About: Hi! We’re an animal-loving family with room to roam and a whole lot of heart. We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. We also have a sweet baby, Cooper, who is growing up learning to gently and respectfully love animals. Our home is calm, structured, and family-oriented. In addition to boarding, we also offer drop-in visits for pets who are happiest staying in their own home. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, walks, medication, or just some companionship and playtime, we’re happy to help. I’m currently a stay at home parent so my schedule is wide open for both days and nights to take on boarding or do visits to other homes. My home has a large fenced area where our three dogs can roam and exercise. I am very reliable and respectful when it comes to entering others’ homes while taking care of their pets.
“Thank you so much for walking the dogs! Alison walkes and handled our 2 playful dogs and sent us updates! She was also on time and followed the instructions for treats! We will contact her again when we visit Asheville again! ?”

“Tina was extremely communicative and I was kept up to date throughout the entire walk. I love that she filled out the rover card and sent pics as well. It is helpful for a dog momma that struggles to leave him to see his happy face and know he’s doing well! Thanks Tina!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a trustworthy retired RN who is looking to spoil your dogs while you are away. I am a non-smoker and very active with walking/hikes and pickleball. I am retired now for 5 years and spend my day actively with hike/bikes/pickleball to name a few activities. About: Are you looking for some love and fun for your girl or boy while their loved one is away ! Can’t wait to see what this brings and the connections I am able to make ! I’m a full-time worker who recently moved to the mountains of Western North Carolina. While I do have a busy schedule during the week, I truly enjoy spending my free time caring for animals and exploring all that the area has to offer. I previously spent time dog sitting in the Atlanta area and had a wonderful experience building relationships with both pets and their owners. If you have a dog or other animal that needs care, I’d love to help! I’m available for house sitting on Saturdays and Sundays, and I can begin house-sitting stays after 5:00 PM on Fridays. My goal is to make sure your pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Feel free to reach out with any questions—I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Now that I’m settled in WNC, I’m excited to continue providing dependable and loving care for local pets. With some local parks near it has been fun exploring.
About: I have a passion for animals. I worked in a pet store for over year, enjoying being able to help pet owners find what their pets need. It’s rewarding to be able to help pet parents and pets get relief. Animals are giving and loving and I enjoy them so much. I have nine guinea pigs myself (which won’t effect my availability:)) and they are the absolute light of my life. Your pets will get so much love and care with me as your sitter. I love all animals, and I am comfortable with most dog sizes. I grew up with small dogs, rodents, and lizards. I understand that dogs need time outside for relieving themselves as well as exercise and fresh air. Every other kind of pet is also just as amazing, and I’d love to love and care for them too! I will be spending all the time I have with your pet. I wake up early to take care of them and I come home immediately after work to spend the evening with your pet. My job starts early, so I will have most of the afternoon and all evening to spend with them. I spend as much time as possible with your pet. I work full time, but make it a priority to be consistent so your pet knows what to expect from me and feels safe.

I have plenty of time to give your dog the attention and exercise they need throughout the day. It's important that any dog I care for is comfortable around children, as my little one will often be part of our walks and playtime. Your pet will be in a loving, active environment where they’re treated like family. In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize a routine that keeps pets happy, healthy, and well-cared for. I ensure pets are fed regularly, with my puppy receiving three meals a day. I’m diligent about providing frequent potty breaks, especially after naps, meals, and playtimes. I engage pets in stimulating exercise that is both fun and beneficial, like retrieving and tug of war, which my puppy loves. I also create a safe and comfortable space for them to rest, such as a crate for my puppy. Throughout the day, I incorporate short obedience training sessions to reinforce good behavior and keep their minds active.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Suttontown. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Suttontown. On Rover:
- 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
