About: We brought home our 1st puppy when our eldest daughter was 8 weeks old. Everything since then has been easy! Currently have an 8yr old Golden Retriever with a fenced in backyard. Each of our grown children took in a dog or puppy once they had their own homes. We have had cats, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs over the years. I'm recently semi-retired and my daughters have used Rover for their dogs in far away states. I thought it would be a nice way to give our dog a playmate every once in a while. We have a large fenced in yard which your dog can run around or hangout with our dog if they'd like. Our house is split level so there could be 6 stairs at time to go up & down. I love to walk our dog & listen to books or podcasts.

She is flexible and accommodating of our schedule even with last minute changes and communicates proactively. She always sends pictures and gives a nice summary of what she did with Sasha and how she was doing. We would definitely recommend Betty for anyone looking for drop-ins or walks for their dog!”

About: I have taken care of all sorts of pets since I was a kid, but dogs and cats are what I am most used to. I have experience walking dogs, dog sitting in others homes(overnight too), and some experience caring for cats(cousins and friends). I have 3 golden retrievers at home in NY ranging from ages 1-8 and I care about them SO much, so I always want to ensure their safety. I feed them, walk them, and have endless playtime with them. My goal is to always ensure your pets safety, just as I would for mine:) I’m currently a nursing student at the University of Delaware and I’m on the club soccer team at UD! Don’t worry, I still have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I have SO much time between my classes during the week, time on weekends, and after my clinicals on Thursday and Friday’s! I am here to help! I live in a town house at Delaware in which I am able to bring your pet to! There is a fenced in tennis court and park a quick 2 minute walk away that I would take the doggy day out dogs to! I have taken care of pets in the homes of family, friends, and clients. I ensure to go into the house with a calm manor and let the pet get used to me before I walk them, play, or feed them. I have three golden retrievers myself that I care for and always want to ensure their safety. I will always make sure to ensure your pets safety too!

About: I am compassionate, caring and loving to all cats. My cat is my best friend because she listens better than humans. Cats are my go to for unjudgmental opinions I work full time, so I would be available to care for your furbabies after 4pm. I would also be available on the weekends to provide checkin n needed care. I have 1 cat , our apartment is cat friendly and quiet with 2 adult caretakers. I have had 3 cats previously. They can be such good companions. She eats 3 meals, has regular water changes and litter box changes and plays good solo .

About: I have taken care of many animals and give the best care I can while sharing pictures and updates to the owner. I can work with food motivated animals to do simple tricks. I am starting college shortly but I still will dedicate as much time as I can to taking care of animals. Breaks and days I don't have classes will be for anyone needing pet care! I have a car and can go to clients' houses and take care of their pets, as I have done often for friends and neighbors. I have a partially fenced yard for leashed play. I am in a house under construction but the top floor is finished and houses my two kittens. Calmer dogs would be better if coming into my house, otherwise I am able to care for any size or personality in the owners house.

About: Animals are Gods among us. I agree with Ricky Gervais, that "a dog loves you more than it loves itself, and that's why I worship dogs." Honestly, this gig is a bit selfish - my sweet baby Pit Mix passed away recently & I miss her terribly. I'm certain that engaging with animals will soothe this depression. I am socially awkward with humans, but I love animals. This will be therapy, a true gift, to me. I also need to exercise more and would like to be able to afford any kind of home, some day. My family has had pets since I was in kindergarten. I volunteered with Faithful Friends in High School, through which I also fostered kittens. I have taken care of my neighbors' & friends' pets while away over the years, which I equate to a collective total of ~2 years. I take medical issues very seriously & cared for my doll when she was ill. I understand how stressful & important it is. My favorite thing about walking a dog is when the folded tops of their ears bounce up and down. I work full time until ~4:30PM, but I am usually free after. I am available for boarding on the weekends. On the days I work from home (typically Monday & Wednesday), I can also provide a walk or check in during my lunch hour (1 to 2PM). There are no other animals or children in my home; your pet will have my undivided attention. I have a large partially fenced in yard, and many walking trails nearby. I'm also happy to take care of a pet in your home, if preferred.

About: We are new to Rover, but certainly no strangers to the world caring for pets. We are a husband & wife team with a combined total of over 50 years of animal care experience. From senior pet care to exotic animal husbandry, we have seen it all. Being pet parents ourselves, we have had several dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, & fish. Our American Bull dog mix, Jack, our King Charles Cavalier, Castle, our Chow Chow mix, CBJ, and our Labrador/Husky mix, Crichton, have all left muddy paw prints on our hearts long after they've all gone. We currently have 6 cats, 3 of which are siblings we adopted 1 year ago and are loving all the chaos that they bring to our days. We can't forget our 2 ferrets, Mongo and Princess Donut- 2 of the sweetest little trouble makers we've ever had. Brian has worked as a manager in the pet retail industry for over 30 years, in a variety of settings. He has had cats and dogs his entire life, as well as keeping fresh and saltwater aquariums and building large vivariums for tree frogs. He has experience volunteering in wildlife rehab as well as handling reptiles and raptors at Zoo America in Hershey. He worked as a licensed pet sitter for many years in his twenties. Tanya has worked at several zoos and small animal veterinarian clinics. She started out as a veterinary technician, which she loved doing for 11 years. She then transitioned to being a veterinary receptionist in 2017, moving her focus from purely pet care to client care as well. Attending a variety of pet care continuing education every year and owning several pets needing daily, weekly, and monthly medications, Tanya has a wide skill range allowing her to help you keep your pet feeling their best. We both work full time, but with differing hours, allowing for availability morning, noon, & night. Brian is an early riser, so early morning walks or medication administration would be easy to accommodate. We are more than happy to follow whatever instructions you might have when visiting & caring for your pets in your home. We are open to having some exotics, or very low key dogs, in our own home for boarding. We do have six cats that run our house, so whoever is staying with us would need to get along with them.

“Megan was a true trooper with Mozart. For some reason, he would not show up when she came, always right on schedule. She made sure he was okay, put out his food, then cleaned up any that was left on her next visit. Megan did not get discouraged by Mozart not appearing. She kept to her tasks. He finally did let her see him and play with.him on her next to last visit. Would use her again.”
