About: I have been an ongoing volunteer at the Animal Defense League of San Antonio since I was about 9 y/o, taking the dogs on walks and socializing the cats and kittens. I have thorough knowledge and experience with raising and fostering kittens, as well as dogs just under 1y/o. I am well experienced and knowledgeable in animal care and the handling of a myriad of pets and wildlife. While currently also shadowing a very experienced and accredited dog trainer, I am definitely confident in my ability to provide extra care and love for your sweet, fur-babies. Currently, I am in-between jobs, so I as long as I have about a day's heads-up, I'm usually free pretty much any day to care for you furry friend. I perfer to start my work day around afternoon to late afternoon, though morning time isn't a deal-breaker. I want your pet to experience the least amount of stress possible (especially during the first couple visits), so I try to stick to their daily routine as much as I can. For walks, I am quite comfortable walking bigger dogs that may come across as a lot to handle, despite being of a smaller stature. I have experience with training arduous or physically demanding dogs to walk beautifully on the leash also. As for drop-in visits and sitting, I will always stick to the schedule you provide and the safety and well-being of your pet will always be my top priority.

About: I have owned animals most of my life. I had my first horse when I was 10 and my first dog when I was 12. Since then I have always had 1 and up to 4 pets at a time. I have had both dogs and cats, and still do. I have raised several puppies, but now I only adopt older dogs. When I travel, I always prefer for someone to come to my house where my pets feel the most comfortable and safe. Therefor my services are to stay with your pet/pets at their home. I am semi retired and need to stay active and engaged. I strive to schedule everyone's needs, but will not over promise and under deliver. Currently I am open 7 days a week for walking, sitting or play dates. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I live in a condominium with a small yard for the dogs to enjoy. Nevertheless, they still need more activity and stimulation so they still get daily walks. Olive the cat, comes and goes as she pleases, but is well fed and knows her love is here. I also, have a groomer that comes to the casa to bath and manicure them as they feel most secure with her than going to a grooming location. I got to spend some time with her myself, and Terre kept going over to cuddle with her, which says a lot because he’s usually pretty attached to me. Madison was great with our pups! We have a rescue who’s very anxious and unsure of new people and he warmed up to her very quickly. We were nervous for someone we didn’t know to pet and housesit. Steven did two visits with us and our pets to make sure we all felt comfortable. Upon returning home from vacation, our pets were happy to see us but they didn’t seem overly excited or stressed. This was a good sign that our pets were relaxed with Steven while we were away.
