“Angela is amazing! Our 2nd booking and couldn’t be happier! She takes great care of our boys & treats them like her own. We are so glad we found her and will definitely book again!”

“Thana & Subangi were wonderful! They treated my pets like one of their own. All pictures and videos sent throughout the 9 days showed happy, well taken care of doggies. Plenty of outdoor fun and extra care taken during meals. Dogs were given alot of attention. I am so pleased and will definitely leave my dogs in their care again!”

“Extremely happy with Sayak. We had left our dog away for 2 weeks for the first time and worried about how he would react but Sayak took very good care of him. He felt at home at Sayak's house. Sayak used to send daily photos and videos. He replied to my messages almost instantly. I will avail his services again most certainly in the future.”

“We can not thank Lupe enough for taking such great care of our babies. He kept us updated throughout our time away, which made us completely comfortable. We came home to happy, clean-smelling pups! Finding someone you can truly trust with your pups is priceless, and we are grateful to have found him!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and reliable pet caregiver with years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. Before fostering cats, I fostered dogs and I even had two “foster fails!” My two sweet pitties stole my heart and became permanent members of my family. Over the years, I’ve fostered numerous dogs and cats, including seniors, young babies, and shy cats. Fostering has taught me that every pet is unique, and I love taking the time to build trust, help them feel safe, and provide care that fits their individual personality and needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion while you’re away, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and patience. I’m also comfortable giving basic medications when needed, but my greatest strength is creating a safe, comfortable environment where pets can relax and be themselves. My professional background has strengthened my patience, reliability, and attention to detail, and I bring those qualities to every visit. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I’ll always treat them like they’re part of my own family. You can also count on regular photo and video updates, so you’ll always know your furry baby is happy and well cared for! I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I currently work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m able to provide dependable, attentive care while keeping your pet’s schedule consistent. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to learn their routine, respect their personality, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Whether in my home or yours, I provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, fresh food and water, and lots of love. I also keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they know their furry family member is happy and well cared for.
“Jason sent lots of pictures and videos during Gemma's stay. She seemed to be having the time of her life at "camp;" swimming in the in-ground pool, and making new friends. Jason seemed to be very attentive to Gemma. She's exhausted from her week of fun!”

“Stephanie is a wonderful sitter. She is so sweet and caring. She is very accommodating and flexible. She will truly love your pet as her own and make them feel at home! My dog Apollo had a great time with Stephanie, and it’s great to know that my dog was in good hands. I would definitely book Stephanie over and over again!”

“Kristina was amazing! This was our first time being away from our puppy since we got her. Piper had a blast and Kristina kept my two boys looped in with constant photos. Will definitely use Kristina again and have already recommended her to other dog owners that I know in the area.”

“Jaimie provided wonderful care to our two dogs, Penny and Hugo. She helped them to feel safe and comfortable (and got them through all the scary noises of a loud thunderstorm!) We all appreciated the regular photos and updates that Jaimie sent to us.”

“Stan and Barbara took such great care of our dog for the week. They shared daily updates and pictures which we really enjoyed. We will definitely contact them again when we need a dog sitter. Happy to have found them using Rover!”

“We were very pleasantly surprised by how professional, kind, and attentive this couple was while caring for our dogs. Since we’re not from the Northeast, we were a little nervous about leaving our pups in an unfamiliar area, but they immediately put our minds at ease. They were incredibly welcoming, communicative, and genuinely caring. We felt confident that our dogs were in great hands, and we’ll absolutely book with them again the next time we’re in the area. Absolutely recommend!”

About: I grew up caring for my family's black labs my entire life. I currently own two beautiful baby Shih Tzus, Tony & Guiness with my beautiful girlfriend. They add so much joy to our lives and are a big part of our growing family. I invest a lot of time and effort into training them daily, to build trust and give them the best lives possible. Taking care of the animals in my life is a passion of mine, and I treat every pet like it's my own. I'm currently making pet care my full time job. After years of training athletes, I'm opting for a career that is rewarding in different ways. I'm available any time Monday through Friday and occasionally a weekend if I'm around and if it's a good fit. My apartment complex has many areas to walk outside, with sidewalks and open grass areas where I walk my boys. There is also a spacious indoor dog park in the basement of my complex where I take them to play, especially on rainy days. We do training both indoors and on walks outside, individually and as a family. I also expose my dogs to as many experiences as possible, bringing them to community events, outdoor dining, and social gatherings. Our family does not believe in leaving pets home alone all day every day, and want to give them as much stimulation and social interaction as possible.
“Bonnie and her wonderful family took great care of our Leo while we were on vacation. They followed his usual routine to ensure he was comfortable in a new setting. It took Leo a few days to adjust but after that he was his usual playful and relaxed self with them. Bonnie also provided timely updates and pictures of Leo so we had no worries while we were away. We would happily have them take care of Leo again!”

“Once again Emily has taken great care of our baby! My dog was happy, relaxed and clean when I brought him home, which really shows how comfortable and safe he felt with her. Thank you!!”

“Samantha was great. Very attentive to our dog and his needs and provided regular updates. Her dog cocoa was also very sweet. Would recommend to anyone in the area”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
