“She’s great. I had an emergency and Grace stepped up and came through on very short notice. It really eased my mind that during a crisis, my animals were not another thing I needed to worry about.”

“Laura was super professional and very accommodating for my last minute dog walking request. She gave us pictures and we got to see the timings of the walk and where they went. Will definitely book with Laura again!”

“Lindsay was amazing with our little rescue dog. She understands how to work with dogs that have experienced trauma with patience and understanding. She spent extra time with our fur baby to help with his anxiety. We would highly recommend her to any pet owner.”

“Priscilla is awesome. Our dog is very nervous with people and this is the fastest she has gotten comfortable with someone new. She takes great care of our dog and our dog always comes back happy after walks!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and just recently welcomed two cats into my family. I have been babysitting and nannying for as long as I can remember which would often lead to taking care of their four legged family members as well. I’ve assisted in potty training and with my own pets helped apply and give medications. I am someone who is reliable and trustworthy. I know how much my pets mean to me and have always treated any animals in my care as if they were my own. Right now I am off for the summer and because I work in a school am off on holidays and weekends. Once school starts again in August a typical work day is 7am-3pm. Throughout my years of working with families came a lot of house sitting and pet sitting for them and their friends. I am always respect of other peoples homes and am more than happy to take in mail/packages and take care of plants. I will always take care of your pets like they are my own. I am reliable and communicative.
“Karinna is professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable about my dogs breed and reassured me with her experience. Strong communication skills and I feel confident knowing she's taking care of my pup!”

“Amanda was so great with our dog, Emmie. She communicated from the minute she arrived, took pictures while on the walk and made sure our dog was safe and happy. We will definitely be booking with Amanda again!”

“One of the best! Updated me the whole time my doggie was on a walk and came with last minute notice. Will definitely be booking more walks!! Muffin was satisfied 😇”

About: I have experience with dogs, working at a doggy day care for about 2 years. I learned a lot of skills from that role, like patience, how to handle aggressive behavior and de escalating situations between dogs. I also did some grooming as well (baths & nails trims) and administered medications. I have a free schedule for the rest of the summer so I'll be available pretty much any time until late august. I’m available every morning and evening, except Sunday mornings but are available Sunday evenings and afternoons for dog walks. Morning times are open to your preference but I’d say about 7am-11am and in the afternoon-evening 12pm-6pm. I am also available for overnight stays for as many days as you need! I would make sure to understand your pets individual needs and clarify those things with You before sitting. I like to know what the schedule is so I can adjust accordingly. I'd make sure they are fed and walked and played with.
“Eleni is FANTASTIC! Her attention to details about my dog, Franklin, is amazing. She treats him like he’s her own dog and makes him feel extra love! I will always turn to her to take care of him!”

“Margaret is an exceptional service dog. She communicated effectively with me and diligently followed my instructions for my English bulldog, who is my daughter. Her performance was truly remarkable, and I will definitely use her again.”

“Sherri has been the perfect fit for Sophie. She instantly bonded with her. Sherri’s is always on time, takes lots of great pictures and lets me know if Sophie is having a good day or she can tell if she is not herself. Great communication, respectful and sweet.”

“Phoebe was absolutely amazing with my dog! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly genuinely cares about the animals she works with. She kept me updated with great notes and pictures, and I could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of every step of the way. It’s such a relief finding someone you can truly trust, and Phoebe exceeded expectations. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker — we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Elysse was excellent with our dog, Maple and she took really good care of her on a really hot day. Many thanks to her! And if you are looking for someone who is both knowledgeable and caring look no further!”

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
