About: I’ve been taking care of pets my whole life! I worked as a dog groomer and at a barn! I am very confident in reading body language, and I love working with your dog to acknowledge their strengths. You’re pet will always be respected and come first when I am around them. I will keep your dog happy and enriched while in my care ! I am 22 years old attending college and my only commitment right now is school, I go on daily walks and would love to bring your dog along with me! I will always monitor your pet and make sure they get enough outside time or if they are a couch potato then that is what we will do :) Regarding your house, I will make sure it stays tidy and your dogs will have plenty of enrichment. If requested, I can bring toys or treats or lick pads (all clean and disinfected)!

“Mike was kind, communicative, and enthusiastic about taking care of our cat. He went above and beyond watching him during the Christmas holiday! Would hire again and highly recommend.”

About: I've grown up with dogs of all ages. Currently the dog dad to a playful, rambunctious husky who gets two long walks or runs a day. I approach dog care with patience and dedication. Every dog deserves unconditional love and a unique level of attention - young or old - and I know first hand the importance of a steady consistent routine. Every morning my dog gets walked and fed, and every weekend she gets a visit to the beach and thorough wash and brush. One of the many gifts of pet ownership is the routine a dog requires. My day does not being until my dog and I get some exercise. Every day is capped by play at the park with her and her favorite ball. I have a fenced in yard, a large fenced in porch, and plenty of space in my home. My dog has an AirTag on her so if she ever were to get out of sight I know exactly where she is at all times. As for others, I like to keep them inside and in eyeshot until it's time to go out for the bathroom or get some exercise.

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life—dogs, cats, and especially puppies. I’ve personally trained two puppies from scratch, so I’m comfortable with the patience and consistency it takes to support a dog through their early years. I have a deep, intuitive connection with animals and often find I understand their energy and needs even better than people’s. I work for myself from home here in Santa Barbara, which means I have plenty of flexibility to give pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's daily walks, belly rubs, or just a calm, safe space, I approach every animal with genuine care and a tender heart. I’m also very active, so long walks and outdoor time are a highlight for both me and the dogs I care for. I work for myself and from home, so my schedule is very flexible. That means I can easily adapt to your pet’s needs—whether it’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. I’ll always make time to give your pet the attention and consistency they deserve. Every animal is unique, and I take the time to understand their individual needs, energy, and comfort level. I’ll meet your dog or cat where they’re at—whether that means extra space, extra snuggles, or gentle structure—with clear, compassionate boundaries to keep them safe and happy. If your pet is staying with me, they’ll be treated like one of my own. I live in a calm, pet-friendly apartment near Santa Barbara City College, with plenty of walkable paths and green spaces nearby. I love getting outside and take dogs on multiple long walks throughout the day. If your dog is social and has solid recall, I can bring them to local off-leash areas for supervised play and exploration. I have one small dog of my own—Pepper, a 3.5-year-old mixed breed who’s very friendly and well-socialized. I also have two young stepsons who are with us 50% of the time, so dogs staying in our home must be kid-friendly. The good news? Your dog will get plenty of love and attention from four caring humans. I’ve trained two of my own dogs from puppyhood and am confident managing a range of behaviors—from leash training to crate routines and basic obedience. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for senior pets or those with special needs. For cat care, I’m especially attuned to their unique rhythms and boundaries, and I provide calm, consistent care whether I’m visiting your home or caring for them during a stay. Whether I’m boarding, walking, or house sitting, your pet will be safe, respected, and genuinely cared for—just like family.

About: I've always taken to my friends' dogs and have been a big lover of dogs. Took my friends' dogs for walks in college when missing my own - and they absolutely love me! I'll be working part time during the week (M-F) but mostly free after working hours or on the weekends for walks, house sitting, and any of your other needs! I ensure I attend the pets' needs and spend time with the pups. Will always maintain sight of your pets and ensure to follow all specified care instructions

