About: I have cared for and loved animals world wide- from pet sitting locally, providing food and water and kindness to strays along my travels, to volunteering at Australia Zoo. Since I was young, animals have always held a huge place in my heart. I would rescue farm kittens, dog walk and cat sit for neighbors, and swerve to avoid hitting a frog with my bike (and now my car). I’ve experienced many sides of pet care—from the fun and rewarding moments to the more difficult and unexpected ones. I’ve had the opportunity to shadow a friend during overnight emergency vet shifts, which gave me firsthand insight into how important it is to remain calm, observant, and attentive when an animal isn’t feeling well. Those experiences have helped me become an even more thoughtful and responsible caregiver and pet parent. My love for animals extends beyond our domesticated companions. I’ve also volunteered with wildlife rehabilitation and do what I can to help the wildlife in my own community. Whether caring for a beloved pet or offering comfort to an animal in need, I consider it a true honor to provide them with patience, kindness, and love. I am self employed as a Massage Therapist located in New Milford. I work Mondays-Fridays and typically start between 2/3:00pm and work until 8(ish). I work one Saturday a month and those hours vary- usually a 4 hour day. With owning my own business I can set my hours- when I have notice I can always schedule accordingly to the pet’s needs. When caring for my/your pet, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and secure. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs—whether that means playful engagement, gentle companionship, or giving them space. I ensure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive medication as directed, and get plenty of attention and affection. I keep litter boxes and living areas clean, monitor for any changes in behavior or health, and communicate updates and photos to owners for peace of mind. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, respect, and lots and lots of love.

About: Hello! I have cared for farm animals full time. I used to foster dogs caring for wounds basic training along with dogs with reactive issues. I have 3 of my own all large breed but very friendly, and one horse with a big personality. I am patient and compassionate all animals have their own personality and all require different care. I work only nights I am a EMT . Which leaves my days free, I can provide all day pet care including walks and or stop ins no problem I can provide comfort to the pets playing or long walks while owners are away or at work. I can stop in as many times as the owners think throughout the day for potty breaks or nights when I’m off of work.

“Sam is by far the best cat sitter I’ve ever hired. She was extremely dedicated to looking after my older cat. Sam is a real cat whisperer - even though my cat is pretty nervous and skittish around people, she absolutely adores Sam and showed her belly in most picture that Sam sent! Sam sent updates multiple times per day, sent some of the best pictures I’ve ever seen of my cat, and was so dedicated to my cat’s care. I’ve been worried about my cat’s eating because of her gastroenteritis, and Sam told me every day whether my cat had eaten or not. Sam even put treats in with my cat’s wet food to coax my cat to eat her new, vet-prescribed food. Sam is such a wonderful, caring and extremely capable pet sitter - I’ve never felt so calm being away from my cat! I’m so grateful that Sam is our regular, most trusted pet sitter.”

About: I've been taking care of my own dog since we first got her 7 years ago, and I also used to volunteer at the New Milford Animal Shelter. My family fosters animals (both cats and dogs) from Because 4 Paws in New Milford, so I have some basic experience with administering medicines and helping others administer medicines. I've also been a dog sitter for 3 different families. I recently moved back to the east coast and am looking for some side work while I hunt for a full time job. I'm not sure when that will be, so I'm trying not to set my availability too far out, but am still flexible for now! Depending on what the owners are comfortable with, I would love to take the dogs out for a walk at a nearby park or walking trail. We have four cats at our house that are wary of new animals, so I am unable to pet sit at my residence. However, I am willing to spend time with your fur babies at your house or preferred location, and will follow whatever instructions necessary to ensure the comfortability of you and your pets.

About: I have owned a cat for seven years, and I enjoy brushing him, feeding him, giving him treats, cleaning the litter box, and cuddling. Sometimes he comes into my room, jumps on my bed, and sleeps with me. I also walk a puppy, a bulldog, named Buckiss. I clean up after him, and enjoy spending time rubbing his belly, and playing catch. At the end of our walk, I bring him back to his house, feed him, and give him water. I follow strict feeding instructions on how much food to give, and what kind of food he's allowed to have (no more than 2 treats a day). When walking in the winter, I make sure Buckiss has dog booties so his feet don't get hurt. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time in my schedule to care for your pet! I have a pretty flexible schedule. When I come to take care of a pet in my client’s home, I make sure that they are cared for with love and I do everything I can to make them feel safe, happy, and comfortable with me. I also make sure that when I end the stay, the client’s home is in the same or better condition than when I first came. I will make sure to clean after myself and leave the place looking as spotless as I can. I try to be a considerate and clean house guest.

About: Aside from growing up caring for animals, I’ve worked at a dog daycare for about a year. During my time there I learned a lot about dog behavior and how to read their body language. Now, I am currently studying canine training and management at SUNY Cobleskill where I work with a variety of canine’s daily. So I am currently on summer break from school, so I can assure you I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I start my day off by making sure my babies are fed and have fresh water, followed by going out for a walk and playing outside for a little! I have a dog and a cat who is very shy. If needed I have a crate that can be used.

About: I just got out of the Army after 8 years and had my best friend with me the whole way, a German Shepard named Mac. Sadly he passed about a year ago and I would love to have a new companion but I'm going back to school in the fall and need to focus on that. However, in the mean time I have the whole summer free to care for other's dogs. I live in a house with a large, fenced in yard and all the free time in the world. I'd love to have a dog to play with a d go on walks with. I currently have no obligations until January so I can devote 100% of my time and energy to your pup. Their care will be my full-time job. I have a large, fenced in yard and no other pets or children. I live on a large street perfect for walks and near the rail trail too.

She keeps the apartment clean- takes the trash out, washes the sheets, etc. She provides great updates. I always know my dogs are well cared for with her.
