About: Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for working and caring for animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family and friends pets over the years. I had a fur-child who was my world. He recently passed away In December. He was a 13 year old Siberian husky mix. I miss him terribly. I also have a dog treat business. I offer care for pets of all sizes, ages and breeds. This includes dogs, cats and birds. I will love and care for your pets as if they were my own. I look forward in meeting and caring for your pets. 🐾 I am working full- time but, will be available to walk your dog 3 times a day while they are staying with me. I will be playing with them often and giving them plenty of TLC. I will always check fences and gates before letting a dog outside and off the leash. I always double check and lock the doors behind me and I will always make sure pets have clean water and food and have had plenty of fun & exercise.

I provide pet sitting services in Cortlandt Manor, Peekskill, Mohegan Lake, Croton, Yorktown, Putnum, Montrose Jefferson Valley, and Briarcliff. NOTE: I board one pet at a time to ensure they get my 100% attention and love. I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I have experience sitting for large dogs, small dogs, puppies, older dogs and lots of cats. I am also very comfortable giving pills to dogs and some shots for diabetic cats. As an experienced pet sitter, my priority for every pet is to make sure they are safe and totally pampered. I take great pride in sending adorable pictures and notes to clients to ensure they have real time updates to see their pets are happy and comfortable with me. Pet owners can feel relaxed knowing their pet is in great care while they are away. If you would like to set up a free meet and greet, please contact me. I am available for meet and greets during weekdays after 4:00 pm and I am very flexible on weekends. I work remotely now and I am available for boarding during the week and weekends and can do drop in walks and visits both during the week and on weekends I require at least 72hrs notice for boarding. I only take in one pet at a time, so I can ensure they get my full attention and can feel comfortable and pampered in my home. I will walk dogs three times a day if needed and try to keep to their regular routines.

I had a last minute request and Jomini responded almost immediately and saved the day. She asked questions to make sure my dog had the proper precautions to be outdoors at her place and checked with me about any specific schedule before drop off. She was super responsive and flexible with timing for drop off / pick up. She sent so many pictures of my dog and I could see he was having a great time!

About: Animals are basically part of my DNA. I’ve been walking dogs and pet sitting since I was a child, and I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and other animals. I’ve also been riding and caring for horses my entire life, which means I’m very comfortable with responsibility, routines, and understanding animal behavior. I have hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic dogs who love long walks and playtime to seniors who need a calmer pace and extra TLC. I’m great at reading animal cues, keeping routines consistent, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I truly treat every pet as if they were my own. I work from home, so pets are never left alone and are part of my daily routine. My home sits on 3 acres of private property surrounded by a state park, which means lots of space for play and long walks or hikes. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I care for pets by treating them like part of the family, whether they’re in my home or theirs. I stick closely to each pet’s usual routine—including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and rest—so they feel comfortable and secure. I make sure dogs get plenty of supervised exercise, enrichment, and attention throughout the day. I’m attentive to individual needs, whether that means extra activity for high-energy dogs, gentle care for seniors, or patience and consistency with puppies. I also keep pet parents updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

Once again, Ilona provided excellent care for Tina whilst we went away. Ilona loves the dogs in her care as if they are her own. She is careful and considerate and checks in with us regularly, sending us lots of photos too. Ilona collected and dropped off Tina and that went really smoothly and as planned. We trust her fully and completely recommend.

Michael watched my dog, Tofu, for a week while we were away, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was super responsive from start to finish, sent tons of photos and updates, and made me feel completely at ease — which is no small feat, because leaving my dog with anyone is usually tough for me. Tofu went on plenty of walks, got lots of attention, and clearly had an amazing time. When I came home, he was happy, relaxed, and totally himself — the biggest sign that he was in great hands. I will 100% be booking with him again, and I recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and all-around fantastic dog sitter.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - West Point

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Boarding in West Point on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,807 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in West Point. About 91% of West Point sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
