“Rose was great with Gizmo! She sent me lots of pictures and updates and you can tell she takes care of each dog depending on their personality/preferences. He had a great time boarding there.”

“Caitlyn exceeded my expectations and took good care of my two feench bulldogs. She groomed them, played with them and loved them like they were her own! I think my dogs liked her more than me and already misses her. Haha 😄 I didnt worry about them at all knowing they were with her. I will never leave them at a boarding facility again and they will go to Caitlins from now on! Thank you for your love and care of my beloved dogs!”

“Taylor is such an amazing dog sitter, I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found her. Even though I was on vacation I felt like Eddie was too! She did all sorts of fun things with him and gave him lots of love and attention too. So many updates and pictures, it made my trip even better to know he was in such caring hands. Can’t wait for Eddie’s next visit!”

“Michelle did a great job with Maya! Lots of pictures and updates and my pup came home so tired from all the playing that she slept the entire afternoon/night. Thanks, Michelle!”

“Stacey was so accommodating and fantastic watching our dog Monty!!! She sent cute pictures through out his trip, and he came back tired because he had so much fun playing!! 110 percent would recommend her. She’s amazing!”

About: I can train, give medications and spend lots of time with your furry friends. Im also a cat lover and am experienced with cats, meaning I will be gentle and understanding with them haha. They will get lovely meals and be treated like royalty. I work part time at a jewelry store and I’m also a college student trying her best. My routine isn’t too crazy I do some work on my computer, I take care of the house and assist with pets and pet care. New England is super beautiful but very buggy, I’m an expert when it comes to pulling/repelling bugs off of my dog as well as bathing her. We have a well kept trail about a couple foot steps behind our house as well as lots of yard room for ball playing. We live in a low crime area, with neighbors who also own pets. Retail stores are also close by so if I need to pick up food it will be easy. If your pet also has an emergency, the animal hospital is minutes away.

“Faith was not one bit short of amazing, she sent pictures and updates of our pup, Stella, throughout the entire vacation. We were worry warts because Stella is a very high energy pup with a big personality, but Faith had everything under control and wasn't even phased by the excited first meeting. Stella was very tired after her long weekend with Faith and fellow puppers, so we knew she had a great vacation herself. She will be returning in a couple months for about a week and it will not be her last time!”

“We got stuck on vacation for several extra days because of the snowstorm and he was very flexible and accommodating. We would have been in major trouble if our dog was with someone who couldn’t take on the extra days but luckily this is the one thing we did not have to worry about. Our dog seemed very happy and taken care of when we picked him. The fact that watching your dog is his job and main priority is a huge reason why I’d recommend choosing here over somewhere else.”

“Nicole is great with communication. She always sends pictures and updates so I know my dog is being well cared for! We’ve boarded our dog with Nicole multiple times now and we always have a good experience.”

“Kat is awesome! I would highly recommend! I had never left Kobe with anyone and was very nervous but she was very kind and kept me updated the whole time! I will bring him back to Kat and would highly recommend!”

“Shana was truly an exceptional sitter and we feel so lucky to have found her. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful and prepared she was — she even had a clipboard with notes ready, which immediately made us feel comfortable and confident leaving our dog in her care. Throughout the stay she sent so many photos and detailed updates, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing exactly how things were going and seeing how happy our dog was. Our pup ended up having a bit of a GI issue while we were away, and Shana handled it with such calm confidence and care. She clearly knows dogs incredibly well and was so composed and knowledgeable in every situation. She even cooked rice and chicken for her to help settle her stomach and kept us updated on how she was doing, which meant so much to us. Shana, her husband Dylan, and their dog Cleo created such a warm, loving environment. It genuinely felt like our dog was being cared for by people who truly understand and love dogs. We are so grateful for the care she gave our pup and would trust Shana with her again in a heartbeat.”

“For the first time in a long time I felt like my dog was going to be perfectly happy and well cared for while I was away. Courtney was perfect. My dog was happy and I can tell she had a great time with Courtney and her little dog. Highly recommended!!!”

“What a great host and home for our dog. Take the time to meet up with Thea and her sweet dog Gigolo and their cozy home with a doggie door and fenced-in yard. I went on my trip feeling 1000% comfortable and enjoyed seeing pictures pop into my feed throughout. Thea made sure my dog got what she needed. A+”

“We had the best experience with Julia and her family. She was excellent at communicating and providing detailed updates. Hank was truly part of her family while I was out of town and he had a blast. I am truly relieved to have someone reliable, safe and caring that I can leave Hank with in the future!”

“Laura took such great care of our dogs and was very kind to accommodate us on short notice! She truly “gets” dogs and her understanding of how to introduce dogs to one another insured that ours had a peaceful visit!”

“Bailey had a great time as always and we are thrilled to leave her in a place she is so comfortable and well cared for. Kane and Colette were very flexible with us when our flight was delayed due to weather!”

“Karen was great with our dog, Bolton! She made him feel at home with her dogs and other dog in her care. We appreciate her kindness in helping Bolton to acclimate, as he can sometimes be nervous when going to new places. We're excited for Bolton to visit Karen again soon!”

“Salish was a fantastic sitter for our pup. When we ran into a travel delay, she kindly accommodated our request to extend his stay for another night. We felt so comfortable knowing he was in great hands. Thank you, Salish!”

“Caty and her family are great. They treated Sagan like one of their own and developed a good bond with him. This was our first time leaving him with a sitter so he experienced a bit of separation anxiety but Caty and her family were very patient and helped him through it. Thank you for taking good care of our buddy.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Amesbury
Denise and Luca (her small dog) were great with our small dog Senshi. We felt he was comfortable with her and it was nice that she only takes small dogs. He had lovely walks to the beach and a farm. She let him sit by her in the evenings and on the bed at night. She has cameras around her home so if she has to go out she can check on him which we appreciate. She always responded to any inquiries we had in a timely manner and she provided pics and updates regularly. We will definitely use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
