“Angela was amazing and came up clutch for us. It was a 1 day notice as our sitter fell through, and she was at my house meeting us and the doggos in a few hours. She took pics of the dogs and kept us updated. She'll be the only one I could tact in the future.”

“Emmarose was amazing! She went above and beyond for our pup to ensure maximum comfort and safety. Her communication was excellent and frequent which eased our worry while we were gone. Her love and passion for animals was clear and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. We will rebook for future needs!”

“Leandra was fantastic! Her communication was excellent and I felt very secure with her watching my dog. She went above and beyond and will definitely book again when I'm out of town.”
“Wonderful experience for both our pups and us! Thalia was super responsive, cheery, and the pups really responded well to her even while we were away. Would happily have her house/pet sit for us again.”

“Good service: Good communication and promptness, excellent rates, and my dog seemed pleased. I’ll definitely use Soraya again if needed in that area (probably in 2 months from now).”
“AnnaMaria is an excellent and exceptional dog caregiver. Not only is she caring but she understands dog behavior and knows how to respond to each dogs personality. Send me photos and a video each day. The senior Bull Terrier had to be taken to our vet for a checkup due to surgery a week before and AnnaMaria took care of this for us. Gave our senior dog her meds and played fetch with our 18 month old Bull Terrier. AnnaMaria is the best and I highly recommend her as a caregiver for any dog.”

“Where do I even begin??? Kelsie was amazing and hands down the best sitter we’ve ever had. We were gone for a full week and she sent updates throughout the day and I never once had to worry about how they were doing. Will obviously be using her again moving forward. We are so grateful for the care and attention she gave to our sweet pups and how well she took care of our house.”

“Lindsey was great with my pups! I was so nervous as this was my first time and I am so happy with her staying at my house to take care of my babies while I had to go on a work trip! Definitely recommend Lindsey if you have pet sitting needs!”

“Evelyn was nothing short of amazing! She took care of two crazy GSPs and made sure they were happy and healthy. One of ours needed medication and special attention while we were away and it did not phase her at all. Would recommend to anyone!”

“John is fantastic! My staffy is very particular with people but he liked John instantly. John Is very patient, very nice, and treats my dog extremely well. You can tell John absolutely loves animals, and I trust him with my pride and joy. I highly recommend John. He is a great guy!”

“Z’le did an amazing job caring for our pups while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon. She watched them for 3 weeks. They had a bit of a hard time adjusting at first, but Z’le comforted them and really took charge of the situation! Absolutely recommend!!”

“We are so pleased with the level of care and compassion that Ben provided. Our dog can't see much anymore, so I was worried leaving him with someone new. Ben provided daily updates and pictures. Thank you so much for caring for our pup!”
“Delishia is so so incredible and caring. She stayed at my house and provided care for my two dogs, one of which was extremely fearful of strangers. She was patient with him, and got him to open up to her by the end of our trip. I HIGHLY recommend her if you are going on a trip and have any pets that need taking care of. She goes above and beyond, while I was out of town, a board in my fence broke and she went to the store to repair it without being asked. So so so incredible I hope you choose her if able!!”

“Jasmine was an excellent communicator and gave me plenty of updates regarding my pups. She was very responsive and willing to accommodate the needs of my dogs. I totally recommend her and will absolutely use her again in the future.”

“Matthew was amazing as always! Sent daily pics, updated me on anything new. Cleaned up after himself when he left. Thank you again Matthew for being so great.”

“Gessika did a great job taking care of Baxter and Mia. Especially since Mia needs so much encouragemen. She was a trooper when my alarm system went off at 1 AM due to a low battery. It was scary. All of us think Gessika is a a star sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Windcrest
Emma provided an excellent service. She was reliable and communicative and always accessible. We appreciated the photos and updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We came home to happy and relaxed puppies. I highly recommend Emma and would definitely use her services again in the future.
This was the first time that I book with Rover and Megan set the bar high! She was incredible with my senior dog, Gailey. She managed her daily walks and her medications faithfully. Her communication and pictures throughout the week were so appreciated. Megan, thank you so much for all the good care and love you gave my Gailey. It gave me peace of mind, knowing she was well cared for. I came home to a happy dog and a super clean house! I would highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for a sitter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We couldn’t be happier with the care Mora and Raylan received! From the moment we met, it was clear Dawn truly loves and understands dogs. Mora and Raylan were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned, which says everything. We received great updates and photos, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such capable, loving hands. Reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring — we would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing dog sitter!

Valentina was amazing with our five dogs. She kept in touch the whole time and sent updates that actually made me feel relaxed. When I got home the dogs barely cared that I walked in, which tells you everything. They were happy, calm, and clearly loved. I’d book her again without hesitation.

Juilanna did great with all of our pups and they loved her! Communication was great throughout the whole visit and she included plenty of pictures to keep us updated. She did an excellent job of making sure all of our pups needs were met especially for our biggest boy who was recently sick with pneumonia! She followed the rules given and kept the house clean, no issues. She was great! We will definitely be reaching out for future visits!

Monserrath was absolutely great! Kept us updated on how the pups were doing, giving each of them attention, and with 5 dogs, she had her hands full. She also provided us with great pup report cards at the end of her stay, noting behaviors, eating, and little details on how each pup did during her stay. We hope to use Monserrath again in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Windcrest walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Windcrest maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Windcrest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windcrest. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
