About: My number one pet care skill is dog walking. In current life I have now, my family recently adopted an eleven month lab mix puppy who I have been helping to house train and potty train her. I live near a park with a track around it, so it makes it easy to walk her. My other skill would be getting dogs to like and trust me. Ever since I was four, I have had at least two dogs, which has trained me to give dogs a lot of pettings, talk to them, and play with them. Other specialties I have are feeding, watering, bathing, brushing a dog, and training a dog basic tricks, such as sit. Overall, I have had five dogs, in my life time since I was four, including a Jack Russel, Terrier mix, Pyrenees Poodle, Feist, and a Lab mix. Parting outside of dogs, I have experience with caring for rabbits, birds and fowl (chicken, duck, geese, guinea), and a stray cat. Hi, I am a second year college student, and also have a job in fast food. Dog sitting is my side gig, which making my hours limited. I am available all day on Sundays, available after 1:30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and before 3pm on Saturdays. The number one way I will care for your pet at your home is by being attentive. I'll make sure that they are not doing anything they should not be doing. I will also ensure they have plenty of time outside for potty breaks, walks, and exercise. Furthermore I will keep an eye that they are fed properly, have plenty of water, and loved and cared for. Lastly, I'll make certain to clean whatever mess your pet may make and guarantee that your pet is happy and content.

About: Since a young adult, I have loved having pets. At first I just had cats, and I love them! Later in life I became a dog mom too. Currently we have 1 big dog and 1 cat; we live in the forest and they are in and out all day long! They both get along well with other animals. I am a teacher and so will be off for summer! I will have plenty of time to give your pet the love it needs! We live in a quiet neighborhood in the forest; while we don’t have a fenced area, there are nice roads and paths to walk dogs. The area Down by our stream is quiet and private- we take our pets here regularly and let them run around. We also take long leash walks. I have a medium and large size kennels if your pet is used to crates.

About: (Previously known as AJ) I am a lifelong animal lover with experience in dog, cat and some limited horse care. With a natural affinity for animals, I enjoy working with many different critter personalities and always honor and meet any animal where they are at. I have experience with senior pets and I am comfortable administering medications with instructions. I firmly believe that you are the expert on your fur kids- I use a great attention to detail to do my very best to enrich any animal’s life with all of the information on hand, rather than taking a cookie cutter approach. If I need clarification, I am not afraid to ask. My number one priority is always your pet’s health and safety. It would be an absolute privilege to help care for your beloved family members! Please feel free to message me with any questions. Thank you for your time! My schedule is fairly flexible as I work part-time at night. Please reach out with your needs and we can try to work something out! I am comfortable offering services in your home, I am not able to offer services in my home at this time due to having three doggos in my house! In your home I would start with questions helping me get familiar with your pet’s routine, their normal vs abnormal behaviors, and any logistical tasks needed in my role to ensure their heath and happiness as well as yours.

“You guys were awesome! Thank you!!”

“Rachael is fantastic, I could immediately tell that she genuinely enjoys spending time with my dog. I can also tell how much he enjoys the time with Rachael as well.”

“Patricia has a beautiful energy. She’s kind to both me and my dog, she listens to any concerns and helps beyond what is asked! I’m a new pet owner and I sometimes work long hours so I’m wholeheartedly grateful for her help and calm presence!”

About: Hi! I’m Tiana, and I have a big heart for animals! I know how hard it is to be away from our fur babies, so I bring the upmost care, comfort, and fun to your pets while you’re away. Though I’m new to Rover, I have been a pet owner/sitter for over a decade. You can confidently rely on me to walk, feed, and care for your beloved furry family member for drop in visits as your schedule requires. My schedule is very flexible, and being new to the area, I am happy to make new friends, furry or otherwise! I will accommodate your needs. My drop in visits always include a walk, unless otherwise requested. I am a very active individual and love to have a furry friend join me! I take great care in providing an enjoyable and comfortable experience for you and your pet. I am also trained in administering insulin and other various medications as needed.

About: **Notice** Right now I'm only able to service Bryson City NC. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Also, I'm planning to relocate to Lawton Oklahoma. I have experience with animals of all kinds. I love them all. I previously worked at an animal shelter for 6 yrs. My dogs have all been trained. I absolutely love spending time with animals. Their care and well being comes first. I have worked with obedience trainers in the past and usually when im on a walk with a dog im not just walking them im usually incorporating obedience work with the walk. Positive reinforcement is how i train. I try to make my time with the animals fun and exciting. I dont want the dog to be bored and miss their owners while they are away. I want them to be happy and comfortable with me. I go above and beyond to make their sitting experience the best. I currently work another full time job so I try to keep my calendar updated on the days I'm available. Sometimes I can do drop in visits after work if that helps. I am not currently caring for pets in my home due to the amount of rescues I have at the moment. But I am still doing drop ins and walks

“Renee was excellent with our dog, he loved taking walks with her. Renee communicated with us well and we were completely comfortable leaving our dog with her. Would use again!”

