About: I've been around animals my whole life. I grew up with dogs, and these days I'm often the person friends and family call when they need someone to look after their pets. I've spent plenty of time walking dogs, feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they're well cared for while their owners are away. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including larger, high-energy breeds. I enjoy getting to know each animal's personality and building trust with them. I've even trained my own cats to do tricks and respond to commands using positive reinforcement. Taking care of animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I take the responsibility seriously because I know how much people's pets mean to them. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me the flexibility to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the day. Outside of work, taking care of animals has always been a regular part of my life, whether that's spending time with my own pets or helping friends and family with theirs. Because I work a consistent schedule and plan my time carefully, I can be reliable and punctual when it comes to pet care. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so it's something I genuinely look forward to rather than trying to squeeze into a busy schedule. I try to keep things as close to the pet's normal routine as possible. When I'm caring for a pet in their home, I follow the owner's instructions and make sure they're getting everything they need, whether that's walks, meals, playtime, medications, or just some company while their owner is away. I pay attention to each animal's personality and body language and adjust my approach accordingly. Some pets want lots of attention and activity, while others are happier with a quieter approach and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable with both. Safety is always important to me. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I keep an eye out for anything that seems out of the ordinary. My goal is to make sure pets are comfortable, well cared for, and as stress-free as possible while their owners are away. I make sure that I'm always available, and communication is a huge priority for me

We just moved here last week and were gone over Christmas so we had to find someone reliable to take care of our cat, Pancakes, on very short notice. Laney was extremely reliable, communicative, and helped relieve an area of stress for us over this holiday season. We will definitely continue to use her for cat care and also to take care of our pup in the future.

About: I currently work as a supervisor at a doggy daycare and have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and needs. I also have personal experience caring for special needs and mobility-impaired dogs, including medication administration and bladder expression. Animals are truly my passion, and I treat every pet like family. I work mornings and spend a lot of time caring for my own rescue babies, so I currently offer pet care visits between 3 PM–9 PM to ensure every animal gets my full attention and care. I know how important trust is when it comes to someone caring for your pets, because my own babies are my entire world too. I believe building a bond with each pet is just as important as meeting their physical needs, so I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll care for your pets with patience, attention, and kindness while keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.

About: Hello! My name is Jenna. I absolutely love being around dogs and grew up with them my entire life. My first family dog was a yellow Labrador named Lady, and later, a wonderful black Lab mix named Maddie. While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I have a lifetime of experience caring for them and plenty of love to give to yours.Because of my active lifestyle, I love spending time outdoors and going on long hikes. I will ensure your dog gets plenty of fresh air, active playtime, and frequent outdoor exercise. I treat every dog with the same kindness and respect I would show a human. In addition to my love for animals, I am a professional schoolteacher who works with young children, which has given me an abundance of patience, care, and reliability. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of various ages, sizes and breeds since I was a kid. I grew up with always at least 1 dog (usually 2) and 2 cats. I have watched pets for neighbors, friends and family consistently throughout the years and have been relied upon to walk, feed, pet and play with their pets. I am also a fur mom for my sweet 9-year old kitten, Pancakes and my 2.5 year old golden retriever, Stella. I take time to make other pets comfortable and give them not only the basic needs but companionship and playtime that is just as important! I am currently taking time away from the corporate world and have lots of time to take care of pets! I’m flexible for daytime and evening visits. I will always take great care to make sure that pets are safe while under my care. When walking I’ll always be sure dogs are leashed and when at home I’ll make sure windows & doors are closed.

About: I have a weiner dog named Benny whom I raised and trained since he was a puppy. I’ve cared for puppies post-neuter/spay surgery as well as walking and caring for injured dogs. I have experience administering medication to dogs and cats. I’ve housesat for friends to care for their cats and have lived with and cared for a cat for over 3 years. I love animals and I’m passionate about their well-being and quality of life. I know every animal is unique, and needs to be approached with that in mind. I’m currently working part time in the evenings for a couple hours so I have early morning to late afternoon available. I also have availability on weekends. I’ve spent time with many different kinds of pets and I feel confident that after spending a little time with yours, I’ll understand how they want to be approached and cared for. I raised my dog since he was a puppy and took part in his training so I feel confident with dogs of any age. I’ve spent many years around cats and know their mannerisms and the quiet language that they use to communicate. I’m meticulous and careful when walking dogs since I raised mine in NYC; I understand how to keep their attention and be firm when necessary to keep them safe and attentive on their walks. I want you to come home to a pet that is happy and healthy, above all.

We are so glad we found Diana! She took excellent care of our 2 year old VERY energetic lab. She is newly adopted so we were very nervous leaving her overnight for the first time. Diana was great meeting with us beforehand to discuss our dogs schedule and any special requests. She sent many updates and pictures which helped us feel at ease. She gave our dog plenty of playtime and exercise so that our absence wasn’t distressing to our pup and she was very flexible with our changing schedule. We would absolutely book with Diana again!!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Hampton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in South Hampton with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
