“James was friendly and helpful. He sent us pictures of our dogs and was very responsive to all our questions/phone calls. We hope to board our dogs with him again. Highly recommend !!”

“Kaitlyn and her family were so wonderful to our dog, Cocoa! They treated her like their own and she was so spoiled staying with them! Kaitlyn sent several photo updates throughout each day! She took Cocoa on multiple daily walks, made sure she ate her food, gave her a new toy, and even sent her home with a new bandana! It was purr-fect!”

“This was my pup Luna’s first time being boarded and Nancy went above and beyond all my expectations of what I thought pet boarding can be. She was able to accommodate Lunas specific needs, and put my mind at ease by keeping me present throughout her stay with pictures and updates on how Luna was adjusting without me. Nancy’s patience, care and love she provided to Luna was very evident when I picked her up. I would trust Nancy to take care of Luna again in a heartbeat. If you’re ever considering boarding your baby, I couldn’t recommend Nancy enough! 10/10”

“I was a little nervous about leaving Bella with people I hadn't met but I was thrilled with the way Katie walked me through it. Bella was happy and I could tell they took care of her like family! They will be my first choice always! Thank you Katie and Jeremy!”

“Emily and her family took great care of D-Rex and were very flexible. They sent us a lot of pictures and kept us updated. So glad we found them in such short notice and they were able to accommodate us.”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“I cannot recommend Kali for you enough! SHE IS A GEM! My first time sitting my dog was a terrible experience and I was terrified to sit him again but a family emergency popped up and I came across her profile. Her house is clean and she was so nice during the meet and greet, my dog Smokie adores her. Not only did she go over plans on what to do with Smokie while we were away but wrote down a detailed list of everything we told her which sits out in her home in case an emergency happened on her end that anyone coming to watch her own dogs and our dog would know exactly what he needed. She also provided us with all of her emergency contacts so we knew anyone who may be in her home. She also has close contact with the vets in the area if something should happen with our pet. She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”

“Maria and Jose took great care of our girl. They instantly made us feel comfortable and asked great questions to understand all her needs. They sent us tons of videos/pics throughout her stay which put us at ease knowing she was having a blast playing with their dogs and going on walks. I highly recommend them as they were great with our puppy.”

“Maria was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable leaving my sweet Joey overnight. Great communication and updates with photos throughout his stay. I would recommend Maria to care for your best friends and will definitely be back! Joey can be a handful and Maria made me feel that he was so welcome! Thank you!!”

“We are so impressed with our first time using Rover. Ann and Jaren were great, communicative with texts and pics. We highly recommend them and will use them again!”

“Autumn has watched my boys even before she came to Rover and I still wouldn’t trust them with anyone. My boys love her and her kiddos. So I’m a repeat befor Rover and will be a lifer with Autumn💙💙”

“Second adventure for Charlotte at their place and second great experience! I think Charlie would rather be here than home since she gets to romp around with so many friends and other happy doggos. If we go out of town, or if we just want to drop for doggy daycare, this is the place we will always check first!”

“Brittany went above and beyond! It was clear how much she cared about our cat. She played with him, fed him, gave him lots of love, and made sure he was safe while we were gone. We would 100% hire her to take care of our boy again :)”

“Ashleigh was a wonderful cat sitter. My husband and I could rest easy knowing our boys were in such good, loving hands. She was extremely communicative and her genuine care shined through her correspondence. Would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Allison, we can't thank you enough for taking care of "Kat" during our two week cruise to Alaska. We were initially hesitant in booking through Rover not knowing what to expect or how the pet sitters were screened to begin with. We're so glad we did and even more thankful that Kat had you to check in on her daily while we were gone. The love you have for animals is evident and again, we are extremely grateful that we could enjoy our vacation without having to worry about Kat. Oh, and anytime we got Internet service while in port, first thing we did was check out the "Rover Report." We got a kick out of them! For anyone reading this review, if you're looking for a pet caregiver that is reliable, caring and will love and spend time with your fur baby like her own, look no further and book with Allison. We will definitely be using her again! Erman & Roberta D.”

“Denise will do the extras just as I would. I like to have youtube play music & scenery in the background for everyone. Denise takes care of that and any other detail requests I have to make sure everyone is cozy when Im away. Meds, diet changes, etc. She can handle all of it. Glad I found her, has helped so much.”

