ahead together and they’ll alternate resting, playing with toys, and walking outside.
