About: Hi pet parents! My name is Elena. Im obsessed with all animals, especially dogs. Im happiest outdoors and go on adventure walks with my own dog every day. No matter the weather, I’d rather be on a walk! *I’ve inquired with Rover about why my rating is lower, it is from an incomplete booking and nothing can be done. Please see my reviews for testaments to the quality of care I provide! I am a geologist and work multi-week shifts elsewhere in the country, so when I am home I have lots of time to schedule pet care. I am especially looking for dog walking and drop-in visits that I can schedule according to your pet’s needs. For boarding, I only care for one dog at a time (or two from the same family). This would be perfect for a senior dog, special needs dog, or a puppy which requires loving attention and a calm, quiet space. I want to ensure a safe and happy experience for you and your pet. I don’t take any risks if I am caring for someone else’s pet, the same as I would expect for care of my own dog. Your dog will feel safe with me. I always use praise and positive reinforcement to best work with your pup.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs for over 10 years and have always loved caring for animals. I recently moved out of my parents’ home after losing my last childhood dog, and I’m not quite ready to have my own dog just yet. I’d love to spend that time caring for and loving other people’s pets! I’m comfortable with dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels and understand that every dog has their own routine and needs. I’m happy to take dogs on walks, play with them, give them lots of attention, and keep them comfortable in a home environment. I’m responsible, patient, attentive, and will treat your pet like they are my own. I work three night shifts per week as a nurse, while my partner works weekday mornings and afternoons as an electrician. Because of our schedules, there are plenty of days and times when I’m available to give pets my full attention with his help. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. We have an unfenced lawn at home and live on a quiet dead-end road with safe walking areas around a lake, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and outdoor time. I’m also happy to follow whatever routine works best for your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. Although we do not have a fenced-in yard, we have a lawn and I will always make sure pets are supervised and safely leashed when outside. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I will treat every animal in my care with the same patience, attention, and love I would give my own. I’m also happy to follow specific feeding, walking, medication, or routine instructions to help your pet feel comfortable while you’re away.

She even offered to keep him longer so I could catch up on a bit of sleep. So thoughtful! Thank you for always being such a gracious and caring host! About: I am an animal lover who had had dogs and cats my whole life. I go for 1-2 hour walk or hike with my dog and would love more company. I walk in the mornings and offer pick up and drop off. I work from home and have mornings free. I usually walk from 8-10:30 on weekdays and am flexible on weekends. Would love to have your pup join me! About: I am a lifetime dog lover and would love to care for your dog like they were my own. My last dog, Finn, gained his angel wings in June and was with me for 15 amazing years. I'd like to continue caring for other pups in his honor! I am also an approved foster for a local dog rescue, and have experience with puppies, mama dogs, and older dogs. I am very happy to care for older dogs as they hold a special place in my heart! If your dog boards with me, they will get tons of love, snuggles, exercise and walks, and have a safe place to be while you are away. My goal is to make my home their second favorite place to be :) I currently work from home full time and have a very flexible schedule. I do have two school aged children at home, so we have a very consistent daily and weekly routine. Until recently, we had a dog at home, so pet care fits very naturally into our days. We have a large back yard away from the road. It is not fenced in, but I will take your pet out on a leash for bathroom breaks, walking for exercise and some supervised playing! There will not be any outside time that is unsupervised. I am very familiar with crate trained dogs or with uncrated dogs as long as they are safe outside of the crate (as in they are old enough not to eat dangerous things etc). If you have a puppy that is not house trained yet, I request that they be in a crate for night time. Inside the home, they will have access only to the floor that I am on at the moment, so as to keep them safe and out of trouble! We have plenty of gates and other items to block off different parts of the house. Mostly they will just be hanging out with me! I also have an octagon style play pen for puppies.

“Our dog stone was well taking care of while staying with Dorothea.She sent us pics daily of his activities and made us anxiety free,pet owners know the feeling i'm talking about.Dorothea was wonderful with our stone,she has a few dogs of her own and he played with them and was a tired pup when we brought him home.We will be calling Dorothea to watch stone in the future!!!!”
