“We couldn’t be happier with Alexandra! We needed a last-minute dog sitter for the 4th of July weekend, and she was absolutely amazing with our 10-year-old German Shepherd, Gus. She came by twice a day for drop-in visits and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Gus can sometimes take a little time to warm up to new people, but he quickly became comfortable with Alexandra, which says a lot about her calm, caring approach. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly treated Gus like he was her own. We loved receiving updates and knowing he was getting plenty of attention and care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and dependable, we highly recommend Alexandra. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Thanks so much to Charisma for stopping by to let Indigo out & feed him! My first time using the drop-in option on Rover. Great communication, quick replies, & she kept me updated on Indigo with pictures & followed up with me when she left! I will definitely be using her again in the future! 😊”

“Alissa was awesome! She was kind, communicated clearly throughout the process, and did a great job with our very anxious pup. We're so grateful that she was able to take care of him while we were gone, and I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats(only a couple) since I was a kid. My friends, family, and nanny families knew they had someone they could trust to take care of and love their fur baby like it was mine. I have lived with a dog my entire life-all rescues(Golden Retriever, Pitty Mixes, King Charles Spaniel, Rotty Mix, Lab Mixes, Great Dane…) Our current fur baby Midnight is a senior Lab Pitty mix. I have experience caring for puppies to seniors. I am comfortable giving medication, feeding, bathing, walking, cleaning up after, and transporting your dog. I have less experience with cats, but have house sat several cats-making sure to follow their feeding schedule and cleaning out their litter box. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I worked with children 6 weeks to 5 years old for over 12 years. Which means I have lots of patience, love, and understanding. I have been lucky to be able to stay home with our daughter the last five years. But I am ready to make my way back into part-time work. I believes pets are our family and I will treat yours like mine. It would be a honor to help care for and love on them. I am currently a stay at home mom. My daughter is in preschool three days a week and starting kindergarten in the fall. So I have flexibility in my schedule. At the moment I am available Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 9am-12:30pm, and flexible Thursdays and weekends. I can do drop ins, hangout time, playtime, walks, and lots of snuggles and pets. At the moment I am not able to board any dogs or cats. My sweet boy was attacked in his foster home and still learning to trust other dogs again. I am comfortable come to your house to care for your pets.
“Jessiana was absolutely fantastic. She took great care of my babies. I have a hermit cat that takes a long time to warm up to people. I even said not to be concerned if you never see him. He started to come out within a few days and that is huge. I always worry about my diabetic cat when I go away because he his elderly. She took absolutely fantastic care of him. I am very grateful for her care.”

“Katie’s awesome! So friendly and helpful and genuine. I was in a bind and so lucky to have her take care of our dog for the day. It took the stress away not having to worry about our dog’s care-you can tell she cares. She went out of her way to be tidy and even took our dog on long walks despite the rain! We will definitely use her again!”

“Cara is extremely professional and a delight when she checks in on our little guy. Her communication is timely and provides a great level of assurance that our cat is well taken care of. We are beyond thrilled that we found Cara!”

About: Ive had a dog for 5 years. She’s a corgi and her name is Lily. I have potty trained her and trained her on several commands. I would love and care any other dog as if they were my own. I work full time so this would be more of a part time thing whenever I’m available. I work from home so getting out and walking or watching dogs would be great. I have a fenced in yard and have one dog and two cats. I won’t be boarding for now. This would be more of taking them on walks or check in on them or house sit.
“Lauren was so helpful, consistent and communicative. My dogs were well taken care of, walked, and loved for the few days I was gone. Lauren made sure I knew how my dogs were doing and updated me each step of the way! Highly recommend!”

“Alison is legitimately the best pet care provider I have EVER had. My cat fell completely in love with her. Every picture, Frannie was interacting with Alison. Keep in mind that Alison and Frannie were strangers to each other. Frannie was sitting in Alison's lap making biscuits on day one. Alison sent so many great photos and responded so quickly to all of my messages. When I got home the litter box was clean and the floor was clean. She literally vacuumed up all of the tracked litter. She was at our house caring for Frannie exactly when she said she would be, and I know this because we have a ring doorbell. I have already rebooked for our next trip.”

About: I worked in a dog daycare facility and have provided many services. I have experience feeding , giving medication, bathing and trimming nails. I have loved dogs all my life but have never had the chance to own one so I do my best to provide quality care and love to any dog I see. I am going to be doing some schooling so I will balance school work with my rover work as well as I can by leaving some days closed off so I can focus on my schoolwork. To start I am only going to be doing walks and drop ins to get used to how the river life works but will probably eventually provide all services.
About: As someone who has grown up always having dogs and cats, I know how important it is to have someone who is comfortable and loves being around animals to take care of them. I have been dog sitting family friends’s dogs and pets since I was 19. I work Monday-Friday on a 9-3:30 schedule. I am available before work and after 3:30 during the week. During the summer I will have more availability. I think it’s important to build trust with animals by providing them the space they need, especially when you’re someone new to them. I care for my own pets by spending quality time with them by taking them on walks (dogs, or even cats if that’s what you are looking for too!) and with my own pets, giving them lots of love and affection and an occasional treat (or 2.)

About: I have had pets my whole life and have been trusted to care for them consistently. Having 2 of my own dogs and many reptiles/amphibians, my care for pets goes deeper than most. I am currently working on becoming credentialed as a NP so I am no longer working a full time job, making me free almost any day. I have a fenced in yard with 2 friendly dogs but am also available to come to your home as needed! I have a home of my own as well so I know the importance of keeping the home safe and clean for our little friends.
About: Hey there! I’m Melissa — professional treat-giver, squeaky-toy champion, and expert belly-rubber. I make sure your dog is living their best life while you’re out living yours! We have a 4.5 yo mini bernedoodle who loves having friends over! I work from home 2 days per week. My schedule is flexible to provide care in our home during those days, walks at your house or activities with our dog. My usual days home are Monday and Friday. I am also available during holidays, or on Saturday and Sunday. In my home, pets enjoy a calm and supervised environment with lots of love, playtime, and enrichment. While we do not have a fenced-in yard, I’m extremely careful — outdoor time is always controlled with secure leashes and full supervision for safety. Your peace of mind means everything to me, and I’ll always treat your pet like family.

Caring for dogs is my full time job, and I love getting to know each pup’s unique personality! I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments and I’m comfortable with structured routines, medications, leash handling, feeding schedules, multi dog households, and dogs with different energy levels or personalities. Drop-in Visits: a 30 minute visit for potty breaks, playtime, feeding & lots of love 🫶🏻 Walks: a 30 or 60 minute neighborhood walk tailored to your dogs energy level and routine 🦮 Adventure Walks: an extended outing to local trails, parks, or other dog friendly spots for extra exercise and enrichment 🐾 Pet Sitting: Available on a limited basis for established clients. Overnight stays include evening and morning routines, potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of companionship while you’re away. 🏠 Pet care is my full time job! I currently offer dog walks, drop in visits, and selective overnight care throughout the week. My schedule allows me to provide reliable care, regular potty breaks, exercise, and lots of attention while making sure each pet stays on their normal routine as much as possible! Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and needs so they can feel as comfortable and stress free as possible while you’re away. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilbraham
Alexis was amazing with our cat Monty while we were away. We so appreciated the care and attention she gave, as well as the daily updates after her check-ins. We could tell the moment we met her that she really does love animals, and we knew our little guy would get the same love and attention during visits that she gives to her own! She is kind, respectful, trustworthy, and a little bit hilarious (we seriously loved her commentary about our Monty’s antics on our Rover Cards). Already booked her for our next trip!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
