“Sherri has been the perfect fit for Sophie. She instantly bonded with her. Sherri’s is always on time, takes lots of great pictures and lets me know if Sophie is having a good day or she can tell if she is not herself. Great communication, respectful and sweet.”

About: Pets are my life, and I give them my full care and attention when in their presence. In previous experiences, I have cleaned litter boxes, administered medications, taken long walks (I'm an avid runner and can even take your dog for a run if they like it!), fed both wet and dry food, and dealt with anxious pets. I am a fairly free agent during breaks from college and can schedule my day around when your pet needs a walk or food! I can come as early as 7am and as late as 9pm! I am very respectful when it comes to coming over and caring for your pets. If you give me clear instructions where food and leash and/or medicine is I will do my duties, hang out with your pet for a while (and send you a cute pic), and leave everything else the way it was. I do not offer to have pets stay at my house.
“She’s great. I had an emergency and Grace stepped up and came through on very short notice. It really eased my mind that during a crisis, my animals were not another thing I needed to worry about.”

“Laura was super professional and very accommodating for my last minute dog walking request. She gave us pictures and we got to see the timings of the walk and where they went. Will definitely book with Laura again!”

About: Currently a veterinary assistant at veterinary hospital and I’m an animal science major! Cared for and love animals all my life and looking for extra things to do for the summer with my free time💗 I work part time as Veterinary Assistant and I intern at a zoo as well! I see and care for a multitude of different species of animals everyday, while also owning my own dog! I’m mostly free nights and I have a couple days a week off. I’m very familiar with giving meds to animals, as well as catering to whatever needs they may have! just had surgery? I know how to care for them! I don’t mind going on long walks, or playing outside for long periods of time. If you have specific things in your routine you would like me to do with your pets, please let me know!
“Amanda was so great with our dog, Emmie. She communicated from the minute she arrived, took pictures while on the walk and made sure our dog was safe and happy. We will definitely be booking with Amanda again!”

“Jill is great! She showed our pup so much love and care. On our second booking with her she was able to help us in a pinch and took our dog for a walk with little notice on our end. Will definitely be repeat customers of Jill’s! She’s very trustworthy and dependable!”

About: Hi! I’m so happy you’re here! 🐾 • I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and caring for dogs is something that genuinely brings me joy. Whether your pup is playful and high-energy or more relaxed and cuddly, I take the time to understand their personality and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. 🫂 • I offer in-home boarding, which means your dog will be staying in a calm, clean, and loving environment — not a kennel. I keep my bookings limited so I can give each dog the attention they deserve, including walks, playtime, and plenty of affection throughout the day. 🫶🏾🤍 • I have experience with a variety of breeds, including high-energy dogs, and I’m happy to adjust to your dog’s routine to keep things as consistent as possible. Your pet’s safety and happiness are always my top priority. 😊 • You can expect regular updates, photos, and open communication so you always feel connected and at ease while you’re away. 🙏🏾 • If your dog has any special needs, routines, or preferences, just let me know — I’m more than happy to accommodate! • I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! 🐶💛 I am a business owner - so my schedule is on my terms! I have a very flexible schedule, so definitely reach out with any dates you have in mind, and I’m sure we can work it out! I do my best to follow the animals lead, while also keeping in mind of producing what is best for their overall safety! :) We love to have fun over here!
“We are so happy to have found Lindsay! She is super responsive and fantastic with our super energetic Lab. Our dog has a new BFF in Lindsay and we are so grateful for her walks!”

“Nicole is amazing with Cooper! She is very patient, sweet, and understanding of Cooper’s quirks. I can tell Cooper already loves her. Not only is she great with Cooper, but she is fantastic with communicating with me via texts and providing many photos and videos of Cooper during their walks. I highly recommend Nicole to anyone!”

“Elysse was excellent with our dog, Maple and she took really good care of her on a really hot day. Many thanks to her! And if you are looking for someone who is both knowledgeable and caring look no further!”

“Autumn has been great. She always leaves such fun photos, comments, and videos. My dog truly seems to enjoy her company and gets some quality time out while I am away. Thank you for all the care, Autumn.”
About: I volunteered so much the guy who ran the shelter told me I need more human friends 😅😂 I jog twice a day, once in the morning and right before sunset, and would love to bring your furry friend along with me! I don’t have my own pets so your dog will have all of my attention. Volunteering at an animal shelter for 5 years taught me so much about different breeds. The main thing I learned is that every dog is just as unique as every human. Their like kids, you need to earn their trust and when you do it’s super rewarding. Message me with ANY questions I work from home and have a super flexible schedule. So our required meet and greet can be at your earliest convenience and will only take 5-15 minutes.

About: I have taken care of my two cats on a daily basis that includes feeding them, cleaning the litter box, playing, and quality time. I’ve also taken care of anxious pets who need a little more attention and care. I can tailor my sitting experience to each pets specific needs! I am free during the summer and winter while on break from college. I can schedule my day around visits and can come as early as 7:30 am and as late as 9:30 pm I am very respectful when I come over to your house. If there are clear instructions where the leash and food are then I will do as instructed. I also will send pics of your pet(s) during my visits and leave everything the way it is. I do not offer pets to stay at my home.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Glastonbury Center. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glastonbury Center. On Rover:
- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
