Pet care experience

Experienced Animal Caregiver

I have previously worked for non-profit animal rescues for over 10 years, fostering and caring for hundreds of dogs. I currently work from home full time and have a spacious home with plenty of toys for your pets to play with! While my dogs are good with other dogs, I am also able to keep animals who prefer not to be in the company of other dogs separated in my home when needed. I have cared for hospice animals, am comfortable administering medication, and love taking dogs for walks, hikes, or car trips depending on their needs.

Brianna was a wonderful host for my dog Bear! She clearly has a love for animals and was even willing to bring my dog on a car ride so he wouldn't be alone for 45 minutes. Would definitely bring my dog back again!

Brianna is my go-to for boarding. She’s super responsive and kind and always takes great care of my pup. My most recent trip I ended up being delayed by a hour on my pick up time due to travel issues and Brianna worked with me on that which I GREATLY appreciate. Thanks so much!!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard and three, fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered dogs of my own. All of my dogs are good with other dogs, however I am able to keep dogs separate from my own if needed with the use of gates/doors. All dogs will be able to go outside, go for walks, and have play time and snuggles as needed, even if they need to be kept separate from other dogs.

Pets

A typical day

When we get up in the morning the dogs go right out in the yard before getting breakfast by 8am (all dogs are fed in separate areas to avoid resource guarding). After breakfast we usually go for a 30-60 minute walk and then the dogs either play with their toys or nap while I work for a bit. Around 12 or 1 we either go for another walk or the dogs play in the backyard together. Dinner time is around 5-6 after which we either do a nice long walk, or backyard play time. In addition, the dogs get bathroom breaks throughout the day as needed, going out for the last time around 10/11pm. While that is our normal day to day schedule we also like to do special things a few times a week, none of which I will do with guest dogs without their parents permission. Some of those things are: trips to the large dog park in Southbury, walking down to the Sound, walking to The Green and getting lunch on a patio, going on hikes, or driving to my family’s home in Litchfield County where they have 5 fully fenced acres to run around and play.

I want to help your dog feel as comfortable as possible when their favorite people can’t be there. Please help me do this by letting me know as much as you can about your dog’s schedule, habits, likes and dislikes. Are they good with other dogs? Its ok if they aren’t, I can keep them comfortably separate from my dogs and still make sure they get a ton of attention, snuggles, and exercise. Do they need to be crated at night or when I’m not home? I have a large crate that will fit most dogs up to about 75/80lbs, but you are welcome to bring your own! Do they get fed 2 or 3x day? Do they need their activity level monitored or limited for any reason? Are they allowed on furniture/the bed? My dogs are, but I will respect your wishes with your dogs! Are they afraid of anything we might see on walks? Skateboards? Men with hats and beards? Kids? etc..
