About: Lifelong animal lover with 7+ years caring for my own 2 dogs, along trusted experience with friends and family’s pets. I make sure your pet feels loved, comfortable, and cared for at all times. I’m currently working part-time, so I have a lot of availability throughout the week. I love morning walks because they get me up to start my day while also being active. As well as mid-day and evening walks allow me to take a break from any tasks and get outside in the sun while having some fun! Whether I’m visiting your home or walking your pup, my goal is to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable. For walks, I make they get plenty of fresh air, exercise, a potty break, and time to sniff and explore while keeping a close eye. During home visits, I’ll refresh their water, feed them, give potty breaks and spend quality time. I’ll also follow any instructions you leave for me and always treat your home with respect.
“Jillian always took great care of my dog on his walks, held a consistent schedule and adapted well to weather to make sure he was comfortable and cared for. She communicates quickly and is always a joy to work with!”

About: I enjoy spending time both in and outdoors. I love getting to know pets and people alike! I spend a lot of time taking care of my own pet along with supporting my friends and families pets whenever they are away. I’m currently working part-time and on holiday from university. During the week I have mornings and most afternoons free to spend time caring for pets. Respecting both you and your pets space and time is my top priority. At my part-time empathy and understanding each persons individual needs is crucial; I impart these same principles with pet sitting

“In my first experience entrusting Hannah with the care and walking of my dog, I have an English bulldog that necessitates a stroller cooling vest and hot pavement shoes. Consequently, a considerable amount of preparation is involved in walking my dog. Hannah effectively communicates with me and provided exceptional care for my dog, Venus.”

“Amanda was so great with our dog, Emmie. She communicated from the minute she arrived, took pictures while on the walk and made sure our dog was safe and happy. We will definitely be booking with Amanda again!”

“Karinna is professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable about my dogs breed and reassured me with her experience. Strong communication skills and I feel confident knowing she's taking care of my pup!”

“I am so glad we found Vanessa!! She is amazing with our senior pup. We have been booking with her for walks weekly and she is super communicative and reliable, always sends sweet photos, and is extremely trustworthy. I don’t know what we would do without her!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and just recently welcomed two cats into my family. I have been babysitting and nannying for as long as I can remember which would often lead to taking care of their four legged family members as well. I’ve assisted in potty training and with my own pets helped apply and give medications. I am someone who is reliable and trustworthy. I know how much my pets mean to me and have always treated any animals in my care as if they were my own. Right now I am off for the summer and because I work in a school am off on holidays and weekends. Once school starts again in August a typical work day is 7am-3pm. Throughout my years of working with families came a lot of house sitting and pet sitting for them and their friends. I am always respect of other peoples homes and am more than happy to take in mail/packages and take care of plants. I will always take care of your pets like they are my own. I am reliable and communicative.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and was taking care of my dogs since I can remember! I also was a routine pet sitter for a couple families in my home town and it is my favorite thing to do. Since moving away, seeing and getting to say hi to any dogs always brightens my day so I’d love to help out and get to know your pup! I’ve cared for and pet sit for anywhere from very young puppies to seniors. I love them all! None too big or small. I’m working part time so I have plenty of time for your pups. Occasionally during the week I work evenings but I have lots of availability throughout the week and weekends! I don’t have any pets in my apartment, but I’ve got a good bit of space and I’m right by the park to take them out for walks and have some outside time!
“One of the best! Updated me the whole time my doggie was on a walk and came with last minute notice. Will definitely be booking more walks!! Muffin was satisfied 😇”

“Archie loved loved his time with Rebecca! She followed each instruction and walked and fed him as agreed upon! Archie can’t wait to have Rebecca sit for him again! 🐾”

About: I have four rescue dogs at home, and I truly understand the joy and challenges that come with caring for them. Since I'm studying online, my schedule is quite flexible, which allows me to balance my commitments. I'm looking for some extra cash to support my education, and I believe this opportunity is a perfect fit for me. Staying active is something I genuinely enjoy, and I’d love to combine that with my passion for caring for animals. I do school online therefore my schedule is very flexible, I can make further arrangements as needed. I am open to anything really don’t hesitate to ask! I have experience with both puppies and older dogs. I recognize how important it is for dog owners to feel that their pets are well cared for, especially since dogs are fully dependent on us.
About: I have experience with dogs, working at a doggy day care for about 2 years. I learned a lot of skills from that role, like patience, how to handle aggressive behavior and de escalating situations between dogs. I also did some grooming as well (baths & nails trims) and administered medications. I have a free schedule for the rest of the summer so I'll be available pretty much any time until late august. I’m available every morning and evening, except Sunday mornings but are available Sunday evenings and afternoons for dog walks. Morning times are open to your preference but I’d say about 7am-11am and in the afternoon-evening 12pm-6pm. I am also available for overnight stays for as many days as you need! I would make sure to understand your pets individual needs and clarify those things with You before sitting. I like to know what the schedule is so I can adjust accordingly. I'd make sure they are fed and walked and played with.
About: I hold a variety of experience with a number of different species- fish, cats, dogs, ferrets, rabbits and horses. I worked as a veterinarian assistant for 10 years and am confident in my ability to care for medical needs if asked. Flexible, work at home and children at daycare. Your schedule can be maintained. I am happy to abide by your requests and will communicate clearly on what was done. I will follow your strict recommendations in order to keep your pet safe, as well as provide my strict judgment. I will not hesitate to ask questions nor seek emergency care if needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
