About: I’ve cared for animals in a wide range of environments, from farms on the Big Island of Hawaii to horses in Appalachia and North Florida. For the last decade, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals, including more than 30 pets in the Asheville area in one summer alone! I naturally connect with animals and tend to bond with them easily. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home, and I naturally pay close attention to the little things, follow instructions carefully, and try to keep each pet’s routine as familiar and relaxed as possible while you’re away. I’m dependable, grounded, and easy to communicate with. Every animal is different, and I’m happy to adjust my care around their personality, routine, and comfort level. I am also happy to offer plant care and watering when needed. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m local to the Waynesville and Lake Junaluska area and have a flexible schedule. That makes it easy for me to be consistent, responsive, and dependable for walks, drop-ins, feeding routines, and companionship. I really value the trust involved in caring for someone’s pets and home, and I try to make that experience feel easy and reassuring. I’m attentive to routines, communicate clearly, and enjoy creating a calm, steady environment where pets can feel comfortable while their people are away. I provide care both in clients’ homes and, for the right fit, in my own home. I try to keep each pet’s routine as familiar as possible by following feeding schedules, walks, medication instructions, household preferences, and any other details you leave for me. I’m very attentive to safety and the little things that help everything run smoothly—making sure doors and gates are secure, watching for changes in behavior or comfort, and treating both pets and homes with care and respect. When I care for a dog in my home, I want it to be a good fit for everyone involved. I pay attention to temperament, routine, comfort level, and how well the dog settles into a home environment so I can provide calm, attentive care rather than forcing a situation that isn’t right. I also communicate consistently throughout the stay so you know how things are going. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you feel confident they’re in responsible hands.

About: I’ve been a full time dog mom since 2007 and have cared for a variety of different breeds and temperament's. One thing that sets me apart is that I’m extremely active and love to get the pups outside on walks, runs, hikes, etc. Also, I’m always home so the dogs would never be left by themselves which is hard to find in sitters post-Covid. Love to take photos so you’ll receive many updates throughout the day if wanted. Dogs are meticulously cared for and treated like my own. Happy to accommodate even the quirkiest of requests. I work full time but from home with my daughter, who also helps with the pups! I have a flexible schedule/laptop so we are free for walks and playtime constantly. I do not work on weekends so I try to go on short trips those days! I have a nice open floor plan home (2100sqft) that is 100% dog friendly. My 3 year old human and 6 old golden lab are home full time to play and give attention in addition to me. I also have a 1/3rd acre backyard perfect for running laps and playing fetch!

About: I have had pets my entire life and grew up on a small farm with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, and even sometimes quail! I am currently a full-time mom of 1 human child and 3 of the four legged variety. I have cared for a variety of different dog breeds and temperament's. I’m very active and would love to get your dogs outside on walks, runs, or hikes. I have always treated our animals like part of the family and I will treat your pet with the same love, respect, and kindness that I give to my own. My rates reflect quality - but affordable - pet care. I send a lot of picture updates throughout the day in order to set your mind at ease - I know how hard it can be to leave your pet while you're away! I have a very flexible schedule since I am a stay at home mom! Just let me know your current needs and I can likely accommodate most schedules. I am currently not boarding or watching pets in my home, but I will make sure your pet is safe and comfortable in their own space. I offer to do long dog walks and play-time so that they go home tired at the end of the day!

About: Hi! We’re an animal-loving family with room to roam and a whole lot of heart. We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. We also have a sweet baby, Cooper, who is growing up learning to gently and respectfully love animals. Our home is calm, structured, and family-oriented. In addition to boarding, we also offer drop-in visits for pets who are happiest staying in their own home. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, walks, medication, or just some companionship and playtime, we’re happy to help. I’m currently a stay at home parent so my schedule is wide open for both days and nights to take on boarding or do visits to other homes. My home has a large fenced area where our three dogs can roam and exercise. I am very reliable and respectful when it comes to entering others’ homes while taking care of their pets.

About: I am a teacher in Asheville looking to hang out with some lovely animals in my free time. Growing up I have always had animals but primarily dogs so I have a strong background in dog behaviors and needs. My fiancé, Ellen, is also available to support during the week days that wouldn’t be optimal for me to leave during my teaching days. This gives a lot more availability! She has always grown up with cats and dogs and would love to help support to give them the best care. Often we both come for meet and greets/visits to ensure we give the best care 😊 I look forward to care for your animal in anyway I can. Please let me know of any questions as I hope to be flexible with any needs. During the week I am gone roughly 8am-4pm but will be home during the weekend times. During the summer months I am available throughout the day times. My fiancé is a nurse and works 3 days out of the week. The schedule is flexible but sporadic. I love to get out for long walks and get as much movement as possible. If that’s for your animal I’d love to get them out! If not I am cautious about the animals typical areas and what works best for them.

About: I’ve taken care of many animals throughout my life. I trained my dogs back at home. I’ve worked with very large breeds and small breeds. I also have two cats of my own who are very loved I’m currently pursuing my Masters degree at WCU. Over the summer I have a ton of free time that I love to fill with taking care of animals. I will treat your pets with the upmost kindness and love as I do my own. I will follow all routines you do to make sure your babies don’t get stressed while your away.

About: I've had about 3 years of experience doing pet sitting professionally, but I've been taking care of pets since childhood. I've mainly done work for neighbors or friends, and I've taken care of dogs big and small as well as cats. I've cared for pets who've had various conditions such as arthritis, cataracts, blindess, and deafness, and have experience administering time-sensitive medicine. Also, although I have not taken the steps to get certified as a trainer, I have helped assist a dog trainer many times and have experience in caring for "rowdy" or hyperactive pets. I'm currently a student, but have plenty of time available throughout the day! My schedule is most open during the morning (8am-10am), afternoon (2pm-5pm) and late night hours (8pm-11pm). But, if your pet needs care midday or during the evenings, I can be flexible and adjust accordingly. I make sure to treat your pets as if they were my own. I save any and all written or spoken instructions from owners to make sure pets are given care they are comfortable with and used to. When doing drop-ins, feeding and playing with pets are included. If requested I can also bathe and administer medicine to pets. When walking dogs, I spend 30-60 minutes with them depending on the pet and owner's requests and can walk them as many times a day as needed (within reason). Also, I can accomodate any personal preferences in regards to putting pets in crates, letting them in the backyard, etc. I'll also send picture updates of your pet after I'm done with every visit. I'm always open to questions and requests!

Friends, neighbors, and family regularly trust me to pet sit, walk, feed, and play with their pets. I have a 10-month-old mini long-haired dachshund named Tucker, so I understand puppy energy, training consistency, and daily routines.
