About: Hi everyone! My name's Shirl and I am hoping to make your life a bit easier by taking away the stress of leaving your pup behind while you're away. I have been pet sitting for over 12 years; I used to have dogs come board with me while owners went away, but I've found that most owners prefer their pets to stay in the comfort of their own home. I have years of experience doing overnight pet sitting, but unfortunately my growing family (3 dogs and a cat of my own) no longer allows for me to stay away from home overnight. I am happy to provide multiple daily visits and/or walks! My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while you're away, by keeping their daily routine as close to "normal" as possible. I've cared for all types of pets including dogs, cats, bunnies, chicks, quail, lizards, fish, etc.! I am an experienced dog handler/ animal lover at heart. I worked at/managed a doggie day care/boarding facility for 4 years, learning from a very experienced trainer who focuses on positive reinforcement techniques ONLY. During my time there, I had opportunities to complete trainings to understand dog behaviors and body language. I have volunteered at BARCS as a dog walker/foster, working primarily with bully breeds. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover my entire life. From playing with salamanders as a kid, to growing up with cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes; I've also had bunnies, fish, frogs, hermit crabs, hamsters, birds...the list goes on! I couldn't imagine a life without animals in it. My experience administering medication Yes. Working at a dog boarding facility for nearly 2 years I have had to give many forms of medications, and my personal pets also take oral medications. I am not trained to give injections. My full time job allows me to work from home majority of the week. That makes it easy for me to swing by for a visit at different times of the day. The latest drop in I can provide is 7pm. I am happy to provide updates as soon as I arrive, during the stay, and as I leave. For dog walks, I prefer not to introduce any dog that I’m handling to another dog passing by. This ensures everyone’s safety.
“Katherine is great. We had a terrific meet and greet and so we left our dogs a few days later to be walked by her with great confidence. She also lives not too far from us and we bumped into her while she was walking her dogs so we got to observe the strong relationship she has with her pups and their socialization. After her visit with Opal and Oz we received great photos of them. We came home to happy whippets. Could not ask for more.”

“I could tell from all the kisses and attention she gave Jenni when they came back from the walk that Ginger had a great time! I loved the pics during too. Thanks so much!”

About: I’ve always been good with animals. My family has been raising dogs since I was a little kid and I really love all our pets. I work part time, usually in the afternoons/night. This would be something good for me to do during the day to keep working and staying busy. I have been walking my dogs and taking care of them since I was 9. I’ve always been responsible for cleaning up after them and keeping them safe. I’d do the same for any dog I’d walk or let out.
About: Hi! My family has always had dogs for as long as I can remember. From puppies madness to senior sunsets, I’ve loved every stage that comes with having pets. During summers I’ve provided in house care for neighbors pets allowing them a “vacation” from staying home all day. I would be more than happy to get to know your pet as well as yourself ! I am currently a graduate students at UD only taking classes 2 days a week. I am quite flexible with hours and more than happy to include daily walks and visits into my routine! Having had pets myself, I pride myself for caring for others as if they are my own. I am willing to do whatever I can to ensure a comfortable experience for both pets and owners!
“Paige has been great for Moose this winter and spring! He always looks forward to her visits. Paige is super dependable--great communication and very flexible in walking and taking care of Moose. Thanks Paige!”

About: I am a mature, responsible woman that will care for your fur babies as if they were my own. My last 2 dogs passed at 14 & 15 years old. I miss them dearly. I’m currently living where dogs are not allowed. Therefore I have one cat. If I was allowed to have more than one I would. Your fur babies can expect lots of love, playing, pets, snuggling, and if allowed, they can sleep by my side as mine did…and still do. 😻🦮🐕🦺 At the moment my schedule is wide open until 7/23, possibly longer. Will update calendar as I go. As I prefer spending my time with animals as opposed to people, I’m hoping to book as many fur babies as possible. I will care for your pets in your home as if they were my own. If you crate your dogs, I will crate them. Not allowed on the couch? I won’t let them on the couch. You tell me their schedule/routine, any special needs/care, likes & dislikes, etc. And I’ll go above & beyond to make sure they don’t even miss you. 😊
“Hailey is amazing!! She is great when it comes to my dogs, they love her and she takes great care of them. I’m very happy I found her and will always use her when I need someone to take of Jake and Bon Yo. I’ve never found anyone more dependable and trustworthy.”

Mondays - not available until 4pm. Wednesdays, Fridays - available after 2 pm. Tuesday and Thursdays- available 1pm - 3pm and 6pm - night. Saturdays and Sundays - available mostly all day with some restrictions. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. I am excited to play and care for your pet and their needs! Throughout my life, I've had years of experience with large dogs, senior dogs, puppies, etc. I have also had experience with many different behaviors of dogs and understand it can be hard to meet a fresh face. I will carefully comfort your pet, and introduce myself in a calm manner to ensure the safety of your pet and myself, so your pet can have a fun, relaxing time!

I am a student so each day looks a little different for me! I am available M/W/F mornings until 2, and available tuesdays and some thursdays after 2:30! I also have some weekend availability if booked in advance. I am not currently caring for pets in my home. Because I run my own business and set my own hours, my schedule is flexible and can easily adapt to your pet's needs. Whether it's an early morning walk, a midday visit, or a late-night check-in, I can provide consistent, reliable care whenever your fur baby needs it. This includes following their usual routine for feeding, walks, and playtime, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved. “Destiny is seriously the best! If you want someone who can ancipate the needs/wants of your furry friend, then she's your walker/sitter. Thanks so much for your spectacular service to my dog these last few years, Destiny!”

About: I currently am going to school for Ecology and Conservation Biology with an emphasis on animal behavior. I have 10+ years of pet care experience and specifically, with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. I have a 6 year old Rottweiler and two cats currently, but also grew up with cats, a Dachshund, and other breeds of dogs. I raised and trained my dog from a puppy and I would work on skills with younger dogs or any dogs in need of training reinforcement at the owners request! I am generally available in the afternoons after 3pm on most weekdays, pending work tempo. If our dogs get along, would love to bring my pup along for a walk as well. Weekends I am generally open unless something is already planned! I unfortunately don’t have the space to accommodate more than my own dog at my home. However, drop-in visits and walks will always be tailored to your dogs needs.
About: Animals are Gods among us. I agree with Ricky Gervais, that "a dog loves you more than it loves itself, and that's why I worship dogs." Honestly, this gig is a bit selfish - my sweet baby Pit Mix passed away recently & I miss her terribly. I'm certain that engaging with animals will soothe this depression. I am socially awkward with humans, but I love animals. This will be therapy, a true gift, to me. I also need to exercise more and would like to be able to afford any kind of home, some day. My family has had pets since I was in kindergarten. I volunteered with Faithful Friends in High School, through which I also fostered kittens. I have taken care of my neighbors' & friends' pets while away over the years, which I equate to a collective total of ~2 years. I take medical issues very seriously & cared for my doll when she was ill. I understand how stressful & important it is. My favorite thing about walking a dog is when the folded tops of their ears bounce up and down. I work full time until ~4:30PM, but I am usually free after. I am available for boarding on the weekends. On the days I work from home (typically Monday & Wednesday), I can also provide a walk or check in during my lunch hour (1 to 2PM). There are no other animals or children in my home; your pet will have my undivided attention. I have a large partially fenced in yard, and many walking trails nearby. I'm also happy to take care of a pet in your home, if preferred.
