“Gracie had a great day with Mariana and her crew. Mariana welcomed her with open arms. Having the fenced back yard so accessible is perfect for letting dogs in and out as needed, but the house itself is comfy and warm -- just right for these snowy, cold winter days. I highly recommend Mariana as a loving dog care giver.”

“Steven and Claudia are awesome dog people. They kept in touch with pictures and a video and Mello was very happy when I picked him up. Would definitely book again!!”

“Always a pleasure letting Peanut stay with Brianna. Brianna is very accommodating with our schedule. Peanut is tired but super happy after a day. He likes Brianna a lot.”

“Zuly and her family took wonderful care of my poodle, Babette. She is a great communicator, and understands the needs of dogs from years of experience. Her home was neat, immaculate, and felt very welcoming. I look forward to using her services in the future!”

“Bruce is wonderful! I dropped Jojo off for her first day, and she was given lots of walks and attention and water. Came home tired but so happy. She’s an anxious dog, but Bruce was wonderful with her and made her feel at ease!”

“Mari is the best! She is very nice and polite. Our dog Casey loves to walk so she took her a very long walk and even took her to a nearby unleashed park. She sent us a bunch of photos and videos while she was taking care of Casey, so we could see how Casey was taken care of. Casey seemed to have a very comfortable and fun time with Mari. I really recommend her.”

“Noemi and her family are incredibly kind. My pup can be high energy so their large backyard is a great fit for him to run and have fun. Blue is also loved by their children and he absolutely loves them back. Your pup will be in great hands with them. They also send photos and updates throughout the day which is nice update to receive. Thank you for all you do!”

“Alexandra took great care of my dog and i appreciate the way she played with him and seemed to really enjoy him. She was punctual and polite and I immediately felt she was someone I could trust with my doggie. She was very accommodating and I would definitely recommend her to take care of any dog. Thank you Alexandra and Rover made it all so easy. I will be using it again!”

About: I have help take care of pups since I was young for neighbors and family. Five years ago I dog/house sat an amazing old pup for two months, walked another dog twice a week and was hooked! I love taking care of dogs, playing with them and getting to know their personalities. Over the years I have taken care of more than 20 cats and dogs. I’ve learned that all animals have their own distinct personalities and I try to adapt to their needs. I would love to help out with you animals while your away and make them feel at home. I’m a student now so I spend a lot of time at home studying and working so your animal will have a buddy to hang out with. I’m a student so my schedule is all over the place which allows me to adapt to your pets needs. I love going on walks in the morning and afternoon and can take them out throughout the day. I really adapt to how the animal is used to being treated and cared for so that they are as comfortable as possible because it can be jarring to have a new person in your home or taking care of you. I try to take cues from how they live in their own home, so if they sleep in their parents bed at home they do at my place but if their parents prefer them not to be on furniture they won’t be on furniture. I stay open and adaptable to their needs and their owners needs. I also make sure that the first day that we are together that we play, walk and spend time together so that they can warm up to me.
“What a great way to spend a day! My pup clearly had the best time with Cheyenne and her dogs (as evidenced by the photos), and it was a great peace of mind to know she was happy and well taken-care-of.”

About: Hello 👋🏻 Brandon here 😃 I have had pets my entire life 🐾 In the past, I co-parented a 10 years young Husky mix, Izzy, and two cats, Luna and Finn. I absolutely adore all animals and am super experienced in cat and dog care. I am active duty military with flexible schedule. Taking care of pets was a huge part of my daily routine before joining the service. I took Izzy out on daily walks and enriched the cats with some play time. I fed my pets twice a day but will happily adjust to your preferred schedule. I am happy to take puppies on multiple walks a day, including longer walks for puppies with higher energy (dogs of all ages are puppies to me :-) )

“Howard and his family are the best! Having moved to New Haven from NYC, I was worried that my dog would have a tough time forming a new routine. But Howard has made the adjustment painless. He treats my dog like family! And he is extremely responsive, flexible, and accommodating. I feel lucky to have found him.”

“Miranda and her husband tool great care of my Izzy and Julio, even on a last minute booking on a road trip for a wedding. We had a quick meet and greet the morning of and everyone got along great. They have a nice big backyard which is always a plus for us. Would recommend Miranda if around the New Haven area.”
About: What differentiates me from other pet care is that I stay true to the routine of the pets that are under my care. Dogs need a routine to feel calm and safe. Walks, sweets and feeding should be done at the usual time so that the dog feels comfortable and stress is avoided. I make sure to get details and a schedule from the owner to be able to fulfill them as much as possible. The pets' routines are my priority, I take them out to do their basic needs, I feed them, I take them for a walk, they hydrate, they take their nap, I give them lunch, I take them to do their needs, I take them for a walk, I give them their snack, I take them out to do their needs, I take them for a walk, and to sleep until the next day. I keep the area clean, I always change their water, I treat them as if they were my children and I treat the house as if it were my home
“Stephanie took wonderful care of Obie during his first-ever day of daycare. We got lots of sweet updates and he spent plenty of time outside. We are so grateful to Stephanie, who was flexible and easy going and clearly has a real love for and gift with dogs. We will be back!”

“Sabina was awesome. Our plans when visiting New Haven changed several times and Sabina was very accommodating to meet our needs. Plus, Sam is normally quite shy around new people but warmed quickly to Sabina.”

About: While I may be new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to caring for animals! I’ve looked after pets for family, friends, and neighbors over the years — including walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of cuddles. As well as my own pets, such as cats, dogs, turtles & guinea pigs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I always take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine. Whether your pup loves long walks or just wants someone to hang out with, I’m here to give them the love and attention they need while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. You can count on me to be punctual, responsible, and communicative — with plenty of updates and photos to keep you in the loop! My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved — just like they would with you. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the attention they deserve — whether that’s sticking to feeding times, giving medications, a sleepover or just spending time to keep them happy and comfortable. I always make it a priority to follow each pet’s routine closely, so they feel safe and at ease when their owners are away. When pets stay in my home, I do everything I can to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable — just like part of the family. I provide a clean, calm environment where they can relax, play, and stick to their normal routine. And when I care for pets in your home I treat it with respect, making sure everything stays clean and as I found it. Whether it’s giving medication, tidying up food/water bowls, or spending quality time with your pet, I handle each visit with care and attention. I know how important it is to stay connected while you’re away, so I provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind.
“My fur baby requires a great deal of attention due to some health challenges. This makes me very careful about who cares for him. I am so Blessed to have Liza taking care of my lil guy. I would highly recommend her to people that need puppy ? care”
