If your pup prefers to be alone then I am more than happy to give that one on one time!
“Grace was amazing! My cat Samosa can be tough to love as she doesn't like people other than me but Samosa was in such good spirits when I got home. I got a photo every day, including where the key was left, and it was great knowing she was doing well while I was away. It made visiting Island stress free!”

“I can't thank Michaela enough for taking such wonderful care of my cat while I was on vacation! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my kitty was in such loving and responsible hands. I came home to a happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for cat—and a clean litter box too! Michaela sent me updates and photos upon each visit, which truly made my time away so much easier. It’s clear Michaela really loves animals and takes the time to bond with them. I’m so grateful for the attention, affection, and care my kitty received. Highly recommend to any fellow cat parents—Michaela is the best!”
“Samantha is a great pet sitter. The only opinion that really matters is the pet's, and he took to her immediately on the first visit. He's usually skittish and hides at first if he doesn't know someone, but there he was on the first visit, coming right up to say hello. From the human standpoint, Samantha is a kind person and professional. She shows up and spends time with your pet. Highly recommended!”

“This is the second time Andrew has watched Apollo and he did such a great job. Apollo is a very timid dog and he seems to really love when Andrew comes over!! We definitely recommend Andrew and will be using him again!”

About: Hello! My name is Coralee and I’m 20. Ive been a lifelong animal lover and have been caring for animals as long as I can remember. I am new to the Rover community, but I know how important it is to have the right person taking care of your pet(s)! I am constantly around animals in my day to day life and I am comfortable around all dog + cat breeds and sizes!! I am always willing to adapt and learn any type of dog/cats personality and what suits them best as it is not only my time but most importantly theirs. When I come to care for, play with, and walk your dog/cat I will dedicate all of my time to loving and bonding with them just as if they were my own! I do have medication experience with pills only. I am currently home full-time getting my GED online and I am available for drop ins, dog walking, and pet sitting. Please schedule all pet sittings a day or more in advance, I only ask this because I don’t want times overlapping. I have two cats of my own but they can easily be put in different rooms. If willing your pet is smaller they could also be crated or free-roam in my room or wherever I may be at the time. I have a very big un-fenced backyard and also a pool area with fence where we can relax, play, and even swim if allowed by owner first.
“Stephanie did an excellent job dropping in to take care of our cat! Pepper is elderly and very timid but warmed up quickly. Stephanie went above and beyond and even brought in some big packages that were delivered while we were gone. She was great at sending pictures and updating us on how Pepper was doing while we were out of town for a week. We would definitely trust Stephanie to take care of Pepper next time we are away!”

About: I have worked in the pet care industry, specializing in dogs, since 2013. From daycare and boarding to training and behavior modification- from grooming to veterinary care- I have seen it all and worked closely with a wide variety of experts in these fields. For several years, I even owned and ran my own in-home dog training business before deciding to move to the veterinary side- utilizing my years of experience to now help care for the health of people’s beloved dogs- and cats- in as fear free a way as possible. I am very excited to expand to offer walks and nail trims in this format and for the new relationships I will build! I am currently working part-time so I will be looking to fit in walks between my shifts. Currently I am only looking to book walks, drop ins and nail trims. It is always my goal to treat each dog and cat as if it is my own. I focus on being a strong, calm leader for them and providing them with the respect each animal deserves.
“Xi was a very loving and gentle cat sitter for my 2 kitties during a recent extended trip. She managed insulin injections for my youngest sweetheart! Always a good communicator and very respectful! I would not hesitate to call for Xi again!”

“This is my first time using Rover and we couldn’t have had a better experience than we had with Heather! My son loves getting the daily check in picture of our pug, Coco! Thanks again Heather & Rover!”

“Alyssa was so sweet to my cats while I was away. She took such good care of them and made sure they had everything they needed. She sent detailed reports after each visit and pictures of my fur babies. I would absolutely recommend Alyssa and will use her again for my next trip.”

About: I have had pet cats my whole life so I am very familiar with their care needs. I’m not as experienced in dog care but I know the basics and am always eager to learn more through experience! I currently work 4 days/week with a rotating schedule. I have full days off during the week as well as every other weekend off. On days i am working i am available for walks or drops ins after 6pm. My work schedule is not extremely consistent but I have that schedule 1 month in advance and update my calendar regularly to reflect my availability. As a pet owner I know how much trust is needed to allow someone to care for them. Whether it be pet sitting or letting them out for a potty break, I am dedicated to providing them the absolute best care and creating a safe and loving environment.
“10/10 recommend! Laney dropped in fed and played with my cats she even got my shy cat to play too. She sent photos daily and I felt so comfortable with her as a sitter. I will definitely be booking again! ❤️”

“Sharon was fantastic! She did drop in visits for our dog Izzie and we couldn't have been happier. Sharon kept us updated with photos and text messages each visit. Sharon is clearly an animal lover and treated Izzie like one of her own. We highly recommend Sharon and we can’t wait to use her again.”

“Madison took loving and meticulous care of my cat while I was away. She communicated very consistently and had great follow up. The pictures and details she sent were so good they it possible for us to relax knowing our kitty was in good hands.”
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I’ve had my sweet cat Beanie for 10 years, and my beloved pup Dunkin was by my side for 14 amazing years before he passed in July 2020. He taught me so much about patience, unconditional love, and the joy of caring for animals of all kinds. I’m the go-to pet sitter in my friend group, and I absolutely love it. Whether it’s a playful pup, a shy cat, or a senior dog who just needs company and care, I’m here for it. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and treating them like one of my own. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available on weekends for: • Drop-in visits • Dog walks • Kitty care • Lots of love, playtime, and photos for peace of mind 💛 I’m comfortable with all sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I believe every animal deserves kindness, respect, and a good belly rub (when invited!). I’d love to meet your furry friend and give them the care and attention they deserve. Let’s connect—your pet’s new weekend BFF is ready to help! I work full - time, so right now my availability would be Evenings or Friday-Sunday any time. Would just need to know one day in advance :) Currently unable to sit at my own home, but am flexible with house sitting in your own home and easily adapt to rules and your environment and how you like things to be done.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Newton with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
