About: Dogs have been a part of our lives ever since we were young kids. We were constantly caring for our family's pets and helping out wherever needed. We now have 3 amazing pups who we spend time caring for and making sure they lead fulfilling lives. Jamie also has about a year of experience working at an animal shelter where she cared for dogs and cats of different ages and temperaments. We both work full time. At least one of us is home outside of the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm. Dogs are crated during this time but are walked in the morning and in the afternoon. There is plenty of time for exercise and play time during the evenings and on the weekends. We have plenty of space in our home to welcome your beloved pet to a safe and nurturing environment. We have about a half-acre of land and a back yard that is entirely fenced in. We can accommodate all kinds of pets depending on their needs.

About: I grew up with pugs, and for the past 17 years I have had three foster fail pitbulls and multiple fosters that have gone on to loving homes. I have rescued three Mama pitbulls from terrible breeding situations, and their rehabilitation was a testament to my love. I have taken on personally multiple boarding dogs through friends reccomendations, and now that I have an empty nest, I am ready to share my home with your loved ones. I currently work only part time, so I will be here to spend a lot of time in the home caring for my boarding pets. My household has no fenced in yard, but I can give multiple walks per day, as I am a very active person. There are multiple adults and children in the home, so your fur babies will be getting A LOT of love. :) I live in a safe neighborhood and a safe neighborhood in Wethersfield, and will be home frequently to provide a high level of care for your beloved pet.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and just recently welcomed two cats into my family. I have been babysitting and nannying for as long as I can remember which would often lead to taking care of their four legged family members as well. I’ve assisted in potty training and with my own pets helped apply and give medications. I am someone who is reliable and trustworthy. I know how much my pets mean to me and have always treated any animals in my care as if they were my own. Right now I am off for the summer and because I work in a school am off on holidays and weekends. Once school starts again in August a typical work day is 7am-3pm. Throughout my years of working with families came a lot of house sitting and pet sitting for them and their friends. I am always respect of other peoples homes and am more than happy to take in mail/packages and take care of plants. I will always take care of your pets like they are my own. I am reliable and communicative.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and was taking care of my dogs since I can remember! I also was a routine pet sitter for a couple families in my home town and it is my favorite thing to do. Since moving away, seeing and getting to say hi to any dogs always brightens my day so I’d love to help out and get to know your pup! I’ve cared for and pet sit for anywhere from very young puppies to seniors. I love them all! None too big or small. I’m working part time so I have plenty of time for your pups. Occasionally during the week I work evenings but I have lots of availability throughout the week and weekends! I don’t have any pets in my apartment, but I’ve got a good bit of space and I’m right by the park to take them out for walks and have some outside time!

About: Hi! I love animals and have years of experience caring for pets. My very first job was walking my neighbor's dog every day after school throughout middle and high school. Since then, I've trained my own dog, regularly pet sat for neighbors, and have volunteered and advocated for animal welfare. One of my favorite activities is animal yoga—I’ve been to both puppy yoga and goat yoga! I'm currently starting medical school, and while my career is focused on caring for people, I've always had a passion for caring for animals. You can count on me to be responsible, attentive, and patient. I'll treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family members, and I'd love the opportunity to give you that peace of mind. I'm currently in my gap year before starting medical school, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I also work part-time at a restaurant, which gives me flexibility during the day. I love spending time outside, so dog walks and outdoor play are something I genuinely enjoy. Caring for pets is the perfect way for me to spend my free time while helping owners. I always do my best to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel comfortable while you're away. I'm experienced with walking dogs, feeding, refilling water, crating when needed. At home, my dog enjoys daily walks and time playing in our fenced-in yard, so I understand how important exercise is. I will always make sure your pets get the love and care they need. I am also happy to keep you updated with photos and messages.

About: I’ve been taking care of my own pets for my whole life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and reptiles. I have a real love for animals! For the past 3 years I have been trusted to watch family and friends’ dogs. I’m a true lover of all animals, especially dogs! I’m currently in college to find my dream job with animals, and would love to have more experience working with them. My goal is to hopefully make a career out of caring for animals and giving them the love they all deserve. I’m currently taking online college classes, with a lot of flexibility, so just let me know what you need and I’ll let you know if I’m available! I will do anything that is in your pet’s best interest. I’m here to keep them comfortable and happy!! Wether it includes walking them when they need, taking them outside to play/use the bathroom, feeding them on their schedule, crating them if needed, or simply giving them pets, snuggles, and playtime!

About: Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. From a young age, I naturally took on the responsibility of helping care for my family’s dogs, making sure they were fed, exercised, groomed, and given plenty of attention and affection. Providing a safe, loving, and structured environment has always been important to me. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments, including administering medication, basic grooming, and supporting rescue and rehoming efforts. I’ve personally rescued several animals and understand the patience, compassion, and consistency they need to feel secure and happy. I joined Rover because working with animals truly brings me joy. You can trust that your pet will be treated like family and cared for with the same love, responsibility, and attention I give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m home full-time caring for my baby and my own dogs. Being home throughout the day allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m able to follow your pet’s routine closely and make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and never left alone for long periods. With a flexible schedule and a calm home environment, I can give each pet the time, care, and companionship they deserve. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment with close supervision at all times. I follow each pet’s routine carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions or medications, to help them feel secure and stress-free. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and safe space to relax or play. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their normal routine to keep things familiar and comfortable. I treat every pet and home with the same care and responsibility as I would my own, so owners can feel confident their pets are in safe, loving hands.

Laura is amazing. She was a godsend when I was visiting CT and needed help with the dogs. Great walker and wonderful with the dogs care. When we had a potty accident she not only helped but also brought chicken, pumpkin and rice for my fur babies to help him get over his sick tummy. Can't beat her attention or ability to handle multiple dogs at once.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
