“Ally was amazing! Let us see the space, verified all instructions, gave our pup his anxiety meds. He took to her right away and she was extremely accommodating. If we are back in St Louis we will definitely book with her again!”

“Alexis was fantastic. Our sweet pup is 13 years old and can get really anxious when she's boarded, but she did great with Alexis! Our travel plans kept changing at the last minute and Alexis was so flexible and understanding when we were running late to drop her off. Can not recommend her highly enough!”

“You can tell how much Natasha and Hamir really care about dogs and they took such good care of our 6-month poodle puppy Jujuba during our 10-day trip. We were very worried as it was our first time away from our puppy but they did an amazing job treating him as if he was theirs and putting all our worries at ease. Natasha sent us updates everyday with pictures and prioritized Jujuba’s safety. The dog area is separated from the kitchen by gates, so you don’t need to worry about puppy swallowing something that’s not good for them. Natasha and Hamir not only took him on regular walks, but also kept him away from heat when it was too hot outside. Our puppy gets some eye allergy and Natasha cleaned his eyes as I asked. We could see how comfortable and happy Jujuba got with them when we picked him up. We will definitely use them again in future! 🥰🥰”

“David was awesome and took excellent care of my pup while we were traveling. She had loads of play time, yummy healthy snacks and plenty of cuddles. I would highly recommend David to anyone looking for above and beyond care, loads of knowledge on dogs and a very proactive and professional approach to providing excellent care.”

“Annie was wonderful! In the past we left our dog with someone and he came back to us in shock. With Annie, both our dogs were so happy because they were treated with both care and love. I can't think of anyone who would care more for them than us. Annie cares for each and every animal she is charged with.”

“First off, huge happy thanks to Richard and Karen for saving our holiday travels after our house sitter canceled with barely over a weeks notice. My dog is a nearly 4 year old rescue, 65lb, strong as can be, and full of residual anxiety/stress/fear issues from whatever happened in his first year before. New situations, people, boxes on the counter… you name it, he freaks out (thankfully, he is chill with meeting new dogs). Richard and Karen put my worries to ease right away during our meet and greet. They are professional dog people, to say the least, and have loads of experience with dogs of all sorts, including rescues and foster fails. They also have a home situated next to a huge park (which will be a big joy for our dog if he gets comfortable enough on future trips to want walks). He made fast friends with Richard and Karen’s dog. Oh, and they sent a photo or two most days that he was with them. I am already looking at my calendar this week to set up time for Luke to stay with them again.”

“Hayden and Colin were so amazing when we needed someone last minute to watch our dog Mitch for a whole month. They treated him like one of their own dogs and sent us so many pictures every day of all their cuddles and play time. It was such a relief to have someone we could trust while we were away. They helped give his medication and manage his upset stomach. Mitch is already missing his dog friends and can’t wait to come visit again.”

About: Hello, My name is Candice. I am a fur Momma to two Dogs. Princess Lola is a 7 year old Chocolate Labrador who is my gentle giant. She enjoys long walks with her dog friends and playing with her human brothers and sisters. Scrappy is a 14 year old Westie/ Bischon Frise mix who enjoys snuggles from his family and his bed. He is blind but navigates and acts like he can see. I did have a third fur baby that crossed the rainbow bridge last year as he lost his fight with cancer. My Brodie was a 13 year old Long Haired Chihuahua/ Papillon mix and in his younger years enjoyed playing nose soccer with his family. In his senior life he enjoyed snuggling up with his brother Scrappy most. My husband Craig and I are raising our 4 children ages 4-11. They have lived their entire lives with dogs. We are a family of dog lovers and cant wait to meet your fur babies. I have experience in caring for dogs ages ranging from puppy to senior. I also have experience administering oral medication. I have been a stay at home mother and homemaker for the past 11 years which allows me to have a very flexible schedule to care for your dog. I offer a variety of services. Outdoor dog walking from little to no incline for older dogs or dogs with walking difficulties to uphill or hiking for more active and energetic dogs. I can provide care in my home with my family or care in your home for play time, feedings, or to give medicine.
“Gretchen took excellent care of my dog while I was away. He seemed very happy during his stay. I also received daily photos and updates about how he was doing. I'll definitely use Gretchen's services again.”

“We only used Arsenii once so far but will definitely be going back. Oscar has a bit of separation anxiety but Arsenii's place provides a relaxed vibe and Oscar made himself right at home.”

“Debbie was wonderful with my 2 girls! They loved her, her home and their new friends. I would highly recommend Debbie. Planning my next trip without anxiety knowing my girls will be with Debbie again.”

“Crystal is the best! I was a bit worried as this was the first time I’ve ever gotten a sitter or left Nico alone but she was amazing! Very friendly and kind, she communicated all throughout his stay with many photos and even accommodated for our late pickup. Definitely keeping her for next time hah! 🥰”

“Craig took excellent of my dog Tucker. Craig’s large fenced in back yard was so thrilling to Tucker that he was very tired after the visit. I will be using Craig again on a regular basis. Thanks so much Craig”

“For some reason, I was told my needed training to be around other dogs. Leah was the only sitter to give him a chance. We had a few meetings with Leah and other dogs before we left for vacation. Sam (my dog) did great! I got daily videos of him playing with his new friends and he came home exhausted! I will definitely be bringing Sam back to Leah even if for playdates with other dogs. She was absolutely awesome!”

“Barbara did a great job taking care of our older dog while we were out of town for over a week. She went out of her way to make sure our dog felt comfortable, followed all our food and meds instructions, and was great about keeping us updated.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Point
Michael watched my dog, Tofu, for a week while we were away, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was super responsive from start to finish, sent tons of photos and updates, and made me feel completely at ease — which is no small feat, because leaving my dog with anyone is usually tough for me. Tofu went on plenty of walks, got lots of attention, and clearly had an amazing time. When I came home, he was happy, relaxed, and totally himself — the biggest sign that he was in great hands. I will 100% be booking with him again, and I recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and all-around fantastic dog sitter.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
