“This was my first time using Rover and leaving my two cats, Shadow and Luna, in the care of a sitter. Meegan was terrific and took excellent care of my furry babies, sending me regular updates and photos. She did two drop-in visits per day for 6 days. When Meegan came for our first meet and greet, Luna who is normally timid came right out to say hello. On the second meet and greet, Luna plopped down and offered up her belly for a rub, which I took as an excellent sign! Meegan remembered every Instructions I gave from one meet and greet visit to the next, and asked probing questions to make sure she knew all she needed to care for my cats. When I got home from my trip, the two litter boxes had visibly been scooped and refilled, the water bowls were filled, and my cats seemed happy and content with no indication of separation anxiety. Meegan is punctual, professional, friendly and obviously an animal lover. I would absolutely use her services again, and highly recommend her. Rover also made it very easy to communicate.”

“Meghan did an amazing job checking in on our cat while we were away! She was professional, kept our house clean, and most importantly, our cat was happy and comfortable. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our pet was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Emily is sweet and loving. She clearly loves animals and our two pups love her. Emily is dependable and prompt and quickly responds. We are planning to have her back on regular schedule.”

About: I bond with pets quickly-they sense my fondness for them and I pay attention to the little things, so I sense what they need to be happy. I am working part-time, so I fortunately get to make my own schedule! I can be flexible with what your specific pet needs are. I always go the extra mile because I enjoy animals so much. We have 2.5 acres of land mostly yard and partially woods with walking trails all over. We have a super friendly and playful 2.5 year old neutered Frenchton named Gus who is 40 pounds and enjoys any and all company! We got our puppy Louie in April 2023. He is an adorable almost 1 year old French Bulldog. Our 2 cats are pretty shy of other humans and pets outside of their family-but they love a good petting and join us on walks! We also have chickens for eggs-but they are outside and safely caged. We spend as much time as possible outside enjoying nature and our pets happily join us!

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, and other pets for years. Even the shyest of animals end up loving me! I gave my dog the best 13 years he could ever have, and I want to share my love and kindness with other pets while alleviating duties from busy owners. I am a junior at Florida Institute of Technology studying Forensic Psychology and minoring in PreLaw with a light workload, as I am finishing up my time in college. Caring for pets would drastically increase my happiness and improve my quality of life, give the animals necessary exercise, fresh air, and extra love/attention, and help busy owners tend to their duties and relieve their stress. I have a decent living space in my pet-friendly apartment with backyard greenery and a cozy room for them to rest if the animals need.
About: Growing up, I had a Lab and then a Boxer and two cats. I've also helped my aunt at the doggie daycare she runs out of her home where she often has more than 10 dogs at a time. Everything from a Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds to Doodles to Yorkies. And it's always so much fun! The care I'll give your pets will really depend on them and their needs. There's a very large unfenced grass area behind my apartment building that would be perfect for walks or play. And there are multiple parks in the area too we could explore. At yours, I'd keep whatever their normal routine is. Whether that's taking walks, throwing the ball or just sitting and chilling and scratching butts. Their butts of course! “We met Rhonda when she came over for a “meet & greet”. We really liked her and feel she is a perfect fit to take care of our little papillon. Unfortunately, our plans are canceled due to a sick grandchild. We definitely plan on booking Rhonda in the future, she is fantastic and Bode loved her and took right to her, it’s obvious she loves and is great with animals.”

“Jessie was great! She took great care of my babies, communicated with me throughout my trip, and my very shy cats warmed up to her and came out of hiding when she came over!”

“Wonderful experience - we had to rush out of town twice because of an elderly parent’s health. Samantha was there for us both times even though it was short notice. She saw to our cats needs and even helped out with an issue with unplugging a machine that was left running. Wonderful lady!!!”

“Stephen is amazing! He’s well-versed with large breeds, and we were so happy to find someone experienced who Bowser absolutely loves walking with. He’s always punctual, and after just two walks, Bowser is already so excited to see him! It’s hard to find someone you can truly trust with your dog, and Stephen is definitely that person. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of many cats and dogs from when I was a young child. We rescued a few stray cats and dogs who grew to become our beloved family pets. I’m an administrative professional who during the week works 40 hours in the medical industry and would enjoy caring for your pets in their familiar surroundings. This additional line of work helps support my child’s secondary education, and satisfies my love in caring for animals. I look forward to meeting your feline and/or canine family members and care for them at their dwelling. It’s traumatizing enough missing their owners who need to travel, being placed in an unfamiliar location can disrupt their routine and cause unnecessary stress. Thank you for your consideration. I’M ONLY AVAILABLE ON THE WEEKENDS; FRIDAY EVENINGS TO EARLY MONDAY MORNINGS. Due to my primary job, I’m only able to assist on the weekends. I will feed, pet, play, massage, brush, and interact with your pet as if it were my own. Pets deserve quality care for their unconditional love. A few things I adhere to is avoiding all dog parks. Canines may behave differently when their owners are away and I don’t want any pet to get injured. I prefer to stay on the owners property to keep everyone safe.
About: I have over 10 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter from puppies to high-need senior dogs. I offer a compassionate, confident presence that will keep your pets comfortable and at ease while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate you’re pet’s regular routine as much as possible! I’m attentive and tuned into your pet’s needs. Safety is my number-one priority then of course fun! I will take the time to get to know the specific needs of your pet to ensure that they have the highest level of care and comfort.
About: I've had cats my entire life & I have a few years experience pet sitting for and walking dogs and would love for it to become a regular part of my life again. I enjoy spending time with animals sometimes more than people. I'm a college student and a caregiver currently so feel free to reach out with questions about availability. I have a constantly changing schedule and I may be available more than what's marked here. I take care of my own 2 cats daily, and I'd love to take care of more pets in between my work hours or on my days off. I've been in an environment with animals as long as I can remember feeding them, scooping litter boxes, and my favorites giving love, and playing.
South Kent cat parents share their Rover experiences
Meegan went above and beyond helping me with the cats and even put seed in the feeders for the birds and even looked out for the wild lame turkey that I have been feeding for the past five years. I would recommend her highly to anyone who needs someone to take care of her animals. She's friendly, reliable, and extremely helpful.