“Lauren did an amazing job with our 3 cats! She came for a meet and greet beforehand and took time to meet each one individually. She followed all our instructions and provided prompt communication and updates regarding our kids. We would definitely hire her again!”

“Carolyn did a wonderful job caring for my two cats while I was away. They quickly adjusted to her visits and seemed very comfortable in her care. She followed all of my instructions closely and made sure everything was taken care of each day. I really appreciated her reliability and the peace of mind I had knowing my cats were in such good hands. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

“Brooklin did a wonderful job taking care of our cats while we were away. Each day we received pictures and little videos, and when we returned home our cats were happy and did not act as though they’d been socially neglected for days. We will not hesitate to have Brooklin care for them again in the future.”

“Now, that we have two babies. We are rest assured that they are well taken care. James is amazing. The boys were so excited to see him . They were happy and joyful when I picked them up. They were not anxious or stressed. I highly recommend James for a sitter.”

About: Hi! We’re an animal-loving family with room to roam and a whole lot of heart. We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. We also have a sweet baby, Cooper, who is growing up learning to gently and respectfully love animals. Our home is calm, structured, and family-oriented. In addition to boarding, we also offer drop-in visits for pets who are happiest staying in their own home. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, walks, medication, or just some companionship and playtime, we’re happy to help. I’m currently a stay at home parent so my schedule is wide open for both days and nights to take on boarding or do visits to other homes. My home has a large fenced area where our three dogs can roam and exercise. I am very reliable and respectful when it comes to entering others’ homes while taking care of their pets.

I have experience in administering medication, and any special dietary needs. I have a two year old daughter, Laeton. She’s in daycare during the week periodically & My availability is pretty flexible. I look forward to meeting you & your fur babies soon 🤗🥰🐶🐾 I am a stay at home mom, looking to make some extra money, i have stepped out of working a full time job to be home with my two year old daughter because daycare is unfortunately unreliable so , I'm home about 80 percent of the time. About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a trustworthy retired RN who is looking to spoil your dogs while you are away. I am a non-smoker and very active with walking/hikes and pickleball. I am retired now for 5 years and spend my day actively with hike/bikes/pickleball to name a few activities. I am available most days with proper notice. I do not have a fenced yard but do have a 7-year-old dog named Dori who gets her exercise walking daily. If you pup likes fenced in yards caring for your dog would be better at your home.
About: My husband and I have both grown up with dogs. We recently lost our two dogs to cancer and had our first child within the past few months - it has been an emotional rollercoaster. We want our son to be around dogs, but are not ready to get one ourselves yet. This seems like a great way to earn extra money while also being able to love on dogs. I am home with our son every day (week days and weekends) so I am able to watch after dogs any day at any time. We enjoyed taking our dogs on walks in the neighborhood, hiking in the woods, and playing in the yard. We allowed our dogs on the couch and in the bed because they are family.
“First time boarding ever and I was fairly nervous about it but I could tell Amy did a great job with Bella. She was happy and all tired out when I picked her up. Would definitely book with Amy again!!!”

I make sure my home environment is always extremely pet-safe; no chemicals or dangerous chewable items are ever left out. I will exercise your pet daily, and will also provide training if you would like!

About: I’ve cared for animals in a wide range of environments, from farms on the Big Island of Hawaii to horses in Appalachia and North Florida. Over the years, I’ve helped care for dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals, (including caring for more than 30 pets in the Asheville area in one summer alone!) I’m dependable, grounded, and comfortable working independently. As a mother currently studying social work, I value calm communication, consistency, and creating a safe, relaxed environment for both pets and homes. I understand that every animal has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels, and I aim to provide attentive, trustworthy care that helps pets feel secure while their owners are away. I’m also happy to include plant watering and basic plant care during visits when needed. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m local to the Lake Junaluska and Waynesville area and have a flexible schedule, especially during the summer while school is out. I’m able to dedicate consistent time and attention to walks, drop-ins, feeding routines, and companionship throughout the day. Because I live nearby, commuting is easy for me, which helps me stay reliable and responsive for clients. I enjoy creating calm, steady environments for animals and genuinely value the trust involved in caring for someone’s pets and home. I currently provide care in clients’ homes so pets can remain comfortable in the environment they already know and trust. I understand how important consistency, routine, and familiarity are for animals while their owners are away. I aim to maintain a calm, clean, and dependable environment by carefully following feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and household preferences. I’m respectful of clients’ homes, communicative throughout each stay, and attentive to both pet safety and home security. My goal is always to help pets feel relaxed, cared for, and emotionally at ease while giving owners peace of mind that their home and animals are in responsible hands!

