I have only the best things to say about Magnoly! She was punctual, professional, responsive, and so very caring with my 3 pups. She handles dogs of various temperaments with grace and knows when and how to step in to avoid negative interactions between dogs. Her Report Cards were thoughtful and the photos she took showed that my dogs were so happy and comfortable with her. We will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you for everything, Magnoly!

Samantha is a great pet sitter. The only opinion that really matters is the pet's, and he took to her immediately on the first visit. He's usually skittish and hides at first if he doesn't know someone, but there he was on the first visit, coming right up to say hello. From the human standpoint, Samantha is a kind person and professional. She shows up and spends time with your pet. Highly recommended!

About: I have a lot of patience for animals and I love entertaining them, whether that’s playing with them or going on a long walk. For the younger ones, or ones that just have more energy, I would love to run them and keep them in shape. I am super flexible this summer, aside from a few weeks of travel, so whatever works for you works for me. My main priority is going to the gym, but other than that I’m all yours! Whether it’s feeding, walking, brushing, playing, or simply snuggling, I’m always giving my full attention and affection. Also, I think mental stimulation is often overlooked in animal care so I try to incorporate fun games and activities.

About: Hello there!! Thank you for checking out my profile. I’m a college student and a dog lover! I’ve taken care of dogs before for family, friends and of course my own furry babies! I have experience with different size dogs, different personalities and different ages. I’m a gentle and loving person, so I know your dog will have fun 💕 I’m a full time college student, so my schedule changes every semester (every 5 months or so). But I can definitely fit pet care in my daily routine. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I have experience with dogs that have anxiety, so that wouldn’t be a problem! I love to play, so we’ll have fun play sessions

I feel like I won the lottery getting Charles and Theresa to look after our cat Buffy and my 4 mice. Buffy is extremely anxious around new people, but they were so sweet and patient with her. They talked to her and played her calming kitty music during each visit. I appreciated that they sent such detailed notes after every visit. That combined with the lovely pics they sent (not always easy with a nervous cat and energetic mice!) put my mind at ease so we could really enjoy our trip. Seriously they could charge extra for these pictures. They’re now some of my favorite pictures of the babies. Thank you x a million!!

About: I’m a licensed veterinarian in Brazil and I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life. My father is a huge dog lover, so I grew up helping care for our family pets from a very young age. In Brazil, I had four dogs who are now happily living with my parents. Here in the U.S., I have my sweet mini Goldendoodle, Madalena, who is very friendly and loves having company. Because of my background in Veterinary Medicine and my lifelong experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, I feel very confident providing safe, responsible, and attentive care. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I work at a coffee shop from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. After 3:30 p.m., I’m fully available for pet care, including walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting. On Sundays and Mondays, I’m off from work and available all day for boarding, daycare, and other services. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I offer a calm, clean, and cozy home environment where pets can relax, play, and feel secure. My mini Goldendoodle, Madalena, is very friendly and gentle, which helps visiting dogs feel more comfortable and welcomed. Whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in yours, I always follow their routine exactly as instructed—feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and rest. I’m very attentive to body language and behavior to make sure each dog feels safe, respected, and stress-free. I provide constant supervision when I’m home, lots of love and positive interaction, and a peaceful space where dogs can settle in comfortably. My goal is to make every pet feel like part of the family.

About: I have grown up around dogs and horses, and love taking my parents lab to the beach a park while home in Massachusetts. I have experience caring for neighborhood pets and multiple horses. I am currently on break from graduate school in Boston, and would love to help care for or exercise your dog. Before grad school, I worked in a demanding corporate environment, which showed me the importance of having time and care for your pets. Please let me know your dog’s routine and what makes them comfortable. My parents have two dogs we walk at the same time, so happy to discuss your pets comfort around other animals.

About: Hi, I’m Jay! If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets as much as you do, you’ve come to the right place. Animals have been my biggest passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and everything in between, and I truly believe every pet deserves personalized care, lots of love, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking buddy, a cuddle buddy, playtime, meals, medication, a bath, or just someone patient and dependable while you’re away, I’m here to help! Long haired pups or kitties that hate being brushed? No problemo! I’m happy to tackle the fluff so you don’t have to. 😊 One thing that sets me apart is that I’m constantly learning. I love researching animal behavior, enrichment, nutrition, and the best ways to keep pets happy, healthy, and stress-free. Every pet has their own personality, and I take the time to get to know what makes yours feel safe and comfortable. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your best friend with someone else, so I’ll care for your baby like they’re my own. You can expect plenty of updates, adorable photos, and the peace of mind that your furry, feathered, or scaly family member is in loving hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your bestie! 🤍 Caring for pets has always been part of my daily routine. I work early mornings, so I’m able to give pets attention, care, and playtime before work, after I get home, and throughout the evening. I’m used to keeping a consistent routine with my own cats and making sure they’re fed, comfortable, and cared for. I only accept bookings that fit my schedule so I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, so I do everything I can to make the experience easy for both you and your pet. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely, keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I’ll send lots of updates and pictures (because I know I’d want them too!) so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind. Whether your pet is super energetic, a little shy, or just wants someone to hang out with, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very detail oriented and always pay attention to things like securely closing doors and gates, keeping dogs safely leashed on walks, and making sure your pet is happy and comfortable. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and feel confident that they were treated like family while you were away.

About: I currently work as a supervisor at a doggy daycare and have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and needs. I also have personal experience caring for special needs and mobility-impaired dogs, including medication administration and bladder expression. Animals are truly my passion, and I treat every pet like family. I work mornings and spend a lot of time caring for my own rescue babies, so I currently offer pet care visits between 3 PM–9 PM to ensure every animal gets my full attention and care. I know how important trust is when it comes to someone caring for your pets, because my own babies are my entire world too. I believe building a bond with each pet is just as important as meeting their physical needs, so I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll care for your pets with patience, attention, and kindness while keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Newbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in West Newbury with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
