“I am so grateful for Kim! Had last minute birthday plans and needed next day care. Kim was very sweet and took very good care of my fur babies! I definitely recommend and will be back!”

“Sheila was incredible with my active Jack Russell terrier. My pup is always a little nervous but he had no problem at all feeling comfortable with Sheila. Stellar sitter. Highly recommend five star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“very nice place to keep your dog with a lovely dog sitter and very nice family. Big yard with plenty of room for the dog to roam. The host is very communicative and responsible.”

“This was his very first time at an all-day daycare, and I was honestly pretty nervous leaving him. From the start, Shardae made everything feel so easy and reassuring. She sent thoughtful updates and photos throughout the day, and every single one showed a happy, relaxed pup who was clearly being cared for and loved. Seeing him playing and comfortable truly put my mind at ease. All I ever want is for my dog to feel safe, happy, and loved, and that is exactly what Shardae provided. Total success. I would absolutely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking.”

“I’m so happy that I met Marilyn, She is so professional and reliable. I needed someone to fill in for a couple days, Marilyn was available and pleasant. She is my new “go to” ! Thanks Marilyn”

About: I love puppies and they love me! I have a calming energy that dogs gravitate toward & the love they show me, always brightens my day. I've never owned my own dog, but I've had so many puppy nieces & nephews that I've cared for throughout life. In my photos you'll see the day a random Husky(?) showed up to my door & we just hung out all day. I'm comfortable around dogs of all kinds. Looking forward to connecting. My time is quite flexible! I work from home as a full time creative entrepreneur. I’m up early & take daily walks (sometimes multiple a day). I live by great parks near Inglewood & can be active with a playful pup. I live on the ground level of my apartment building & have space for a crate or bed for the dog's comfort. We get great sunlight & normally keep doors open to create indoor/outdoor feel. Im also open to dog sitting in your home & am wonderful with following care instructions.
About: Hi. My name is Chris, I'm a Los Angeles native, UCLA educated, energetic, trustworthy, young professional. I can say that i've always been an animal lover but never had the opportunity to express it until Itztli. Itztli is my first furball (4 year old Vizsla) and I keep him on his toes. He is has tons of energy that we expel by playing fetch, going to the dog park, and walking around the neighborhood. Itztli loves dogs and people. I love to walk and would love the opportunity to walk with your furry companion. I work from home and I'm extremely flexible as well. As a dog owner, I understand the need for constant reassurance and communication. I do whatever it takes to ensure that everyone is comfortable.
“Yvette was absolutely amazing with Bruce Lee and gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was incredibly accommodating, quick to respond, and consistently kept me updated with daily pictures and messages. You can immediately tell how much she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. One of my favorite parts was seeing how well Bruce bonded with her sweet dog, Roco. The two of them became best friends so quickly, and it made me so happy seeing them play together, relax side by side, and go on walks together. Yvette also gave Bruce lots of love and attention, including belly rubs and plenty of affection, which made him feel completely at home. I truly could not have asked for a better dog sitter. Every picture she sent showed Bruce looking happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Yvette to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, communicative, and attentive with their pets. Bruce already misses his new best friend Roco!”

I’m currently available to provide pet care to pets on most days.If my schedule ever changes I will be sure to let pet owners know. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and can’t imagine a day without them! I grew up with a loving family dog, which taught me the importance of patience, care, and understanding a pup’s unique personality. Now, as a young adult, I have my own sweet dog who is almost 2 years old. I know firsthand what it takes to keep them happy, safe, and well cared for. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or snuggles, I treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel loved and comfortable while you’re away! I work from home Monday through Friday, which means I’m available throughout the day to care for your pup. From playtime to outdoor walks, I’ll be there to keep them happy, active, and comfortable whenever they need me! Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, or just some extra belly rubs, I’m always nearby to meet their needs. I also live in a safe, pet-friendly residential area with plenty of sidewalks and green spaces, making walks both enjoyable and secure. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I’ll treat them like family while they’re in my care! My dog is also crate trained, potty trained and gentle.
About: I truly love animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I take time to understand their personality and routine so they always feel safe and happy. I have experience with both playful puppies and gentle senior dogs who need extra care. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or meds, I make sure they get the love and attention they deserve — and I always keep you updated with photos and messages! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine — I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals every day. I plan my schedule around walks, playtime, and check-ins so each pet gets my full attention. Whether it’s early morning potty breaks, afternoon walks, or evening cuddles, I make sure their needs always come first. Caring for pets isn’t just a job for me — it’s something I look forward to every single day. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I make sure to keep their routine consistent so they feel comfortable and secure. I follow feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions closely. I give them plenty of love, playtime, and attention while respecting your home and privacy. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a clean, safe, and cozy space where they can relax and feel at ease. I make sure they get daily exercise, cuddles, and lots of affection — just like they would with you. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, safe, and stress-free no matter where they are.
“Leo had an amazing time with Ashley and John's family! It was Leo's first time with a dogsitter and they were so patient. He made a friend with their kind dog and got a long walk too! Would definitely recommend!”

Maria was amazing! She accepted my last-minute booking, kept me updated with messages and photos, and took great care of Prince. She made the whole process so easy, and I could tell he was comfortable. I truly appreciate her kindness and would definitely book with her again! 🐾❤️

As always, they took amazing care of Letty. She got along great with their dog and looked completely comfortable and happy during her stay. When I picked her up, she was calm, relaxed, and clearly felt at home. In fact, she seemed so comfortable that she didn't seem worried at all when I arrived, which tells me she was receiving lots of love and attention. It's never easy leaving your dog with someone else, especially a senior dog, but I felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands. Letty came back happy, warm, and well cared for. I truly appreciate the kindness and attention they gave her and would absolutely trust them with her again. Thank you for taking such great care of my girl!

Emily was great! We did a meet and greet with her dog ahead of the first stay to make sure they could get along. She sent plenty of photos and videos throughout the day and most importantly, our dog seems like he had a great time hanging out with her dog and cat!

Grateful for Maritza!! She was able to accommodate my last min daycare request and did a wonderful job taking care of my red headed husky girl Koda. Maritza provided friendly messages and update pics throughout the day. I will definitely contact her for services again.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
