“Sarah was punctual, communicative, and so sweet with my dog. I appreciated her short turnaround response and hope to use her again soon for my frequent work trips. Highly recommended! Thank you!”

“Lindsey was amazing! They took excellent care of my dog, kept me updated with pictures, and made sure my pup was happy and comfortable. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“William is awesome. He took great care of Brooklyn, was super responsive and communicative, and respectful of the house. Very professional. Also took amazing pics of Brooklyn and should consider a second career as a pet photographer”

“Our second time using Laurie and she was awesome again. We got an email about a possible water leak and she was able to investigate and check all the important areas for us. Very responsive! Thank you again for taking care of our pups and house!”

“Alina stayed with our dog and two cats for five nights, and they seem so relaxed and happy when we got home. They clearly loved her! She took great care of everything and sent tons of pictures all week. Highly recommend!”

“Kellie did great with my older dog Lolly (who is a fur factory) and our little Watson (who needs / wants to snuggle all the time). Thanks Kellie for taking such good care of the dogs.”

“Where do I start with how great she is! Meg came over for a meet and greet to ensure Nala, my cat, got to meet her ahead of time. I was honestly shocked because my skittish girl who typically doesn’t approach strangers went right up to her with no hesitation. Meg took detailed notes and even asked about household things she could do while I was gone (e.g., asking what days the garbage man came, etc.). Most importantly, my cat has a heart condition and takes three medications. I’m always worried when I leave since she’s not the easiest cat to get meds in. But not for Meg, she said she had no issues getting Nala to take her medications. I’m so thankful for Meg and can’t say enough great things about her. Nala clearly trusted her and so do I!”

“Matthew was great again! Havana and Lexi love their sitter! Thank you Matthew for your pictures while we were gone and keeping us updated on the dogs each day. We are very grateful.”

“Could not ask for a better pup sitter. How do I know? Because my fur baby was happy and relaxed when I got home. Nichole stayed in contact while I was gone, sending pictures and updates. She even took him by his favorite dog store and had them look up what we usually buy to choose his treat! She took impeccable care of my home and followed instructions exactly. I have already booked two more sits with her and am thrilled with her! Highly recommend.”

“Kadence is an amazing sitter! I have four adorable fur babies, and they can be quite challenging, but Kadence handled everything with ease. I can't wait to book her again for our pet care needs she's simply the best!”

About: I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't had dogs or cats in my house. Just recently we have had two dogs in our home and three cats! I have gotten very used to caring for dogs & cats and having them around all the time. I miss having a pet close by and that's why I have chosen to work with Rover! I live in the North East side of San Antonio. My area is close to wonderful paved trails and a nice shaded dog park. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. I hope you will trust me to care for your family member! I am in a season of life where I have a lot of flexibility so I can focus on caring for your pet! Which means a lot of time for walking and playing and attention to your pet! My pets have a big backyard where they can bark and chase squirrels all day. I also have a crate if needed or preferred. Pets are like family so I love keeping them close by!
“Liz is AMAZING. My sweet rescue pup is a little anxious and jumpy, but Liz was so patient and gentle with her and gave her time to feel comfortable. And things went great! Liz sent photos and updates and left my house better than I left it. I could not be happier.”

“Beau and Gucci like Dora and seem comfortable when she arrives. She is relaxed and calm with both dogs, and they instinctively respond to that. She arrived on time Saturday morning, but left earlier than scheduled on Sunday (when she discovered her car wouldn't start after attending her morning church service). We recommend Dora for pet and house sitting.”

“Alex was great! The dogs were certainly well taken care of and he was great at providing updates throughout. The house was clean when we came back as well and all asks completely followed. Thanks!”

“Patty is wonderful dog sitter. She takes incredible care of my 15 year old bichon that requires extra effort. He's on meds and needs a little more attention. Patty gives him that. She also is wonderful with my 3 year old mini poodle. I highly recommend Patty!”
“Roxanne was so great with my little pup. She sent me photos and gave me updates throughout my trip and it felt great to know Macchiato was in good hands. Roxanne dog sat at my place and left it immaculate when she left. I'd definitely have Roxanne back again.”

“Miranda was wonderful. My dog Nina was calm and relaxed when we came back home which is a great way to express that all went well. Our house was the way we had left, clean and organized. I will continue working with Miranda and recommend her to anyone who enjoys someone kind, polite and caring.”

“Great service and excellent communication. My pets were very well taken care of and they even managed to make friends with my antisocial cat. They sent tons of pictures throughout the visit and stayed in constant communication. Would definitely book with them again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Castle Hills
Kayla is always our first choice for staying in our home when we are away. She not only provides excellent care for our two very needy pups, but also watering our outdoor plants. She is able to administer medication to our dog with a chronic health condition, and also encourage this picky girl to eat. Kayla provides updates and photos throughout the day, which is always reassuring. I highly recommend her for your overnight petsitting needs!

Miranda did an amazing job looking after our cat and house sitting. We were out of the country for a week and Miranda sent us daily updates and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed that our little baby was well looked after. I will definitely be requesting Miranda's services again!

Denise was fantastic! Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and she kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip. When we got home, it was obvious that Chevy had been well loved and well cared for. Knowing he was in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely book with Denise again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

Amazing sitter! Meet & greet went well- she was thorough- asked good questions and was kind to the dogs and cat! The sit itself went wonderfully, she sent photos and we got home to a very tidy home with a clean litter box and clean dog bowls! We would definitely recommend and will work together again!

We had an unexpected situation come up right as we were leaving for Puerto Rico, and our original sitter canceled last minute. Thankfully, this amazing couple stepped in on very short notice and completely saved the trip for us. From day one, they were incredibly reliable, communicative, and caring. They made sure our dog was comfortable, stuck to his routine, and handled his medication perfectly. We got regular updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while being away. You can tell they genuinely care about the pets they look after, and that meant everything to us. We came back to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and attentive sitters—we’ll definitely be booking with them again!

Sonya was SUPER sweet and attentive to my pups, I get super bad anxiety leaving my babies due to past experiences but with Sonya I didnt worry at all! My dogs are a pain and try and get away with everything so I'm very glad she knew exactly how to read my dogs!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Castle Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Castle Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Castle Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
