In the past, I have always hesitated to travel anywhere because I didn't want to put Connor in a kennel while we were gone. I'm so happy I found Rover.com! Connor stayed with Bob and his wife, Kathy. She loved hanging out with them and playing with their cute little dog, Milo. Bob sent me pictures of Connor and her activities while we were gone which was very reassuring. Bob and Kathy are awesome and I see more travel in my future! Thanks for the great care and love you gave Connor.

Denise was wonderful. My dog is very timid with new people and he felt comfortable with Denise and her two sweet small dogs immediately. Really, it was a perfect fit. Denise was welcoming and communicative throughout. So happy to have met her!

Krystyna and Sara were AMAZING. They took care of my 2 dogs for a long weekend when I had to go away for a family funeral. I was already anxious about leaving them with someone new and they went above and beyond. They sent pictures and messages throughout the day. One of my dogs was having a paw issue with his nail and they took care of him and all the needs that came along with it. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and will for sure book with them again!!

Felicia was absolutely incredible with Luna. She took her on so many great walks. Sent pics of Luna snuggled up on her couch. Luna came back so happy but wiped after the couple of busy and active days with Felicia. Luna is already looking forward to her next stay! Would highly recommend Felicia - she was so awesome, highly communicative and took amazing care of Luna🐾

Julie and her family were amazing for our dog, Queso, and our family. She helped us out on a last minute cancellation of our dog sitter and took care of Queso for a full week. Her family took her on walks, played with her, and welcomed her into their home! She updated us with messages and photos. We are very grateful and hope to use her in the future. Thank you so much!

Mercis is the BEST pet-sitter!!!! She always goes above and beyond in taking care of my dog Sherlock, be it food, walks or anything!! I had to visit my home country and it is very hard to stay away from my fur baby, but I had no worries as Sherlock was with Mercis!! She kept me informed daily with pictures and video calls! Seriously I don’t know what we’d do without Mercis! Sherlock adores her and so do we!!!

My husband and I were a little nervous about leaving our puppy for an overnight with a stranger. We had only ever left our dog with family before. But after meeting Andrea, she put our minds at ease. It is clear Andrea is very passionate about dogs and has two really great pups of her own. She treated our puppy, Winnie, like she was one of the family. Andrea was was quick to respond to all of our messages and very flexible about pick-up and drop-off times. We loved getting lots of updates on Winnie, and it was clear from the pictures she was right at home with Andrea. We love Andrea, and would 10/10 recommend her.

About: We provide a calm, loving, and personalized environment for one household at a time. Our home is currently pet free, which allows us to give each dog our full attention in a peaceful and low stress setting. Since there are usually two adults at home and one of us works a hybrid schedule, there is almost always someone home to provide companionship, supervision, affection, playtime, and frequent potty breaks throughout the day. Dogs have always been an important part of our lives, and caring for them is something we genuinely love and enjoy. We understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and emotionally secure when away from their family. Having experienced life with our own beloved dog through every stage of life, including senior care and medical needs, we understand how important patience, routine, comfort, and trust truly are. We have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and we truly enjoy spending quality time with them through play, affection, walks, and companionship. Because we only host one family at a time, we are able to create a more relaxed and personalized experience where dogs can receive individual attention and feel more at home. We also value communication and know how reassuring updates can be while away from your pet, so we always strive to provide regular updates, photos, and attentive care throughout each stay. We highly value meet and greets beforehand to help ensure that our home is the right fit and that each dog feels comfortable, safe, and welcomed. We are happy to communicate in either English or Spanish to help families feel as comfortable as possible. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine since our schedules allow for someone to usually be home throughout the day. This allows us to provide frequent supervision, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, affection, and consistent attention during each stay. We enjoy maintaining a calm and structured environment where dogs can feel comfortable, relaxed, and part of the family. We understand that every dog has different routines, personalities, and comfort levels, so we do our best to help them feel safe, settled, and emotionally comfortable while away from home. Because we only host one household at a time, we are able to dedicate more individualized care, quality time, attention, and companionship to each dog throughout the day. Safety, supervision, and communication are very important to us. We are very mindful of each dog’s routine, comfort level, feeding schedule, potty schedule, exercise needs, and any instructions provided by their family. We understand that every dog adjusts differently to new environments, so we always try to create a positive and comfortable transition while respecting their personality, boundaries, and pace. We also value consistency and communication, and we make sure pet parents receive regular updates and photos throughout each stay so they can feel reassured while away. Before confirming a booking, we highly value meet and greets to help ensure that our home is the right fit and that everyone feels comfortable, safe, and confident moving forward.

Denise and Luca (her small dog) were great with our small dog Senshi. We felt he was comfortable with her and it was nice that she only takes small dogs. He had lovely walks to the beach and a farm. She let him sit by her in the evenings and on the bed at night. She has cameras around her home so if she has to go out she can check on him which we appreciate. She always responded to any inquiries we had in a timely manner and she provided pics and updates regularly. We will definitely use her again.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their South Hampton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your South Hampton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