About: My first word was "cat" because of my attachment to our family feline, Miss Mystery. This first utterance foretold a life-long love of animals though dogs would become the norm in my household. Throughout high school, I volunteered at the local Humane Society and one of my first full-time jobs was a Dog Rescue Attendant. At twenty, I adopted my first dog (outside of family animals, of course) -- a dachshund mix named Leelu -- and she was my steadfast companion for 14 years. I now have a 3 yr. old lab-Australian Shepard mix - Gidget. Both of my girls have taught me invaluable lessons about dog care; specifically, I've learned a lot about different breed personalities and needs, puppy training and enrichment, senior dog care, and limited mobility dog care. I aspire to be the best dog mom possible and I will bring that same energy and commitment to working with your pet. I recently returned to North Carolina and I'm in the process of looking for full-time positions in my field. This process can take quite some time, but allows for a very flexible schedule. I'm available during the week from 8:00 - 7:00pm - late evenings upon special request; same goes for the weekend. I want your animal to see me as a companion -- a human they enthusiastically greet when we spend time together! Your pet will be treated with the same doting affection I lavish on my own pup. If I'm taking your dog on a walk, I'll make sure they're exercised, but also, they'll get plenty of time to interact with their surroundings and enjoy the sunshine. If I'm dropping in for a "play date," this would look like whatever your dog enjoys the most -- maybe tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, fetch, or puzzle games (every dog is different!). Regardless of the service, your pet will get lots of attention and belly rubs (if that's their thing). Ultimately, I will seek guidance from you, the owner, and follow your lead on how best to spend time with your pet!

“Lillie has been great working with our new dog Archie. She is very patient and gives great updates, which is very helpful when trying to figure out what behaviors we need to work on with him.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats and hamsters for a couple of years first was my family dog, then my cat in college and roommate’s hamster I only work 2-3 days out of the week for only 2 hours and I am free weekends. Which gives me enough time to care for your pets and spend time with them. I can also care for smaller pets like fish or hamsters if needed. In my home, which is my dorm, I feed my cat twice a day and make sure his water bowl is always full and clean out his litter box at the beginning of each day. In case of a fire I grab my cat with his emergency bag and I have also helped my roommate get her hamster out during a fire drill. I always make sure to spend time playing with them as well. For clients I make sure to care for their pets as I would want anyone else to care for mine; providing the food as asked by the client and cleaning after the pet as asked which includes cleaning the litter box or going for walks and playing with the pets.

About: I am a biology student at WCU focused on ecology, so I absolutely love animals. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, but I also have experience with exotic animals. I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for over 5 years, and it’s always been my favorite job! I work flexible part time jobs, so I am available both mornings and evenings, as well as weekends with notice! My current flexibility also allows for more daytime pet care, such as walks or check-ins. I have lots of experience with overnight pet care, and I know that trust is a big part of an animal feeling comfortable with a stranger in their space. I’m very calm and relaxed when I first meet an animal to give them space to come to me :)

About: I have a decade of experience with animal care, both in pet sitting and animal rescue. Please reach out for dog day camp or boarding needs. I am available from early morning until 10 PM, allowing me to provide flexible and consistent care for your pets. Whether it's morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddles, I ensure that your pets receive the attention and care they need throughout the day. For pups that come to day camp or board with us, we start our mornings going for walks, followed by breakfast and a little relaxation time out doors. Then we head out for a hike in the woods to burn off energy and get plenty of time to explore and socialize with the pack. I arrange a meet and greet with the pet and owner to understand the pet's routine, preferences, and any special needs. I am Pet CPR and Safety certifiied and make your pet's safety and security a top priority.

Julia B.
“I’ve known Julia for almost forty years and still remember going to her house for the very first time as a young girl. She had several pets, all of whom were brought home by Julia, and I knew right away why God crossed our paths. I naturally have a heart for animals, bringing everything home that I find, and Julia has the same heart. Over the years, I have known Julia to always have pets. Cats, dogs, ferrets, birds, and a tortoise. Not to mention the wildlife that she has rescued and helped throughput the years. She has a home in the country now where she has added pet chickens and a goat. Having animals in her life brings her joy and in return the animals always get the best care and love. I only wish I lived a little closer because I know that I could count on Julia to care for my fur family while I am away. I can’t imagine any work that would make her happier than caring for animals.”