Please let me know of any questions as I hope to be flexible with any needs. During the week I am gone roughly 8am-4pm but will be home during the weekend times. If not I am cautious about the animals typical areas and what works best for them.

As a stay-at-home dad, I spend my days with my 4-year-old, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pets. We enjoy outdoor activities, so dog walking fits perfectly into our routine. I have plenty of time to give your dog the attention and exercise they need throughout the day. It's important that any dog I care for is comfortable around children, as my little one will often be part of our walks and playtime. Your pet will be in a loving, active environment where they’re treated like family. In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize a routine that keeps pets happy, healthy, and well-cared for. I ensure pets are fed regularly, with my puppy receiving three meals a day. I’m diligent about providing frequent potty breaks, especially after naps, meals, and playtimes. I engage pets in stimulating exercise that is both fun and beneficial, like retrieving and tug of war, which my puppy loves. I also create a safe and comfortable space for them to rest, such as a crate for my puppy. Throughout the day, I incorporate short obedience training sessions to reinforce good behavior and keep their minds active.
About: Since childhood I have taken care of our pet dogs. Tending to their needs and providing kindness to them is what I prioritize the most because I believe that is what animals need. I currently am available daily from 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday. I share a car with my mother, however, there is no conflict of schedule that cannot be worked between her and I. I am available for drop-in appointments as well as over-the-night. For personal pets I care for them according to a healthy schedule. I wake up early and so will my pets, and will feed my pets, refresh their water bowls, and let them out for a light stroll all within an hour of waking up. Throughout the day I check their water bowl-refresh it if needed- check their sleep space to make sure its clean, take them outside for short bits here and there, as well as play with them for at least 20 minutes so they can burn energy. The daily night routine is the same as the morning routine.
About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs ever since I can remember. I’m very keen on the comfort of your pet and respecting their boundaries. My two young girls are with their dad every other week; I only accept bookings on the weeks I don’t have my girls. I promise to love your fur baby just like my own and have clear and consistent communication while paying attention to any special needs your pet might have. I’m currently working from home as a freelance translator, so I have plenty of time to help you achieve your pet care needs. I also have a part time job a few days a week. I live right up the road from a local park with lots of open grass; I’m on a fitness journey so I will happily run and play with your pet as much as needed. I have a young cat that can keep your pet company and if need be, I can always enclose him in my room.

“James was friendly and helpful. He sent us pictures of our dogs and was very responsive to all our questions/phone calls. We hope to board our dogs with him again. Highly recommend !!”

“11/10 would recommend nicole!! she is super sweet and treats your pets as if they are one of her own. she is quick to respond and sent lots of pictures and updates! our dog riley ended up becoming little besties with her daughter haha we needed to change our drop off/pick up times after booking and she was flexible with us which was very much appreciated. the two nights they were under her care, i didn’t think twice that they weren’t in good hands. will definitely be booking with nicole again!! ☺️”

“Sharon is a loving and considerate companion that kept our elderly dog Kuma happy and healthy while we were away. Her wonderful attention to his daily needs was outstanding. Kuma enjoyed every minute of the warm and loving care Sharon gave to him everyday. The pictures and videos showed how he loved Sharon and how happy he was. Sharon would be an excellent pet sitter for your pets and we would highly recommend her services.”

“Sarah was extremely easy to work with and Jasper had a great time with her dog Jimmy and her family. Communication was excellent and Jasper loved his time at her home!”

“Caroline and her family were amazing dog sitters. My nervous little doggy was right at home there! Caroline was so responsive to all my initial questions, sent photos and updates daily, and really made me feel comfortable leaving my furry son at her house. Booking my next stay with her now!”

“Carrie G. does a WONDERFUL job! Our dog was having so much fun we don't think she wanted to leave. Her home and fenced in year is a very dog friendly and safe place. Our dog was treated like family.”

“Brody was an excellent choice for Pepper! We needed to keep her calm and limit her movement due to medical restrictions and we felt she was extremely safe in Brody’s care. He went above and beyond to ensure she was safe and comfortable and I would 100% bring any of my pets back to him in the future!!”