About: Hi! I’m Eve, a lifelong animal lover with over a decade of hands-on dog care experience, including fostering, volunteering, boarding, and raising my own sweet girl (an American Staffordshire Terrier) who recently passed at 11 years old. She was my best friend and my whole heart, and I understand how important your babies are to you. I promise that as soon as they step their paw into my door, they will be loved and spoiled just like they’re my own, whether that’s just for a a few hours or for a few weeks. Don’t worry though, I will give them back…really, promise. I work part-time and mostly from home, which means your dog will get lots of attention, companionship, and love throughout the day. I walk or hike about 5 miles daily and often head to a nearby off-leash dog park before sunset. If your pup enjoys being social and has solid recall, I’d be happy to bring them along. If they prefer quieter walks, I’ll tailor our outings to fit their comfort level. I’m comfortable with dogs of all breeds and personalities and always try to meet each one where they are, whether that means reinforcing basic manners, offering gentle structure, or simply providing a cozy, low-stress stay. I’m usually available most days (except Saturdays before 4 PM), and I always strive to create a safe, peaceful, and fun home environment for my guests. Happy, respectful pups get the full VIP experience. If your dog is calm, house-trained, and well-mannered, they’re welcome to enjoy full access to the home, relax in the fenced backyard, and join me on long daily walks or hikes to a nearby off-leash dog park. For dogs who are still learning or need a little extra guidance, whether it’s potty training, leash pulling, barking, jumping on furniture, or reactivity, I adjust their environment to set them up for success. That might mean using a cozy indoor playpen, taking shorter leashed walks instead of park trips, or using a crate/playpen when unsupervised, based on your preferences and your dog’s needs. I’m always happy to support training goals during their stay, from reinforcing basic manners to helping with leash skills or keeping four paws on the floor. Above all, I aim to create a peaceful, positive space where each pup feels safe, secure, and loved. ⸻ Your Pup’s Home Away From Home I do this because I genuinely love dogs and truly enjoy their company. I treat every pup like my own, and we spend a lot of time together, whether that’s lounging at home, exploring the neighborhood, or heading out on a hike. I only host one or two dogs at a time, and I’m very intentional about making sure each pup feels safe, relaxed, and happy. If I do accept a second dog, it’s because I believe they’ll be a great playmate and companion for the first pup I’ve already booked, never just to fill space, and usually just for a daycare visit. Home Amenities Include: • Fully fenced, dog-safe yard with grass, shade, an outdoor dog bed, and room to run or relax • A clean, climate-controlled home with plush beds, cozy blankets, and an extra-large cloth playpen for puppies needing unsupervised rest • Three baskets of toys in the living room, bedroom, and backyard - for enrichment and fun • A grooming brush and deshedding mitts - I’m happy to do light brushing if your pup enjoys it (with treats!) • No resident dogs — just a 3 oz cockatiel (always separated) and backyard chickens kept in their coop • Overnight guests sleep in their own plush bed or cozy crate next to mine depending on preference and needs

About: With seven years of experience and as a certified dog trainer I embrace working with all types of dogs, no matter height, weight, age, breed or behavior. I can use training techniques to teach dogs obedience and other desirable behaviors. Or we can just enjoy each other's company. I have basic study of canines and their learning theory. I’m an Animal Behavior College alumni, I have interned at The Best Friends Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, CA. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will be more than happy to answer them. A mentally and physically tired dog is very happy dog. My calendar is up to date so feel free to reach out if you have any last minute requests! I will do my best to accommodate. After playing catch, a long walk and some dinner your pup will be ready for bed. I’m happy to follow his usual sleeping arrangement whether its sleeping in a crate or on his bed to ensure he feels comfortable and safe.

Westside pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jeanette was a great find! She was easy to communicate with, polite and friendly. She did everything we asked of her, and was also happy to water our plant and collect mail whilst we were away. Everything was left clean and tidy and she obviously took pride in doing a good job! I would not hesitate to recommend her. And we would happily book her again! I don't know whether she eventually got snuggle time with our cats, but they seemed happy around her and quickly got over any uncertainty around a stranger.

Haley was super communicative from the beginning. My requested drop in times didn't fit her availability but she suggested new timing and worked it out with me. She was kind enough to drop in a couple of days before to meet the cats and me. She was always on time and sometimes stayed a little bit longer during drop ins just to hang with the cats. I highly recommend.
