About: Hi, I’m Wendi! 🤍 Caring for animals isn’t just my job ,it’s something I genuinely love. I work with pets every day, so I’m experienced in handling all kinds of personalities and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or just have a calm companion, I’ll care for them like they’re part of my own family. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! Pet care is a part of my everyday life! I work with animals daily, so caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and naturally make time for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply giving them love and attention, I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In a client’s home, I follow their routine with feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. If they stay in my home, I have a clean space, friendly dogs, a fenced-in yard with plenty of room to run, and a way to separate pets when needed to keep everyone happy and comfortable. 🐾

About: I grew up in a household full of love for animals, and that passion was passed down to me. I’ve raised many dogs, from playful puppies to wise seniors, and I treat every pet as part of the family — loved, cared for, and spoiled with affection. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy being around animals, whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company. I’m reliable, attentive, and make sure every pet feels happy and safe while you’re away. I’m a mom raising three boys, so caring for others is just part of my day — pets included! I have a flexible schedule and can fit walks, visits, or overnight stays into my routine easily. I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. At my home, pets have plenty of space to explore and play! I have a huge, partially fenced yard, and we live off a quiet dirt road with a pond and private walking trails. We can go leashed or unleashed, whatever your pet prefers. I love spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to take walks, play, or just enjoy fresh air with your pets. If I’m caring for them at your home, I always follow your rules and routines to make sure they feel comfortable and safe.
“I had a wonderful experience with Lesly. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared a lot about my dog’s well being. From the start, she made us feel comfortable leaving our dog in her care. She kept me updated and made sure my dog was happy, safe, and well taken care of. I would happily book with her again in the future.”

“This was my first time ever using Rover, and since I had a long trip, I really had no choice but to find someone to take care of Oreo. I was honestly super nervous at first — it was my first time being away from him for this long, and I had so many worries in my head. I kept wondering if he would feel comfortable, if he would eat well, or if he would miss home too much. But Mihee and her family made everything so much easier. They took such good care of Oreo and really helped me relax during my trip. They sent tons of photos and videos every day, always kept me updated, and let me know how he was doing — what he ate, how he played, how he was feeling. I really appreciated the communication and the patience they had with him. Oreo looked so happy staying with them, like he actually enjoyed his little “vacation.” It didn’t feel like he was just being watched — it felt like he was staying with people who genuinely cared. I’m really thankful for Mihee and her family. For my first Rover experience, this honestly couldn’t have gone better, and I’d definitely book with them again in the future.”

“They were really nice and understanding. Their dogs are also really well trained when they say that they mean it. Will definitely book again with them in the future! 😊”

“We normally take our little doggie to Pet Paradise or Petsmart, and she hates it. So, this time decided to try something different with her. We found Maria, by chance, and we couldn't be happier. Maria has got to be one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and she loves her animals. We are so thankful that we found her. And, by the way Deeva loved the stay. We'll be back. Thank you for everything.”

“Nadiia is a wonderful sitter. I constantly got updates and pictures of my pup. She genuinely loved and cared for my puppy as she would her own. Thank you so much for keeping Bailey.”

“Jordan was great! I had to reach out to her very last minute late at night and she still was willing and available to help. She sent me updates daily without me even having to ask. Definitely recommend her!!”

“Always quick to respond and accommodating after a couple of hiccups on my part! My dogs are always happy and energetic after leaving after all of my bookings with Tena :)”

“A wonderful, kind, and caring lady. She was very communicative and even sent pictures of my dog while we were gone. She has a lovely home for a dog and backyard for them to play in.”

“Heather took excellent care of our pug. She kept in contact throughout with pictures and messages that gave us peace of mind. We could tell when we brought him back home that he was well taken care of. No neediness or withdrawal. Thank you Heather!”

“Michael did an AMAZING job taking care of my boxer. He was very kind and kept me updated throughout the week. I loved knowing my dog was being loved on rather than in a kennel day and night! He even sent pictures ? We will be using his services for all future trips!”

“Thank you, Tiffany and family, for taking such great care of Pedro! Such a loving family and he seemed very comfortable. Grateful for the updates and pics :)”

“Carol and her husband were great. We were on a cruise, so didn’t have access to cell service but still received picture updates throughout the stay. I was very pleased with their hospitality and care they showed towards my dog. This was the first time in a long time I’ve had to board my pet, so I was hesitant with the process. But after meeting them and their own dogs, I was relieved with the process and situations. My dog is a Jack Russell puppy, so he has an abundant amount of energy and I hope that he wasn’t too much trouble for them. If I need boarding again, I will definitely see if Carol and her husband are available and willing to take my dog again. Thanks again!”

“I cannot say enough nice things about Jordyn and how well she took care of my littlest love, Fettuccine. It was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving him with a non-family member, and she put me completely at ease. She has wonderful communication, sent tons of photos, and I highly recommend using her. My flight coming home was delayed, and I needed to add another day to his care, and she handled my request seamlessly. He played his heart out and made new friends, and now I know who to use whenever I need a sitter. Thank you so much again, Jordyn!”

“Elizabeth is amazing! She is responsive, professional, and provides daily updates with pictures of your fur baby. It is amazing to see how Lolla enjoyed her and the other 2 Westies she has. We went on a trip for 9 days and she took care of Lolla like family. I strongly recommend her to anyone willing to leave your per in a safe environment.”

At our meet and greet I felt like I’ve known Jessica my whole life. She met Ruby, we had a cup of coffee together. Jessica was very attentive to Ruby’s needs. She kept in touch with me because Ruby is a special needs dog. I would highly recommend Jessica. And I would use her again, absolutely.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
