Karlena is great, I can tell because the dogs went crazy when they saw her. Karlena is prompt and communicates well. I just moved here, and she is making the dogs feel super comfortable during the day when I'm at work and that is a huge weight off of my shoulder. She is a sweet young lady and I'm glad she wanted to walk Hanry & Jazzy. Thank you Karlena. :)

Michelle is an absolute gem of a dog walker! From the moment she met my Guster, I knew we were in good hands. Her genuine love for animals is clear in everything she does — from the way she greets Gussy with enthusiasm each visit, to the thoughtful updates and photos she sends after every walk. Michelle is dependable, professional, and truly treats Guster like her own. My dog lights up when she sees Michelle, and I have total peace of mind knowing hes being cared for with such kindness and attention. Rain or shine, Michelle always shows up with a smile and ensures my biy gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and love. Finding someone you can trust to care for your animal as you do is no small thing, and I’m incredibly grateful to have found Michelle. If you’re looking for someone who’s reliable, caring, and simply amazing with dogs — look no further. Michelle is the best!

About: Hi! My name is Douglas, Doug for short. Currently a proud papa to a golden lab named Sunny, and a grey longhair cat named Remy. My best friend is a pug/chihuahua mix named Taz. I also had an old man chihuahua named Finn, and I’ll forever miss him. I feel like I speak dog, I know how to tailor my personality to meet the needs of any dog. Cliche to say but I am better with animals than with people. I am responsible, gentle, caring, and a big rule follower. I have pretty open availability throughout the week so I have lots of time to hang out with your dogs! Let me know what you need and I should be able to make it work! I have experience with crate training my dog so I am comfortable playing with your dog in the house or yard, and switching them to their crate if needed.

About: I have had dogs for 20 years. I have had 3 smaller dogs in the past (14-25 pounds). 2 were pug/beagle mixes and 1 was a Boston terrier/beagle mix. I currently have a bigger dog (83 pounds) who is a German Shepard/Australian Shepard/Rottweiler mix. I also had a cat growing up for 8 years. I love to spend time with animals going on walks, playing with them and making sure they are well taken care of. I have experience with puppies, adolescent and senior dogs. I can’t wait to meet your pet and be there to help whenever you need! I’m currently a stay at home mom and am at home most days. I have 2 school aged children and I have flexibility and availability in my daily schedule. I am open to helping out with any and all needs for your pet. I can come to your home and care for your pet based on what you specify your pet needs and your preference's. I am willing to do dog walking, playing with dogs or cats, and the general needs such as feeding and ensuring they have clean, fresh water. I will take care of your pet with the same love I show my own pet.

Brittany is INCREDIBLE! I have a very energetic, high strung, unneutered shepherd who is not the easiest dog to find a walker for. He absolutely loves Brittany and she goes above and beyond for him constantly. She is experienced with shepherds, reactive dogs, and high energy breeds and I feel very comfortable having her care for my dog. She always goes the extra mile by giving him fresh water, working on training with him to support what I’m working on with him, and is firm but loving with him. She handles him so well and he absolutely adores her. I can’t recommend her enough! Brittany has been walking my dog for months, is consistently reliable, has great availability, and excellent communication. She is so trustworthy and a pleasure to work with!

About: I have had dogs of all sizes in my life-from mastiff to dachshund. From puppy to senior. I have plenty of experience administering medicine, giving baths and caring for pets. I work from home and am available to take care of your pet(s) after 12pm. On the weekends, I am pretty open to take care of your pet whenever you need so long as I am not out of town. I live in a townhouse complex so it would be best if I came to take care of the pet at your home. There is also a fenced in dog park just down the street from my house that I would plan on frequenting so long as you're comfortable with me taking your dog there.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with this dog sitter and walker. She has an incredibly calm, reassuring presence, and my dog absolutely adores her. I was honestly shocked to see my very high-drive pup settle down enough to relax and even nap during a short visit, something that almost never happens. It’s clear she has a special way with dogs and creates a sense of comfort and trust right away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone patient, caring, and truly in tune with their dog’s needs.

About: Boarding for turtles only 🐢 Turtle boarding is available due to their contained habitat and can be booked under “cat”. It’s limited and offered on a case-by-case basis to ensure proper care. I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have two dogs of my own, a yellow 8 year old lab named Odin and Ari, my sassy 4 year old husky shepherd. I’ve also fostered an 8 month old husky named Nala, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m familiar with medication administration, special needs, and senior care, and I genuinely love creating a calm, safe space for your pet to feel seen, comfortable, and cared for. I’m comfortable dispensing oral medications and injections, and I previously worked as a pharmacy technician for eight years, where I prepared IV drips and administered vaccines. Rabbit Care 🐇 In addition to dogs and cats, I also offer care for rabbits and understand the importance of gentle handling, consistent routines, and a calm environment. Rabbit care can be booked under “cat”. I live close by, and i'm available on holidays, weekends, evenings, and early mornings during the week with a twenty four hour notice. I’m also available for emergency drop ins during the week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, and anytime on the weekend. Since I already balance caring for my own dogs with work and school, welcoming your pet into that rhythm is something I’m very comfortable with. I don’t offer pet boarding with the exception of turtles, but I’m always happy to care for your pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable. I stick to your routine and treat your space with the same respect as my own. I’m mindful about feeding, medications, and safety, and check in with updates so you’re never left wondering how things are going.

Renee was so good with my dog Opal. I needed a walker while I was out of town, as my roommate can handle feedings but can't give Opal the exercise she needs, and Renee was amazing! She was prompt with her responses while booking, and Opal loved her immediately when they met. She gave my dog lots of love & good exercise, and it's clear she really loves dogs & cares a lot about them.

About: I have had a love for animals since I was a kid and in turn my teens share the same affection for dogs. We have raised our cockapoo as a pup who is now 8 years old. He has been crate trained and uses bells to signal when he needs to use the bathroom. We have a lot of energy and love to give and would like the opportunity to care for your pet! I currently have the summer off and I am available all day for your pets needs. The only time I may be out would be to go grocery shopping or drop off and pick up my tweens for sports. I have a fenced in back yard and a 4 year old friendly cockapoo who loves to play with other dogs. I am also willing to crate your dog if needed or let them roam my home freely.

This was a last minute request. I had to go away for a full day. Britney is so lovely and kind. She recently started walking my 57 pound dog, Sitka, for an hour twice a week. When she came for a meet and greet she asked a lot of great questions so she could provide the best care for him. He is quite strong (and strong-willed), and I have genuine peace of mind having a Rover who worked as a vet tech and knowing that they can handle my pet. She sends a lot of fun pictures and leaves a detailed note of what they did together that day and how he behaved. She gives him lots of affection, and he is always happy when I get home to him on days she cared for him. If a stressful situation were to arise while he was in her care, I completely trust that she would make the right decision for him. I am confident that he is happy, safe, and getting the exercise he needs when he is in her care. I definitely recommend Britney, she is wonderful and cares about both the pets and the pet parents.

We had our German Shepherd Roofus, walked for the first time today, and it went wonderfully! Roofus can be a strong, energetic dog, but Kelly handled him with confidence from the start. She took the time to get to know him, made sure he felt comfortable, and returned with a happy, relaxed pup. We could tell Roofus enjoyed his walk — tail wagging, tongue out, and all smiles. We’re so glad to have found someone so reliable and caring. Highly recommend Kelly!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
